      Will Beard don't care what Christians say about the Bible also. The scripture states he will be with you *IF* you follow his laws, statues and commandments. So no, he's not for everyone. That's a religious philosophy. Also, God and Christ don't dwell in a religion. The Bible doesn't tell you to be a Christian or any religious group to know him.

    I agree with you about Russ Judah. I think the reason why Steph is criticized this way is due to that unanimous MVP award, that brought the haterade, coupled with breaking the Bulls record then losing after being up 3-1 and having a lukewarm finals after being unanimous MVP. I'm not hating on Steph. He's one of my fave players. He's a stand up man, husband, father, friend and player.

    • @drpestwick1
      @drpestwick1 5 років тому +5

      @ATL 1 He most definitely deserves criticism for that. That's why when a couple seasons ago, I heard these people comparing him to MJ I was like slow your roll now... he's transcendent in how he has influenced and changed the modern game but I must admit I do not care too much for the modern NBA outside of the playoffs. Sometimes the regular season is barely watchable for me depending on who's playing. I have hope for this upcoming season. I do like Kawhi's style of ball though.

      @@RyanMrTsunamiBishop No my friend. Those folks you dismiss as European were fundamentally good players. The league was not watered down as it is today. Those teams battled. They knew tendencies. If you and I played each other 8-10 times per year it would be brutal. That's why Chamberlain's and Russell's battles were so epic.The narrative is not correct. There were some good white players back in the day also. Michael Jordan wondered what it would be like to battle Jerry West. Jerry West, Havlicek, Bob Pettit. Larry Bird was not the first one. Athleticism is the biggest difference I see between then and now. Running, jumping, etcetera. Our black athletic teams got beat by some good fundamentally sound white teams in my youth. Don't be deceived.

    One thing we need to do is be consistent, something the media has never done with Curry as they always go to extremes when judging his play. Secondly talent has never been a major parameter in determining who the best player in the World is, otherwise Jordan would have been clearly better than Magic Johnson from 87-90, but that was not the case. Also, a larger sample size makes the data more reliable, a Finals MVP has never meant that one is the best in the World, it is only 4-7 games compared to a 100-game full season sample.
    With KD the Dubs were 29-24, no Curry. Flip it and it is 36-14, 4 of those losses in the Finals. In fact the last two seasons, Curry missed significant time and the Dubs never won over 60 games. Durant missed time in 2017 and the Warriors won 67 games.
    The greatest judgement of skillset is how it translates in not only making you look good but how it makes your teammates better, Curry wins that also as the impact metrics had shown. The best isolation play for the Warriors was a Steph Curry shot in those years, which was one of the reasons teams chose to gameplan more for him. Steph outranked KD 2 out of 3 times in the MVP voting and the only time he did not, he only played 51 games all season. In the whole playoffs Curry again outplayed him. What the 2019 Finals showed was that as great as Steph is, like any great player he is not great enough to drag an injury riddled team to a victory, no one is. Secondly the series was still close, i.e one shot or run or a Klay could have changed our whole outlook.
    The only argument for KD was his stats, but we all know again that the major improvements in his statistics especially the playoff statistics was again, Stephen Curry.
    What the following years 2020-23 did was be consistent with what was true in those 3 years, not only was Curry the best player for the Warriors, but he was arguably the best player of the last 10 years, the only competition he had was Giannis, Jokic, Kawhi and LeBron.
    Like Kobe and Shaq between 99-04, as talented and skillful individually as Kobe was, his impact on the Lakers was never on the level of a Shaquille O' Neal, therefore he was never a better player than Shaq.

    KD isn't an alpha. Why would he then assume chief responsibility on a Warrior's team contending for a title, when he can take the easy way out and be the beta to Kyrie in Brooklyn? With him, it's never been about credit or the shine of his legacy. For him, it's about comfort, and an easy path to titles. Golden State has become uncomfortable for him, and their road to a title is far more difficult now then when he signed. Why stay there when he can duck and run?

    • @GUURL101
      @GUURL101 5 років тому +1

      That doesnt even make sense. On GS KD can coast and let Klay or Curry go off. But on Brooklyn, KD will have to carry the load

    • @PGO_Gaming
      @PGO_Gaming 5 років тому +1

      @@GUURL101 Normally that would be the case, but no Klay equals more of the load, and he doesn't want that responsibility. And in Brooklyn, they brought in DeAndre, plus Kyrie, and a better supporting cast than in Golden State. Jarrett Allen, Spencer Dinwiddie, a healthy Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, etc... with no pressure to immediately win a title. Same old cowardice from KD. No different than LeBron.

    All dynasties end in defeat. They never end in triumph.
    However, if you want to use the term as a figure of speech to designate some form of how the supposed dynasty is held in a nostalgic sense, then that would be a different matter. Like saying a dynasty ended in disappointment. Looking at the Bulls as an example, with Jordan retiring that set up a situation where expectations where immediately set to a lower level. So that left a point where fans could put a time stamp on when they could say the dynasty was over.
    But if you compare it to the Lakers with Magic Johnson, the Lakers are known for show time, but at the time around Magic left the league the Lakers had fallen in their expectations of what they could do as a team. But because of what they did during their hey day, they kept a group of the same players together that built an eternal fondness with the fan base.
    And the current way players in the NBA have free agent freedom, then I wouldn't view what makes a dynasty today in the exact same way a dynasty was viewed then. And one more point to add about being or making a dynasty, is the the length of time there are bandwagon fans. All championship winning teams get some bandwagon fans the following season. But few are able to do something to keep bandwagon fans for any length of time.

    Regardless of the free-agency period, the record at the all-star break, or whatever, it is my assertion that Steph was going to push for the MVP. It is show and prove for him come October, and he knows it. Barring serious injury, the least the Warriors can do is provide a .500 record before the break. The Western Conference has a couple stacked teams, some solid teams, and some underachievers. That isn't enough to hold the Warriors down for long.

I mean they can be mvp, rookie of the year, nba all star, defensive player, scoring champion and goal medal winner in the Olympics which are great accomplishments but being an nba champion is what few players have chance to be. Which is the ultimate goal for every great players just like the stanley cup, grey cup world series, and superbowl.

    People judge steph to the standard of those who say he is one of the most "impactful" players ever. What is wrong with his critics expecting him to remain that impactful when it matters most. Is that not how we judge greatest?!

    Without Steph they Warriors wouldn't have beaten the Rockets the way they did nor handle the Blazers so easily. Steph does the right thing by not demanding the spotlight, dominance of his own team and personnel. I hate this narrative the most because players like Steph who had their own squad and could've allowed ego to keep them from making the right decision of playing with a KD for more Chips will be looked upon with an unfavorable light. Curry has been a great ambassador for the league, changed the game with the efficiency of his shooting and demonstrates dominance of the league without having to dribble the air out of the ball. Judah keep up the good work as I will continue sharing your videos and hopefully see you as a guest on ESPN or FS1 (you'd be a great host of Speak For Yourself).

I don't think I can fully recover from this injury. I got kicked in the knee doing a lay up. Worst pain I ever had. I do not think Achilles injury is worse than a patella tendon rupture

    Wow! K.P.. Talk about hating. What came out of his mouth was extreme hating, and no one can argue that. COJ called it perfectly, and I'm glad he pointed it out the way he did. Westbrook was the "on court" leader and his performance in that Conference Finals frustrated K.D. so much, it allowed for Draymond to get right up in his ear and lure him away from OKC.
    Lets go back for a second. If K.D. stays with the Thunder, who probably would have not made any "high impact" moves and bring the same "core" back, and guess what??? If they match up with GSW, they win again. Know why??? Yep! Westbrook!
    While his talent is supreme, his head is not and there is no way, short of K.D. somply stealing the ball or getting into a drag down, knockout of a confrontation with Westbrook, that the Thunder defeat Golden State. No Way!
    Everyone knew, or figured out thats the real reason why Durant jetted on Westbrook. Curry and Draymond stepoed to the sideand let Durant be "the man" and to be honest, I thought it was refreshing. I hope Westbrook learned something about "leadership" and increased his desire7? and" overall game IQ. Until that happens, Westbrook will have to settle for being behind Durant.
    So...STOP HATIN' KEN-DICK PERKINS!

    14:33 CoJ, you're on point most of the time, but you consistently miss the point with KD and GSW. GSW can and HAVE won without KD. This year's finals didn't prove that they need KD to win. Before Klay went down in game 6 I have no reason to believe they wouldn't have continued to ride his momentum and complete their comeback to force a game 6. In a game 7, I'm taking GSW over TOR. They can win a chip without KD. They can't win a chip without KD AND Klay. Get it? KD would have NEVER been respected for the rings he attained with Golden State, never.

    I'm not worried klay will be back after the All Star break and look great his game doesn't involve a ton of athleticism the shot wont go away only thing that will concern me is his defense cuz he takes a huge load on defense and playing hard on both ends is tiring takes alot of work to do that and as well as klay does that knee is gonna get worked but offensively he will be back to his self wont miss a beat

    Hey Judah thanks for the content. I’m from Oakland and been a life time warriors fan but I couldn’t disagree with you more about KD going to Brooklyn. He has a chance to win elsewhere and prove to others as well as himself that he can do it. Imagine KD with the high post/wing iso on that team! You cannot double team him like you could on GSW because draymond and iggy couldn’t shoot. If they put Kyrie spencer dwinde and joe Harris on perimeter that’s buckets all day. Kyrie is going to have a great “bounce back” season this yr I would put money on that. Kd also has another shot blocker to go along with himself now in deandre Jordan, who gives him a lob threat À la James harden and Capela. It will be great to watch to say the least

  • @OneLuv777
    @OneLuv777 5 років тому +1

    Kobe wasn't terrible in the 2004 finals after game 1 the man was double teamed and triple teamed the rest of the series while shaq had 1 on 1 match up the whole series against the Wallace boys either Rasheed or Ben 1 on 1cwhich he should have destroyed them but he didn't which is why they lost so bad in that series. As for the Warriors they weren't beat not at full strength they only lost due to injuries. A healthy GSW team sweeps the Raptors or at worst loose one game.
