🙄 Honestly I simply cannot understand how you would plan a wedding to someone you have never met. Many years ago, I had a penpal. We would write, send photos and speak on the phone (back in 1989, so no internet). We got on extremely well over several years of communication. So when he invited me to stay with him one Thanksgiving, I jumped at the chance to finally meet him. Within the first hour of meeting him, he was annoying the beejeebees out of me. He spoke with his mouth full, tunelessly whistled and had terrible wind. I annoyed him too with my smoking and whatnot. Needless to say, the trip was a disaster and we never contacted each other ever again. So I can understand being attracted to a photo online or being turned on by a phone call, but neither of these prepare you for actually meeting face to face in real life. Getting to know a real person with all their disgusting and annoying habits is the first step to be taken....NOT planning a friggen wedding.
True, that happened to me too, in the time when I had pen-friends. In letters - paper or online - you have all the time in the world to think about how to express yourself, to make the best possible impression. In reality... you cannot hold this up for long.
@@iHeartAmySue Do you mean that ironically..? In that case: it IS good advice. It is so easy to let your imagination run wild when you have connected with someone of the opposite sex, and especially if you have difficulties meating anyone IRL. Your imagination starts to fill in positive things that are not there, and you choose to ignore the bad things that shine through. That is what is happening in these romance scams, but - as MrsSlocombesPuddyCat, and also I, pointed out: it can happen even if the person on the other side is who he says he is. He can still have annoying habits, an unpleasant smell, feminine mannerisms, a strange way of walking, a mother, big sister or ex wife who is controlling him... To plan a wedding when you have only seen pictures and chatted with your "groom" is absurd.

Women with children need to be extra cautious about letting a man into their lives no matter what the distance. Children must protected from those who may hurt or take advantage of them. Mothers, wake up. I live near Seattle and a local woman met a man online. Second date he murdered her. Hurting women can go way beyond financial hardship with irreversible consequences The woman murdered was a mother, too..
Yes yes yes. I honestly don't think women should introduce a man to her children, let alone bring him around, until she's so serious that she plans on marrying the man and staying with him until her kids are at least 18. iF you need a man at all. Preferably make it work with the father of the kids, if you can't, then try not to date anyone until your youngest hits 18. If you absolutely can't put your children first then at least be sure you'll marry the man and keep him around until they're 18. Kids are seriously so devastated by divorce and step parents. Even when things go great!! Yeah, I know it's hard. I'm doing my best to stay with the father of my children even though it's incredibly difficult. But my kids come first so I'm gonna find a way to keep the family together no matter what. If I can do it, most women can
I "met" one of these scammers I only spoke to him because he said he was in Cypress (I though he ment Cypress Texas up the road) I would sent a brief note and get a long crazy note back. Well done Crystal. Not dumb as a post like many of the others on these videos. I strung one along for three weeks once. The bitcoin machines I went to kept being broken! Then I sent him/her an article about Nigerian Romance Scammers and asked their thoughts on it.
They ask for a small amount. The victim begins to feel they have invested in the “relationship”, so they ignore red flags. This grows worse. Some are buying dreams and love. Some are greedy, believing the other person is rich. Some are just easy emotional prey. Some are spiritual prey. Some are just brain challenged.
Good job Crystal!! You listened to your inner self and put a stop to this before it went too far! Good luck to you! And try to enjoy being single while it lasts! When you meet the right person, you will know it 😊 Take care!
I love how these scammers say how well off they are and then magically they somehow lose it all and get hit by cars and sh** lol they go way over the top which is where I have trouble understanding how ppl continue to believe this stuff.
Kristina Lasic I met this young man on A dating called BBW ( I’m plus size and beautiful ) he’s about 14 years younger than me and he’s Nigerian (He’s lives there) he’s a musical artist there (it’s true) he has some videos-here on UA-cam and on on Spotify, Amazon & ITunes. So we met at the end of September he’s a sweet and caring guy we did first video chat, phone chat & text everyday on WhatsApp. Since SARS began with protests back in October things were bad there so like s a couple of weeks in October he asked me for money to get food and petro ( gas)for the electric to work of course like five days after we me he fell in love with me (yup same ole line) Because he hasn’t been able to perform shows since all that craziness there the show he performed was mid September so I’m like wow he’s asking for like $300 so ok me being nice I sent him $200 thru an mobile app which they can receive cash in minutes they just go at an ATM. Now the thing is he didn’t disappear he was appreciative that I helped him. Now we are still talking everyday no disappearing acts yet so as of 2 weeks ago he need $1000.00 to go To Dubai for his music thing and that the people taking care of his music stuff will pay for hotel , food & transportation while there for 1 week so he tells me he’s to be paid $1 million and would give me back my money two weeks later(nope not giving dude no money) so he had to reschedule everything for this week as of Monday to go to Dubai so he gave some agent my number (All thru WhatsApp) btw my number is a Google number so this agent messaged me and left a voice note explaining the situation for my friend and both of them sent me receipts showing what needs to be paid for the flight there. Ok so this agent works for this company called HM Global Connect which I did google and could not find any info on this company (Hmm a fake company idk) then somehow a few days asked if could help out with $600 or 700 instead of the $1000. So my friend is making feel guilty for not sending anymore money for food water etc and helping him with his flight ticket. I’m like I can’t send anything so he feels I’m being heartless because I didn’t answer a couple of calls or texts and he says he really want to be with me forever and it’s just crazy this situation because I really like him a lot had feelings for him almost 3 months now. But damn he asked for money. I do feel bad for him but I don’t know if his money or not. No with the sending mon thru the mobile app[ which is legit] so my friend doesn’t have my personal info at all just my name. He gave me his whole name and bank of course. So he left me bunches of text messages because the opportunity has gone but there is a chance he can redo this next mont because his Visa expires the end of next month. I’m still not sending any money so if we never speak again so be it. Now it’s crazy I was like his only chance to get money from so crazy right? I do see live videos of him in his home studio making music with his producer and sends me other videos later also. Well now needs money for food etc he told me a childhood friend has been helping him with some food and water not much tho. Again he’s not forcing me t help him but feels I should because we are together as couple ( I don’t see it that way) but I do care for him so idk I just don’t think I should be sending anymore money (just that one time) now don’t Know if I will ever get it back even tho he say he will eventually $200 is money don’t care if it’s a lot more. So yeah that’s my story.
@@deloresannwells If I needed money, I would never dream of asking a random stranger online for it. Maybe that is why these scams are so successful, most of us are naive and would never do these things ourselves and we can't believe that other people are capable of it. You can not marry someone that you have never met. Its just not going to work. I communicated with someone for mearly 12 months. I developed feelings and we exchanged love letters (I was young). When I finally met him he had bad, bad breath, table manners like a hog, smoked like a chimney (his car was full of cigarettes and ash) and he had bad hygiene to name just a few things. I only went out with him once and it was over.
Yes! Dramas. If I believed he was for real, I'd think he just had some really bad karma. Some folks just have bad stuff happening. All. The. Time. I don't want any of that negativity in my life. I'd offer a prayer. Give him some words of comfort, and ghost. Guess this works for how to handle a scammer, too.
Sad this happens everyday ! The world need something to help ! Please please please never send money to anyone you never met. No matter how much they love you . Love should be priceless
@Scamming Non Scammers Trust me model looking people will scam other model looking people. Ugly people will scam ugly people. 90% of your friends and family will "borrow" money from you and never return it with no intentions of returning it when they borrowed it, which is a form of scam. Bottom line is if you don't want to lose money never send money to anyone, that you do not mind losing. Only give or lend If it will not matter to you if you never hear from the person again.Often when you lend you think it will strengthen your family or friend relationship, but they will start to avoid you because they owe you and don't want to pay you.
Should be more services out there to run back round checks on number names and more most are a rip-off sadly I feel bad for anyone that actually is in trouble and needs help . Sad to say scammer ruin online trust and people searching for love .
Revealing your experience helps 100%. But.. he will do it to others again, in fact they are probably talking to hundreds of others simultaneously as a group/team.

I’m sorry but the photoshopped hospital picture is 😂😂😂😂💀💀💀! I’m happy she found out he’s a scam!
The phone beside him lmao 😂
it looks photoshopped glad she was not scammed
I just don’t get it...she was going to marry someone without meeting him??🤦♀️ I’m glad she came to her senses and she is going to help someone else. God bless her and her family!
Usually 'coming to their senses' happens when they run out of money.
Like an arranged marriage haha
OMG. I would like to say thank you very much showing this educated video.
Thats great that she invested her time in Social Catfish and found out the truth.
Women with children need to be extra cautious about letting a man into their lives no matter what the distance. Children must protected from those who may hurt or take advantage of them. Mothers, wake up. I live near Seattle and a local woman met a man online. Second date he murdered her. Hurting women can go way beyond financial hardship with irreversible consequences
The woman murdered was a mother, too..
If I can do it, most women can
@@elipotter369You said you told her you didn’t notice, that doesn’t really sound like immediate belief
@@elipotter369 I got it now! I’m glad she’s ok and you took her seriously!
Yeah don’t date single women. The man will never be a priority. It’s a lose lose situation.
She’s so pretty well spoken and educated. Wish her the best.
😆
she is not. i doubt she has better than a high school education. she is ok, but she is not well spoken.
Beauty is in the eye of the beer beholder haha
@@amysharp6 🤣🤣🤣 you're funny 🤣
not a single thing pretty about this woman. except she's pretty stupid. not educated either. middle school is generous.
Ma'am 6:15 is all you need to finalize the decision to run far away. I mean they didn't even TRY to make that Photoshop chop work look authentic. 🥴😂🤣
What I love about this is how smart women are getting. Stay aware ladies(and gentlemen).
I "met" one of these scammers I only spoke to him because he said he was in Cypress (I though he ment Cypress Texas up the road) I would sent a brief note and get a long crazy note back. I was sharing it with friends and "trolling" him. But, seriously it'd exhausting. Just relentless non sense he had the whole b.s the dead wife, the motherless daughter, bring sent to Benin and warning of pirates I finally said "I think we want different things so good luck!" And got a hysterical note back about why yikes!
There is only one way that it will stop and that’s if people stop sending them money.
They are not going to stop.
Love that the scammers used the picture of Richard Hammond from Amazon Prime’s show The Grand Tour from his car accident in season one.
This a different kind of heartbreak. Thanks to you all for educating people. Thank God I got out early enough.
Молодцы, что сделали такую передачу. У меня тоже был, и не один, опыт снакомств, только я никому денег не давала, хотя иной раз очень хотелось помочь.
To be very truthful what young man is going to want a single mother with five kids??? no shade on you Crystal, but think about it. You can do just fine without a man or without this man you know in your heart he’s a scammer just run like hell
I completely agree! I'm a single mom, myself and ...yeah.

That inheritance letter! 💀💀💀
I retired from nursing, was around many doctors over the years & can't even imagine one of them sending emails/doing something like that. That's laughable.
But I do feel bad for this lady, she's beautiful & certainly never deserved that.
So right. They would absolutely have someone else do it. They just can’t be bothered to do those mundane tasks.😊
Hahahahaaha!!! That photoshopped face on the body in the hospital bed is just hilarious!!
Once I heard 'he got hit by a truck' I'm surprised by the host keeping a straight face without laughing
On the way to the airport no less
Well done Crystal. Not dumb as a post like many of the others on these videos. I strung one along for three weeks once. The bitcoin machines I went to kept being broken! Then I sent him/her an article about Nigerian Romance Scammers and asked their thoughts on it.
They ask for a small amount. The victim begins to feel they have invested in the “relationship”, so they ignore red flags. This grows worse. Some are buying dreams and love. Some are greedy, believing the other person is rich. Some are just easy emotional prey. Some are spiritual prey. Some are just brain challenged.
Yup greedy!!! Believing their help of 50K will allow them to share the scammer's 50 million.
Well said. They attack from all angles and see who they swoop up.
All are brain challenged
Did he send that hospital pic???
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good job Crystal!! You listened to your inner self and put a stop to this before it went too far!
Good luck to you! And try to enjoy being single while it lasts! When you meet the right person, you will know it 😊
Take care!
This is an honest and smart woman ..Hope she finds true love ..
That picture of him in the hospital bed is fake fake fake. I was laughing hard.
Crystal, you are a boss, thank you for sharing. Listening to you, I knew the silly scrammer was going to take an L.
I liked her too.
I burst out laughing when I saw that picture of him in the hospital 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think it's a great service that you do for people. Keep up the good work.
I love how these scammers say how well off they are and then magically they somehow lose it all and get hit by cars and sh** lol they go way over the top which is where I have trouble understanding how ppl continue to believe this stuff.
I tried to contact Catfished and they were very rude and did not reply
He looks like he's young enough to be her son.

Nothing wrong with that. Many men are into older women.
I don't know any young man of another race into a single mother of 5 and older that's unrealistic

Not sure where you live
I'm happy for her, she didn't get deeper in emotional hell.
Yooo . Lol he used Richard Hammond's hospital picture 🤣🤣
Thank you everyone for helping us.
Their pattern are so many dramas, they are criminal.
Exactly....”I got hit on the way to the airport”, that’s such a red flag. Always some kind of “drama”, and that’s really the catalyst for a huge scam.
Yes!
Never send money to people that you met.
Miss lake you nailed it
@Scamming Non Scammers Trust me model looking people will scam other model looking people.
Yet again nailing it Cathy
Should be more services out there to run back round checks on number names and more most are a rip-off sadly I feel bad for anyone that actually is in trouble and needs help . Sad to say scammer ruin online trust and people searching for love .
Revealing your experience helps 100%. But.. he will do it to others again, in fact they are probably talking to hundreds of others simultaneously as a group/team.
