Very commendable attitude - to just forget it and move on (remembering the learned lesson). Confrontation would be meaningless, as the scammer could care less. What a smart, attractive young lady!
The team needs to stop using words like "relationship", "lover," and "dating." They solidify the delusion. Also show more of what the actual Nigerian scammers look like and how they behave, rather than going into the history of the person whose picture was stolen.
I met my ex (father of my daughter) online when he was 24 and I was 32. We had a good relationship, until we decided to separate. Then I met a man 18 years younger than me who never asked anything from me, except love and time for him each time he came to visit me. It was beautiful, but being so much older than he was, I got tired of playing girlfriend. We remained friends and he is still wonderful. However... That was way before scammers were a common thing. Today, I am single, older, and I wouldn't risk anything for someone I have never seen in person. And I don't believe long-distance, no-contact romance.
Trying to find love on dating sites is like trying to win the lotto. What are the odds😂😂😂 And there's always that one story about a couple who met on a dating site and are now blissfully happy🤔🤔🤔 And many people are chasing this type of ending but it's like searching for a needle in a haystack.
It is a scam if you can't talk to them over the phone or video chat and most definitely if they ask to borrow money or need game cards ! I'm hoping these videos wake people up !
At least she found out before handing over thousands of dollars to a scammer. If someone won't meet a beautiful woman in person but asks for money, then that is all he wants is the money.
As soon as they say they don’t want to meet up block them they are either hiding something are not who they claim to be or they are not actually interested and are just leading you on to get cash
Exactly. A friend who is married next weekend to a guy she met online told me that her rule was that if they won't meet for a first date within a week of connecting online, she would not keep talking to them. If they said they were out of town or out of the country, she told them she was not interested in anything long-distance and not to contact her again until they were back in town and able to meet in person. She met some creeps in person, but avoided getting scammed online and they stopped targeting her because they knew she wouldn't keep talking to them if they couldn't meet.
Shes pretty. Why does she need to meet someone online anyway? She certainly doesn't need to send money. I wish the staff of catfish would quit referring to this online nonsense as relationships. Something odd about this episode.
Clearly she wants a dude that's conventionally hot AF. This woman would have 0 problem meeting a normal guy, probably a relatively attractive and successful one. But she wants that gay super model level of hot dude. Usually it's the men that fall for this, glad to see she's working for equality.
Many use online dating, unfortunately a lot of good avg or slightly avg guys never receive messages back .because women have unlimited options , so an avg looking women can receive messages from all sorts of guys daily. She's gonna weed out the guys that aren't as attractive
I gave up on dating years ago, I'm only 39, it's too much stress whether in person or online unless you're in the upper tier looks wise. It wasn't like this 10 years ago
Very refreshing to see someone who's clued in enough to say 'enough'. She's also very attractive & likeable so I'm sure that there's some real love in her future.
Yucari is a change from the usual Catfished client. She’s not the sad, lonely, older woman who believes anything for the affirmation of a good looking stranger. She never totally abandoned her suspicions and only sent money when he found her soft spot, animals. Even then she only dipped her toe in the water rather than diving in completely. This woman is young, beautiful, and intelligent. She’s living proof at anyone is potential scam material. It’s too bad. He didn’t send her the picture of him in the sailor outfit. That pretty much said it all.
How could you feel that someone who is “genuine” and a “good person” doesn’t have a single, solitary friend irl to ask for money if he’s in a tough place?
My former girlfriend fell for a overseas military man.. I tried telling her it wasn't real.. she ended up hating me, stole money from me to send gift cards and kicked me out of our house(in her name).. she then sold the house I remodeled to send the equity in gift cards.. currently sleeps at a relatives house waiting for "James" to be released from the military. Sh turned into a really bad person and took a knife to her wrist when he didnt show up for Christmas due to the fantasy they created.. KARMA is laughing at her..
The biggest red flag to me is that all these scammers are not looking for partners in their own country, state or town. I have had hundreds contact me on FB and I always ask them why they are not looking for someone locally.......they have no answer for that. A genuine person would be looking locally where they could meet up in person and go from there. I'm now 66 years old and I meet guys all the time, my age and younger, who flirt with me and want to date but I'm happy on my own and not looking for a relationship. My point is that we can find someone locally no matter our age or life circumstances. So beware those contacting you from other countries or too far away to visit you.
A lot of the people that come here for help are people that generally struggle finding love. This girl is a beautiful young woman. She’s definitely not your typical client.
Being young and beautiful doesn't mean it's easy to find love. Look at the pretty young women who fell for the Tinder Swindler. Cecile had been single for years and doing online dating. You'd think a pretty young woman in London would have no problem finding a boyfriend but she still fell victim
“How do you feel about online dating?” Online dating is supposed to be a way for people to meet each other in person. If you’re not in person, it’s not dating. Find someone online, talk a bit, then meet up for a drink in a public area or something. This isn’t that difficult
Online dating worked for me. What I did was when I matched someone and was intrigued during the first days of writing, I'd soon schedule an online video date with them. That already saved me from some weirdos. If the video chat went well then I'd next date them in real life. Which worked so well that we're now engaged and planning our wedding 😂
I love how her response to an internet stranger saying he loved her was a heart emoji and a misspelling of his first name! That is the first time I have seen a normal response to something like that.
If someone doesn't want to be seen on video that's a red flag! And remember, photos and videos can be altered also! If you're suspicious of the video link ask the person to wave at you! Do reverse image searches of photos! Most scammers use the same photos of the same person over and over usually of minor influencers and porn actors!
He knew that saying his dog was sick would soften her. He wasn’t getting anywhere until he claimed he needed the money for his “sick dog”. No one can turn down helping when a sick pet is involved. These scammers know all the tricks.
Honestly it only took about $200 for her to stop. That's MUCH better than most of the others where it takes 100k or more and they still keep doing it. She's also young and good looking so she'll be fine as far as finding dates. Just gotta be a bit smarter in the future lol
"Chris" is not only an obvious scammer; he also prefers men to women. This lady seems nice. I'm sorry she got scammed but glad she set a limit of $200.
I wonder why they didn't immediately meet/arrange an offline meeting after several chats on Tinder. I'd give a match roughly a fortnight to meet up before I'd just unmatch if we didn't manage to meet offline.
Somehow, I feel like that makes it worse. Odds are Yukari probably turned down some real men while chasing this Arnold Schwarzenegger wannabe. The regret must be painful. Then again, she's Japanese so 90% of her matches are probably weirdos asking if she likes anime.

My King, I love you. I can only run into your arms, my handsome King…❤❤❤PS I’m skint, you can’t send me a couple of quid through the post, can you?😅😅😅😅
They always call the women Babe or Baby because they can't remember their names. Once they ask for money, that should be a MASSIVE RED FLAG!
DON'T FORGET 'KWEEN' 🤪
FINALLY someone that has not been TAKEN for EVERYTHING! Bravo to her, I love this episode! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽💜☮️
What d'ya mean "Bravo to her"? She fell for a scammer! 😂
@@birdyfilovingheart6365 Yea…but not taken for EVERYTHING! I think was his point.
@@birdyfilovingheart6365 Not quite. She could afford to send him $200 and as she said maybe he needed money more than she did. She had a lurking suspicion that he was a scammer and stopped right there.
Since when they did start doing the, 'shocked face' youtube reaction video style thumbnails 😂😂
My thumbnail didn’t look like that. They probably have a/b tested thumbnails that change according to your audience info. I guess you click on those types of videos more often? 😭
Yeah the thumbnails are getting confusing cause it started with “guys don’t judge the victims” and yet they now do it just on the thumbnails.
@@totallytalia that's crazy interesting - my thumbnail also doesn't have the shocked face. It's the black guy idk his name doing a confused face in the middle (wouldn't call it shocked) then the woman on the right and the fake catfish on the left
@@totallytalia I try to actively avoid them, hence why I noticed it in the first place lol
Poor girl. She is one of those who smiles a lot when she is actually upset. One of my friends does that and it breaks my heart. It's just a reaction some people have. I'm glad she didn't lose too much. ❤❤
Very commendable attitude - to just forget it and move on (remembering the learned lesson). Confrontation would be meaningless, as the scammer could care less. What a smart, attractive young lady!
There is no such thing as an “online lover” what the heck messed up world is this 😂
The team needs to stop using words like "relationship", "lover," and "dating." They solidify the delusion. Also show more of what the actual Nigerian scammers look like and how they behave, rather than going into the history of the person whose picture was stolen.
@@junemarshall-kingsley566 Exactly. And they keep referring to the scammer by the phoney name even well after outing them. It is irritating.
Men who look like that don’t need to date online. They can simply walk out the door any single hour.
Trying to find love on dating sites is like trying to win the lotto. What are the odds😂😂😂 And there's always that one story about a couple who met on a dating site and are now blissfully happy🤔🤔🤔 And many people are chasing this type of ending but it's like searching for a needle in a haystack.
A man asking me for money would be the greatest turn-off ever…. It’s so emasculating.
Number #1 Tip: If anyone you are talking to wants to borrow 1 penny it is a SCAM!!!
She can smile when finding out because it was only 200 dollars

Best looking Catfished person so far
I can't understand how these people are in positions of responsibility. It's very sad ❤
My gaydar is going off.
Lol same!
Ditto.
Bingo!!!!!
happy pride month
Mine too.
If they ask for money they are a scam. The End
Yukari has such a good outlook on what she experienced. You go Yukari!
Most younger people meet online these days.
The “relationship “ thing is crazy. If you’ve never met someone face to face, you are not dating and you certainly aren’t in a relationship.
Note to anyone looking for love online--- as soon as the person starts telling u about the first problem --BLOCK THEM
I wish people would spend the money on a good therapist or several before sending money to online pictures of people
Very refreshing to see someone who's clued in enough to say 'enough'.
Soon as these men start asking for money block them
NO REAL MAN WILL ASK YOU FOR MONEY OR LET YOU KNOW THEY BROKE
he didn't wanna video call because he doesn't wanna show his true face
My former girlfriend fell for a overseas military man.. I tried telling her it wasn't real.. she ended up hating me, stole money from me to send gift cards and kicked me out of our house(in her name).. she then sold the house I remodeled to send the equity in gift cards.. currently sleeps at a relatives house waiting for "James" to be released from the military. Sh turned into a really bad person and took a knife to her wrist when he didnt show up for Christmas due to the fantasy they created.. KARMA is laughing at her..
who the f remodels a house that their name isn't on
Johnm; and I’m laughing at you. So, lots of loling going on huh?
I'm sorry you went through this but in the end you didn't dodge a bullet but a SCUD missle.
@@grreeeeee I'm sure he didn't anticipate being kicked curbside for the Invisible Gigolo. He should have had his tarot cards read....
Your ex is a mentally ill woman.... While I feel bit sorry for her, you should count yourself lucky for having an escape.
She almost got away but she trusted the fantasy instead
it was the sick dog that got her. At least she only lost $200 where these old geezers on here send thousands and bankrupt themselves
She didn't trust anything and refused to send him money until the dog issue came up.
“How do you feel about online dating?”
Online dating is supposed to be a way for people to meet each other in person. If you’re not in person, it’s not dating.
Find someone online, talk a bit, then meet up for a drink in a public area or something.
This isn’t that difficult
Spot on 👌
Online dating worked for me. What I did was when I matched someone and was intrigued during the first days of writing, I'd soon schedule an online video date with them. That already saved me from some weirdos. If the video chat went well then I'd next date them in real life. Which worked so well that we're now engaged and planning our wedding 😂
He travels all around the world and cannot afford to pay for his dogs vet bills.🙄
I love how her response to an internet stranger saying he loved her was a heart emoji and a misspelling of his first name! That is the first time I have seen a normal response to something like that.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm sure that was edited by the catfished team, not the real response from their conversations.
Well done for realising quickly gurl! YES! kudos.
I'm a senior citizen but I think I have enough smarts to know anyone who ask for money are scammers
Anyone else notice her name changed to Kristine a few times on the “chat” shot bits?
6:20... You beat me to the comment 😅
Yup and I find it super weird
He obviously needed a few bucks to buy himself a shirt 😂

He knew that saying his dog was sick would soften her. He wasn’t getting anywhere until he claimed he needed the money for his “sick dog”. No one can turn down helping when a sick pet is involved. These scammers know all the tricks.
That girl is gorgeous. She does not need tinder to meet a good man.
Dating apps are for everyone, not just ugly desperate people lol
I was thinking the same thing. What a beautiful smile. Someone that lovely and charming should find someone great. Dating apps do help, even then.

Honestly it only took about $200 for her to stop. That's MUCH better than most of the others where it takes 100k or more and they still keep doing it. She's also young and good looking so she'll be fine as far as finding dates. Just gotta be a bit smarter in the future lol
She’s so sweet, especially when she talked about helping him with his dog…❤
"What attracted me to him was he was genuine. " 🤔🤭

@@tina_b13 hahaha, that's fair! i only use Tinder when i'm not busy, like in the summer break, so it's always Meet ASAP or We Won't Progress.

Back in the day I also fell in love with my poster of shakira.
Well at least this one is attractive. Usually it's a "1" or a "2" going for a "10"
Somehow, I feel like that makes it worse. Odds are Yukari probably turned down some real men while chasing this Arnold Schwarzenegger wannabe. The regret must be painful.
Then again, she's Japanese so 90% of her matches are probably weirdos asking if she likes anime.
