- Quick video of me shooting my M4A1 Block II clone with an Aimpoint Comp M4s red dot sight. I want to get better at long distance shooting with my AR-15 using my Trijicon ACOG, but I can't forget to practice closer distance drills either!
The Comp M4s is an excellent red dot that I primarily chose for simplicity of the reticule and solid reputation.
Comp M4 is a great red dot. Solid as a rock .
I have a Comp M4 on my Block II, love it.
Bro the CompM4S is rad. I want one but got three Aimpoint Pros for a little more money. Im gonna build a Block 2 soon. I have a couple parts. Cool stuff man
Thanks brotha. Honestly having 3 PROs is pretty sick though hahaha
@jamesshoots Yeah, I love Aimpoint and Eotech. The Aimpoint Pro looks really cool also. The CompM4S looks even better. I think it's the best red dot on the market and so sexy on a Block 2, but I have 8 ARs to kit out, so I had to go a little cheaper. Ideally, I could get a CompM4S and an ACOG for two of my M4s, but I can't spend that much. I do have an ACOG on layaway for an A4. I'm gonna get that DD M4A1 upper one of these days. Your channel is awesome, and you have great taste in guns. The perspective through the optic is some of the best I've seen. Thanks, man. I appreciate your work.
Thanks man, that really means a lot! Def gonna do more of that POV type stuff!
And yeah totally understand, lot of money there, but that’ll be a pretty sweet collection you have there once it’s all done 👌
Loving the pov view.
So tactical 🙏
Nice!
I’m building a block II m4 and am debating between an acog and comp m4s seeing as you have both which do you prefer overall?
Hey! Short answer: Comp M4S because it's a closer-quarters optic and that's the likeliest scenario for me
Longer answer... oh man they're very different so I think it depends on whether you want to make your M4 a closer-in weapon or a longer-range one. I stick with the Comp M4S because I wanted a dedicated home/general defense rifle and I have the most trigger time behind this gun. I love the ACOG, but I mainly keep it on my M16A4 clone because I just love shooting that rifle and it's a great excuse to practice a new skill. The ACOG I have is also for the 20" barrel and I don't plan on buying another one specifically for the M4 lol.
Money aside, I see no problem with having both with QD mounts and then just switching them based on what you wanna do!
@@jamesshoots Thank you for the detailed response I’ve been leaning more towards the aimpoint myself. I don’t really have a specific purpose for this rifle I’m building it more so just to have a block II, however, it would make a great SHTF option and I want an optic that is as robust as the rifle and feel the m4s and acog are my best choices considering I don’t have elcan money.

Get the Comp M4 and then add a magnifier. Now you’re set. 🤷🏻♂️
Durring your first set of fire did you ND your light? Looks like your thumb was on the button and recoil made you flash it
Yeah it looks like it - it looks like it stayed on for a while and it took me a bit of time to see it! My grip must have slipped
for 1000$ and the lense being that small i just casnt seemto get this i might get the pro.
For sure, you can't go wrong with the PRO. Honestly for my use case that would've been just fine! I've had the PRO and it's still solid.
so built a clone of a clone lol?
LOL basically
remember me when you blow up
Is your ADM mount for the comp m4 the lower 1/3 version or absolute co witness version??
It’s the lower 1/3! I like it a lot. I haven’t had any problems with it coming loose, losing zero, etc in the 1.5-2ish years I’ve had it. I wanted to hide the logos so I just used electrical tape to cover them
@@jamesshoots I actually just noticed your overview video right after I asked the question. I immediately ordered the lower 1/3 mount for my M4S. I love LaRue but I can’t stand that ugly gap in the mount lol so I went with ADM
@@ThatsAmore2142-mz1dj lol I totally get that, ngl the looks were a big factor in me not choosing LaRue as well hahah
