I love seeing you and your content Ken, my week isn't complete without one of your shave den shaves. Please never quit. You're doing God's work trying to find the pinnacle of shaving. You got me into retros. I brought my first retro at 23 cause of you. I'm 24 now. It was a gold plated 1967 fatboy. Much love Ken, Please never quit. The younger men need you. Much love. Adam.
It's even better when you let it sit for a couple weeks in a glass bottle. The plastic scent goes away and you get more aroma from the product itself. The fine powder is great for hot days for your personal area and underarms it's also good at keeping your "dogs" dry when putting some in your shoes. The scent is a great classic that you barely smell anymore so I like using it and get compliments at the office.

The Gillette Heritage was, I think, only released for sale on Amazon. The King C. Gillette 3-piece razor with the rounded barber pole handle is found on supermarket shelves. Still, the Heritage is a nifty travel razor that comes with its own case, so good tool to go with on the road.
The Pawn Stars razor was the safety razor that I got when I started my wet shaving journey almost 3 years ago! I had already been watching yours and SinatraLennon’s videos, but I finally made the switch months later.
Hi Ken, Just wanted to say I love your videos. I’m 25 and from Ireland and recently purchased a Muhle R89 safety razor with the Ad Astra blades. The information you give not only on products but also about technique on shaving is brilliant. Your videos are also so relaxing to watch on a Sunday. Keep it up!
Hi Ken. In answer to your question I am in the UK and we can't get hold of any Barbus stuff here. Its made in Slovakia and with Brexit, trading links between the Continent of Europe and the UK are pretty screwed! We do however have the Wilkinson sword razor in supermarkets here. Its a bit too mild for me so next time I get to it i'll try a Feather blade. Lovely shave, so envious of the range of shaving stuff you have in the States. Many stateside companies don't sell to the Uk either. The bigger ones still do but postage can be heavy. All the best.
Thank you Ken for yet another great shave! I've enjoyed your live session at the store but much prefer your shave den as a daily companion. As far as Italian supermarkets, I've never seen Barbus products but we are stuffed with some great, inexepensive choices such as Proraso, Nivea, Noxzema, Palmolive, Figaro, ecc.. My go-to for a supermarket shave still is the Palmolive mentol cream and the Denim aftershave. Stay safe
i got a KCG at supermarket in Paris. Also got wilkinson sword but gave to my brother. And got him a KCG as well. I like putting KCG handle with my Henson AL13 mild head.
Good to see you Ken. I am sorry I have not watched in a while. I use the Clubman every day as my aftershave. I learned about it from you a few years ago. I love the way it feels after a good 2 pass shave. I back it up with a little Ralph Lauren (Blue or Red) cologne and get compliments all the time on how nice I smell. My wife especially!! You really helped me get into wet shaving and I thank you for that. God Bless and enjoy the beach bonfire party!
Ken, I bought a case of the Gillette Wilkinson Sword blades from India you use frequently. Surprisingly, they are becoming my go-to blade. For the last five years, I settled on the Personna Lab Blues as my go-to. I would have to say that these GW blades have the right combination of smoothness and sharpness down pat. In my opinion, they beat my Lab Blues so far at less than half the cost. Amazing!
Great shave Ken and great video too. To answer your question, we are not seeing the Gillette Heritage razor but we are seeing a King C. Gillette DE safety razor which looks a lot like an Edwin Jagger DE89. I looked at one yesterday in Walmart. They want $30 dollars for it and it does come with 10 blades. Walmart also carries the King C. Gillette DE blades which they are out of at the moment. I was wanting to try one of those blades in the leaf. So far my favorite aftershave splashes are Aqua Velva ice blue, Old Spice, Clubman, Skin Bracer and Brut and I get all of them at Walmart.
Nice off-the-shelf shave. I was very impressed with the Gillette Pure shave cream when I used it. It just shows that You don't need expensive shave creams. I used Aqua Velva and Skin Bracer 50 years ago and I still do today. There are so many soaps and aftershave splashes that it's hard to pick just one. That's what makes wet shaving so great!
Barbus is a Slovak brand, so yes, it is here - not very common though. I haven’t seen it in supermarkets, even in Slovakia itself. But many, many wetshaving online shops sell it in Europe. Nice shave!
Is Skin Bracer still being produced? I had heard that it was discontinued for some reason. I also assumed that was why PAA made the "Shave Chaser" scent.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I've noticed when it comes to razors and brushes you get what you pay for but when it comes to shaving creams some of the cheapest stuff I bought ended up being some of the best quality
Hi Ken. To answer your inquiry about the GILLETTE HERITAGE RAZOR, yes sir they still make them. It is one of my favorites. I have two of them as you do. One still sealed and the other I use the heck out of! LOL! I do know from research that it is based on the first GILLETTE DE from 1929. Just a little info. Great shave my friend. GOD BLESS!
My brother got a Pawn Star razor as a gift. The Dorco blades weren't very good so I gave him a few packets of blades. He liked Bolanzo the best. Unfortunately the Butterfly mechanism broke after only a few months. (days after the 90 day warranty ended.) Unfortunately also Bolanzo no longer makes it's blades in Germany and the new ones are not very good.
Great shave. I used the Gillette Pure cream once and I didn’t care for it, particularly for its performance that wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. I have yet to own a Clubman AS even though I still see it being stocked in CVS stores I’ve been to. Have a good one!
My "supermarket" go to is an old inherited Gillette Red Tip. The only wet shaving soap I can get at my local market is Cremo. I use blades purchased off of Ebay, usually a Gillette. And for aftershave, My favorite everyday go to is the Lustray Blue Spice After Shave. Reminds me of the barbershop when I was a small boy. The barber would shave me on the back of the neck and around the ears with a strait razor, then give me a good splash of Lustray Blue Spice After Shave. Brings back fond memories from my child hood. Have you ever demonstrated Lustray Blue Spice After Shave ?
Hi Ken. Nice shave! Never used Barbus or Myrsol. Is the Myrsol in glass? I would have to say Pinaud Clubman is my favorite drugstore aftershave. Prett close to that is Pinaud Clubman Musk.
Great shave ken. Now I’ve got a favor to ask of you and to all of your subscribers if you don’t mind. My wife is in need off all the prayers that we can send up for her. She is the love of my life my best friend. She’s going in for open heart surgery Monday and we would really appreciate all the prayers we can get. Thanks to all. And keep the good content flowing.
I have a question for you. I know that the shaving brush can be made of natural or synthetic hair. Does that mean it has plastic bristles? Because I have one too and I think it's all synthetic. It makes a richer lather than the one with natural hair. Am I to understand that the synthetic ones are better?
I always knew, that supermarkets in America are very cool, if there, you can buy Clubman and even Myrsol. Thanks a lot, Ken! Best regards from Ukraine!
You do realize that if your aftershave burns as badly as you make it appear, you are way over-exfoliating and using too much pressure with your safety razor. It really shouldn't burn a lot, it should tingle.
Nice one Ken🪒🪒 Very few choices here in my town for wet shave products, Walgreen's, Walmart and a couple grocery stores carry a limited selection of "standard" stuff. You're lucky to have a shave shop close by. Thanks for the video.. Enjoy!

Been picking up some nice soap and aftershave lotion from Pheonix that I've dug the results with, but kind of lost as to what the best option for razor for wet shaving my head would be.
Always some good choices on the Supermarket shelves, Ken. As one that works there, it's got a few good choices. I've used the Cremo in the tube before(good cream that works with the hands, but you might be able to get a lather with a brush), Skin Bracer is good, also the Aqua Velva Ice Blue After Shave. Razors from the Supermarket that I've seen were the Van Der Hagen razor and the King C Gillette(blue box), not the Gillette Heritage used here(don't see that on the shelves). Never tried the Bevel razor, but it's there, too.
When I first got Clubman, I knew the scent reminded me of something. Then I realized that it's very similar to Skin Bracer's Wild Moss that I had back in the late 80's.
