A Simple Delivery! | Snow Runner Career | Episode 2 - First Mission - Farm Tools
Loved the this looks easy and your perseverance as things went from bad to worse. Thoroughly entertaining.
Thanks, coyi! Things definitely went sideways in this one. I mean, it's got to get better after this, I'd think. :)
Oh, that was brilliantly funny. Nothing like an easy job.
Thanks, super easy job. Done before I knew it. :)
Bless you heart! This is more the experience I have had with the game 😂 thank you for not shying away from showing us this!
I was thinking to delete it because it wouldn't be interesting, but I'm glad I didn't. The good thing is that it's impossible not to improve from this. :)
@@ZillaBlitz You say that now...
@@DragonsAteOurName Yes, I do get the sense that it might be possible to actually do worse than we did today...
@@ZillaBlitz AHAHAHAHA🤣 I can't wait!
That is hilarious!!!!! I was getting just as frustrated as you were (ok, probably not that much, since you cut away from it quite a bit LOL)
Thanks, I think! :) Yeah, it was not one of my shining gaming moments. Picking up the wrong trailer really set things off to a bad start. :)
Loved the video, but I'll be honest, I'm not sure how it would remind me of me!!!
Green screen is crispy-sharp in this vid. Top work!
Thanks! I think it was something about showing failure? I confess, I'm not 100% sure what she's talking about either. I think we did remarkably well here, totally nailed this mission. ;)
Omg this is the best video I've ever seen on what not to do this is quality entertainment. I love your optimism. That was slick hooking the wench up to the trailer even though it was the wrong one. Keep up the good work and keep on trucking buddy you just got a sub lol I can't say much I was going the wrong way the whole time I kept getting stuck so your video did help me lol
Thanks, Dustin! I think this might be the worst I've ever done in a gaming session in my life. :) I'm glad it provided a laugh. It still cracks me up when I think of it. :) Welcome aboard, I've taken a bit of a break from Snow Runner but I'm planning to make a new episode this weekend. :)
@@ZillaBlitz ya I'm really enjoying it.
@@ZillaBlitz it's not a type of game I normally play.
Me neither! :)
2:15 erm is that the wrong trailer? Why’s there an icon on that other one? 😂 Now that was some adventure game level puzzle solving to get yourself and the trailer free from the rocks! Very well done! 20:35 at this point the farmer is just thinking what the hell is this guy doing? 🤣 Yep, I though so, what an amazing turn of events!
I sure wish I had that initial thought when I picked up the trailer. In my defense, it was kind of dark. We'll get this next time! :)
That was marvellous - your optimism throughout, idea after idea until the realisation finally dawned! Love it, glad you showed it to us all buddy!
Thanks, Greeno! I was 50-50 whether to post it or not, thinking it might not be interesting. But after editing it down I figured, "What the heck, why not." I do think I ended up learning a lot that might come in handy in the future.
Oh-boy I was enjoying this episode - had me laughing during the second half. All these great ideas and unstoppable optimism and then the look on your face realizing 😂. Thanks for posting and not skipping - this is the part that we all go through now and then when trying out new stuff!
Thanks, Jeppe! I'm glad you liked it. It was definitely an adventure. I suspect there will be similar adventures going forward, but I'm hoping that they aren't quite as "epic fail" as this one. :)
Mate, that was hilarious. 😂
Thanks, Sounder! I'm glad I didn't delete it. My initial thought was "This is so bad no one will ever want to watch it." Then I figured that this channel isn't about being good at games so much as having fun with them, so yeah, up it went. :)
Well, I have not seen that before. Thanks for the entertaining video. Before you get better trucks that can deal with mud consider doing jobs that start from the town area. That way you will repair more infrastructure and roads. Consider driving around with the small jeep (scout class) and open up the map. The highway trucks get a bit better when you upgrade them with mud tyres but if it does not have all-wheel drive, I would be scared getting near a puddle. Good luck and have fun!
Oh, I'll look for those jobs, thanks SK. And that makes sense with the repairing infrastructure, too. I didn't realize that was a thing (beyond building the first bridge), but now that I look at the map, I can see what you mean. And I will do some scouting in the next episode, for sure. Thanks for the tips! :)
Colonel Failure would have been so proud of this episode!
Yeah, I'm not sure that I've played a game and messed something up so badly. I think Colonel Failure was a passenger in my truck tonight. :)
All this time I'm thinking "That is an unusual load for a farm" but after seeing what I need to haul in ETS, I figured the game must work in mysterious ways. This was sooo funny Zilla.
Somewhere in the back of my brain, I remember it asking me the same question while I was doing this mission. "Why do farm tools look like steel beams? That's weird." I ignored it, though. Sure wish I leaned into that question a bit more at the time. :) And thanks!
I was thinking that those farm tools looked very much like the bridge building supplies from the tutorial, Zilla. Still, full marks to you for posting this !
Haha! Yes, in retrospect those were some fairly odd-looking farm tools. I really wasn't thinking. :)
This was fantastic. Just got into snowrunner myself and Ill tell you right now I will watch every episode you release of this series. Keep it up! looking forward to more episodes!
Thanks for the kind words, Nick! I'm enjoying this quite a bit and am planning to keep making episodes, yes. :)
I love this series
Thanks, Bassin! Hoping I can improve from this episode! Thanks for stopping in. :)
Dude. Wow 😃.
Yeah, that was a slog. Having said that, I actually enjoy this sort of trouble-shooting, and even though it was a failure in the end, I feel like I figured out a few things that will come in handy in the future. I'm hoping that every episode doesn't have so much learning in it, though. :)
I think my laptop would have been through the window on day 2! Well done for keeping going, the game might have warned you it was the wrong thing considering it was so early on!
Yeah, there is a certain "figure it out on your own" element to this. You can kind of do what you want, go where you will, and the game really offers only a bit of basic guidance in the beginning.
This game seems like a fantastic metaphor for my life! Also, at 15:10, I'm sorry, but I was so hoping you'd pull the windmill down with your winch. :)
Haha! Given how well things went in this episode, I'm surprised that didn't happen. :)
He he. Been on a similar spot with the Spintires and Mudrunner. :D
Ha! Good to hear I have company. :)
Russian mud destroyed armies and Michigan mud creates content. Looking forward to the next episode.
Thanks, Michael! It's definitely an intriguing game to play. I feel like I have much to learn. :)
Just FYI you can use the map to switch back and forth to any vehicle you have discovered or were using. (At least that's how it worked in the previous games.)
You will often have to use other vehicles as either fuel, repair, or rescue vehicles. Getting stuck and having to rescue yourself is part of the fun of the game. :)
Also, yes. You really should look at WHICH trailer or object is being indicated as an objective. roflmao.
Thanks! The Recover function, I think, is different from the previous versions. It allows you to send you vehicle back to the garage without any penalty. So you no longer have to rescue stuck vehicles. Of course, if you've made it past a bunch of obstacles you have to get back to that point, and you have to leave your trailers there, so it's not without issues. But I know some players of the previous version weren't super thrilled that there isn't much risk to getting stuck. Not having played the other games, I've no clue. And yeah, picking up the right trailer is generally advisable. :)
@@ZillaBlitz Previous versions also allowed you to recover your truck to the garage, what I mean is actually driving another truck out to the stuck one and physically using a crane or winch to rescue it.
You can even tow one truck with another using the winch, daisy-chain style. The second truck can be set to 'auto-drive' and will follow along.
As I said, that's kinda part of the fun. Calling the tow truck to help, but then you are also the tow truck.
Ah, okay, I thought rescue was something you had to do in previous versions to get your trucks back, but I must be mistaken. Interesting, I can see all sorts of disasters in our future. :)
Dude, you are the best....Hahahahaaaa
:) I really hope you make episodes too. :) And it's MASSIVE. I ... may have bought the season 3 pass last night, and there are over 20 areas now like the Michigan area we are in.
@@ZillaBlitz I plan too. (BTW, AWD really opens up the game.) The past few weeks at work have been extreamly busy, and I have had the flu for a few days as well,.. No videos in like 14 days =( I'll get back at it this weekend.
@@ArtsnCraftsOrabella I was looking to see if you had put up a video and noticed that it's been a while yes. That sort of thing happens, for sure, and I hope you're feeling better soon. Looking forward to new content. ~ I did stumble onto AWD and it'll show up in the next video. :)
@@ZillaBlitz here is a tip, you may already know, but I find it easy to attach a trailer to my truck by using the wench attached to the back of my rig and the front of the trailer arm.
Wench it up close, then attach!!
Like magic
Oh, that does sound easier, yes, thanks! I have found I'm getting better at it pretty quickly, I think probably from having done a LOT of backing up to trailers in ETS/ATS, but I can see that being immediately handy on any sort of rough terrain. That's one thing that I think I'm going to really enjoy about this game, there are so many ways to solve problems. :)
How much fun was that job...lol I lost sleep last night play'n.
Ha! Yeah, even though it took forever and was ultimately a failure, I think I learned a good bit about the game physics. I'm hoping that'll help going forward. And it's addicting, isn't it! Hope you can recover your sleep tonight. :)
@@ZillaBlitz Hey, this is Hissy. I wasn't on my Hissy Cat account. My real identity has been exposed...lol
Ah! Got it. Your secret identity behind your superhero persona is safe with me!
@@ZillaBlitz just when I thought it was safe to take off the mask!
I now know what you meant about this video not going so smoothly. Every game has its quirks and it’s so easy to pick up the wrong trailer, especially in the dark. If you can pull that loaded trailer through mud with those trucks then you will be fine from here on in. Looking forward to episode 3 (if there is one 😂)
Total failure aside, I did enjoy the trouble-shooting challenge and I think I learned a ton about how the physics and mechanics work. So I think this will help us going forward. And yes, I shot Episode 3 last night, editing today, probably post on ... Saturday, I think. :)
This game looks cool! Not seen it before, I may have to buy. Missions look challenging, how do you reckon Jana K would cope with these jobs? 😅
I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I feel like a guide or walkthrough would be very helpful, but I'm trying to avoid one so far. And yeah, I think Jana K would have taken her beginner truck into some mud and just sat there for a few weeks. :)
@@ZillaBlitz haha, so what's harder, getting that trailer through the mud or backing up a tandem trailer on ETS2/ATS?
Hmmm. Well, I definitely spent more time trying to get that trailer through the mud. I've probably spent 30 minutes trying to back up one of those triple pivot articulated trailers in ETS2/ATS. It does make me wonder if I might detach and push trailers around in ETS2/ATS... *evil laugh*
@@ZillaBlitz Oh my God yes, Zilla, you're a genius! 😉
I mean, what could possibly go wrong? ;)
Hi zilla how are you
Good Ateeq, hope you're doing well!
Yes I'm good thanks another day of school that's gonna be waird or crazy but I don't know
One day at a time, you got this! :)
@@ZillaBlitz thanks I'm back at home now can't wait for the holidays to come
