Hey thanks for watching the video!
Nice to see a tractor seeding through a field with little to no dust following it. The land is finally holding some moisture.
Well done 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe 🇨🇦
Always enjoy the drone shots. Rainbow was a nice touch.
Seems the rain does not cooperate very well. Beautiful rainbow. Great idea to power wash the rake when the dirt is soft. Looks real nice and clean. Great video Jan. Thanks.
Thanks for the ride.
Loads of great footage....awesome farmers~in Sask~
Jan I love watching you and the family working on the farm. Hopefully it will be a good year after all despite the setbacks. Greetings from Australia
That’s good you’re keeping busy. It’s fascinating to watch the business of dairy farming and your great pictures, music, and dialogue. Thank you!
Kill the rpm on the tractor abit when your raking. 350-400pto rpm, it will tumble 8n the straw and dirt will fall out. And when tires sink pick the lift of the tractor abit and lift the front of the rake, wont put pressure on the rotor into the ground.
Got a kick out of this one. That "little NH tractor" is 110h.p. My "big tractor" is NH 4020 @ 60h.p. I guess it's all relative. Always enjoy your posts!
Cheers.
Cool machines
Great video use peper mint oil on a cloth small rag two or three pieces. Lay around in cab truck or tractor they cant stand the smell of it works good smells pretty good
I just love how you respect your dad... always saying dad said this, dad thinks that... love that. keep that energy.
Hey Jan how are u today love the videos
Amazing video Jan! Sweet rainbow! Gotta be a sign of great things to come to you and your family. Thanks for the video!
I had wondered how those circular rakes worked without destroying themselves pushing against the direction of travel.
Thanks for the footage showing the fingers being raised for about 1/4 of the circular travel.
Hope I got the terms correct. 🙂
GREAT WORK
Is there a reason you're seeding your new rye perpendicular to the previous years rows of growth. The drone shots of the drill are outstanding! 👍😎✌
Helps in keeping the field leveled out
@@pocketchange1951 Thnaks, I appreciate the explaination 👍😎✌
Another very interesting video Thank you
Awesome video
Good job
Busy busy busy,. You have done a great job learning to use each piece of equipment.
You have to crease it though Jan.😉
Cute little blue tractor!!
Get some of your sister cats in the barn for mice control ✌🏻👍🇺🇸
great video Jan. thank you
Hang in there!
I like watching ur videos don’t stop keep on rolling I’m from Ontario Canada I use to on a farm now I’m retired be safe out Dutch kid
Can't have it both ways, you need the moisture for planting rye but not the rain for bailing
Sometimes you need to just get 'er done!
Thanks for the new subs he’s putting out daily. Please get him to 200,000 and beyond.
Social Blade projects that the channel will be at 200K subs by the end of the year.
My God, do you have a social life? You are such a sweetheart, and I just love the New Holland Tractor!!
Jan, het wertk op de boererij is mooit klaar er is altijf wel wa5t te doen, bedankt voor het delen van de video's.
Think about a three point hitch ‘quick hitch’ attachment. Princess auto. Works great.
Would love to see the new Holland 9882 pull the slurry tanker or the burning manure spreader
Mice in barns makes barn cats 🐈 a needed feature.
I believe Neline got a few new kittens. Old barn cats were getting a bit old to hunt mice.
Terriers are actually better at killing rodents. Cats will some but they have a tendency to play with them too, instead of quickly dispatching them. There is a channel on UA-cam of a guy who uses a dog and a mink team. They are amazing at decimating rat populations. They don’t play around at all.
@@Bill_N_ATXyeah, my fathers homeplace had a cat that took their prey to a trailer that had all 4 sides up so poor sucker could not escape, played with it for an hour, unalived it and left it there.
Jan, excellent video as usual. I am not a farmer, sadly. Would you provide more explanation on some of the chores? For example, could you explain what the machines are doing when Brent is seeding, e.g. what does the white one do in the process?
The white one is an air cart. It stores and provides the seed and fertilizer to the air drill. John Deere has a short animation on how the process works: ua-cam.com/video/dF-lakj3uio/v-deo.html It's a smaller unit, but it's basically the same thing, just a smaller scale.
😀🇺🇸🇨🇱
FALLIN ON YOUR BEHIND!
Some of the coldest drone shots..
I am a big fan of you Jan..
Always watching your videos..
Nice seeding operation right there.
Definitely like to meet you one day.
I am too far from India ❤
I would like to work on your farm..
Winter is coming, you said. To which I involuntarily said... "Shut up!" The race is on for all of us.
Dirt, grain & steel had a video on how to get rid of mouse smell with vodka, it worked. Check with him.
Your buzzy sir you get it done let's gooooooo
Interesting Ive seen Brent and your family running the big Bourgant seeders as well as John from Tom's Brook Farm in Australia. Yet the millennial farmer seems to have nothing but trouble with his. Its always breaking down. Not sure its a Bourgant but its always something stopping him from a smoooth planting.
Zach runs a john deere planter..they run a drill..not the same kind of equipment
GOOD AFTERNOON
Farming is always perfect 🤮🤯
🤟🏻🇨🇦👍🏻
if the huge soil raking machine & the truck behind it was cultivating the seeds then why after planting seeds soil left open over the seeds ????🇵🇰
Amazing video Jan!
Great video Jan it's nice to see the rainbow it must mean the weather would be nice and I Certainly hope so on some of your other videos your sister Mirjam was doing the Raking but it's also nice to see you doing it.
YAN???????
On the train tracks 🚆 next to your farm, does VIA Rail's "Canadian" travel bye? If so, put up a billboard advertising your farm and UA-cam Channel.
All the times Jan has shown trains, it's always been freight trains. So only a Engineer & Brakeman on them to see a billboard.
Here in Vermont USA I have never seen a wetter summer, it sucks
cute little 110hp tractor looks like a ridding lawn mower on your farm around all your other equipment haha
Sorry you're so far behind... Wish I lived near you, I've spent many hours on a tractor seat and would be happy to help out, if even just hauling bales...
Why not wrap the round bales if they are a little wet yet?
Mold isn't good for the calves.
Wet hay, once baled, will heat up to the point of combustion and fire. If bales are stored in a barn, it's an easy way to lose a barn.
@@BigglesworthTheGrey Not to mention, plastic isn't good for the planet (besides expensive)!
If you wrap the bale it will ferment the bale into silage
But not good sileage -- too much access to oxygen. So it will be pretty moldy hay, not very good, even for cows. (Absolutely unacceptable for horses!) And that's assuming that it doesn't heat up enough to self-combust, which wet hay can do.
Well, some days you win some, some days you lose some, others days you get rained out.
We pray to the lord for rain and them complain when our prayers are answered!!!!!!
Not the behind wanted…“Winter is coming,” said Jan Stark…“You have a drumstick and your brain stops tickin’” 🍗…alignment challenge again…“How do you unplug? Pull the string.”…
seed drill montage is fantastic; love the dub; the fade in/out of the machinery sound was unexpected; slow-mo made it feel like a fighter flying round its target/mother ship…second montage is nice and upbeat; enjoyed the difference in the dubs…
intense blues…seeing a hint of another part of Jan; thank you for sharing more of yourself…dirty rake, dirty boy; eh, just need hosed off; oo, oo, oo, pick me, pick me!…like seeing first half 🌈; waiting for second half to show up 🦏…I see it on the edge!
I was hoping that moth balls would help on keeping the mice out maybe buster needs to do a better job!
Why you one direction one time then change direction the next? Curious as to why?
I can understand your disappointment.
But just think how the cash cropper feels.sees you getting your fall crops in when he would like to be doing the same but the bales are in the way.
You sould of ask him if he rather have you moving bales and leave some tracks the other day.
If you are using the bale hauler to move the bales it might work if you put 4 less bales on that would keep a lot of weight off the trailer so you don't make tracks.
At least you can get something moved that way.
Just a idea.
Half loads is what we have to do some wet falls to get the crop off.
👍👌❤️🇨🇦
Do you put anything down so there is no weeds in the whole area around the barn, all the dirt or gravel or whatever you have there? Never no weeds growing that I can see.
Another awesome video Jan you have so much to catch up on but i have no doubt that you and your family will push on and get it done
You're not afraid of long days you done a lot of them when you were bailing
That seeder that Brent is driving looks massive what width dose it cover And your drone footage was amazing
I really enjoyed watching your videos
Looking forward to the next one
Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Bummer u guys can't catch a break trying to bail that up
Get a more powerful auger 😊
See you just thought you won'ted to be a hay farmer.😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Need more bodies. But yall got this
❤
How do the rake paddles know when to go up or down?
The arms run on a cam, that rotates them as they spin. The Scientist Hay Farmer explains how they work: ua-cam.com/video/Gqcwr0zBC7w/v-deo.html
Thanks Jan for the new episode. 👍👍
Put gloves and cracked pepper in your cabs of your tractor
I think you meant "cloves"^😊
@@alisciamarotta3888 No, gloves, they make a lovely mouse home with 5 little bedrooms!
Hi there kid
I honestly don't understand how you can tolerate mice in your equipment like it's easy enough to look where they get in and silicone or glue the hole ..
Hire some temporary help
Love the drone shots! 🚜🎮💧🌧☔
Didn't grease the rake
How do you know? 😂🤡
Those my eyes decease me or You buy a new holland small square baller 5070 hayliner ??
Complain when it doesn't rain and complain when it does rain lol
dirty rake for a dirty bird
Better get your hired man to work a little harder.
Need a good hired man?
Who is Brent???
Their full-time hired mechanic.
I thought so. Didnt he say his dad did the seeding??? That's where I got confused
@@IRONLION003 Brent usually does the seeding, and the combine harvesting.
