my 2.4 avant 1998 is nearly 20 years old and looks as new. The interior is so well thought out and spacious, with a very logical dashboard. When it comes to replacing the car I really don''t know what would match it. So many cars have too much gizmo these days...sigh!
@@NiumeLTU not really. The C6 interior is still beautiful and hasn't aged. Both C5 and C7 interior aren't that great. Fro example C6 RS6 with those seats and doors and the dashboard.
I agree....I do not own cars newer that yr 2000. thereafter all built cheap...based on selling to the younger people who base purchase on gadgets...not how a car is built or how it drives.....
I like this shape of A6 more than the new one. The grille on modern Audi models is just ridiculous looking and the interiors, though well finished, are like being in a branch of PC world...just too much tech gimmicks. I like it when it was just user friendly, quality and reliable, like in this model.
im planning to buy a audi a6c5 estate 1,9 tdi and found one from 2003 absolutely mint exterior , interior as new with wood trims , i cant explain how the hell that car 17 years old still looks like that ..........
Viktor Kolev suspension components, electronics and then finally the transmission. Many in the US have been converting the 2002-2003 S6 to 6 speed manual which is more reliable and much more fun.
This is certainly no rust magnet. I have one thats seen over 10 harsh and salty winters and the only rust is a tiny speck on the front fender. Yours was probably crashed and then repaired at some gypsy workshop. The C5 A6 is rust proofed from the factory. Its possible that the poverty spec base model 1.9 wasnt, but i doubt it.
Maybe if you keep It in warm cosy garage. The one i had i could push My finger right through The front fenders everything on The var body rusted Doors fenders bonnet. Undercarriage was ok however.
Nope, not in the last 10 years it hasnt sat in a garage. Was yours a 97 base model or something? Seriously cant wrap my head around this. I see rusted W210, E39 but never a C5.
Audi dipped their cars in zink, which made them much more resistant to rust. I don’t know anything about your Audis history, but it could’ve had aftermarket parts which would rust easier
Still looks pretty fresh ....

Francis Samuelson a new Audi a4/a5/a6 ?😊
IMO the c5 has the best interior. C6 interior doesint look that good.

There is always this one guy to ruin the joke....
How could you know that? Did that guy actually read your comment?
Best Audi review ever.

Dont. Well do , only if you dont ming going sllow. Probably more interesting is the 2.7 180hp tdi . The car weights too much for the 1.9l
@@zefnreaj3548 if i like going fast i woud buy a sedan, not estate.....
Last thing what I care about car is the horsepower, really means nothing to me same is with acceleration times.
I have the nearly same car
everyone that reviews these estate cars forget to mention the seat up to 7 people...
Had a 2002 S6 Avant. Good car but not great...
Why not great?
Viktor Kolev 300kilos too heavy and 60 bhp away from greatness in my opinion. Wasn't reliable either.
what broke on it bro?

The 4.2 and S6 automatics are SHIT, but i like the engine and i'm looking to put one in my A6
This very car is for sale. £1000
7 second 0-60 ? )

Triptragic box😥
4.2?
too much for family audi
Fun for Audi enthusiasts though.
What about 5.2 v10?
I wonder how much Audi paid him to pitch this pice of sh.. iny german rust magnet.
