@@AllenPortman thank you sir for your service! I called 911 once. Just got home from work in the middle of winter. Sat down and blood started gushing from my nose. I panicked. The fellas from the fire station a few blocks away were here in a couple of minutes. They were the sweetest. Even showed concern for my ruined new white cotton blouse. Lol. They stayed with me until my husband got home. Firemen said it was just a bloody nose probably due to dry air, but suggested I go to the ER because I felt so odd. They said it was likely anxiety. ER doctor diagnosed me with an anxiety disorder. The fellas from the fire department were outstanding! So again, on behalf of everyone you helped during your career, thank you so much! 😊 Even those of us who only THINK we are dying really appreciate you. ♥️

The worst thing people can do. Is standing around and watching a house fire. I was a volunteer firefighter for five years. People don't understand what is in the houses. I wave worded 4 houses that had firearms and ammunition inside. When the ammunition gets hot. They go off. If the ammunition isn't in a gun. There's no telling where the bullets will go.

There were some old houses in a neighborhood I would go through from time to time. They were probably 1930s-ish. One was a beautiful Victorian. They were being renovated to their former glory. The Victorian was about half done and already had a buyer. We had an exceptionally cold winter that year. The homeless took refuge in the houses. They didn't care and started a fire to keep warm. It couldn't be saved 😢. The renovation on the other houses ceased and were eventually torn down and bought by a frozen food company. Some say it was the frozen food company

We have a saying in the fire service, which is "slow is smooth and smooth is fast". Rushing around on the scene of a working fire is not shown to be productive. Being methodical and deliberate avoids mistakes, injuries, and the need to re-do things, which all waste time in the end.

So what’s changed? Could it be our forced policies on diversity and multiculturalism?
Do we see this happening in majority white conservative towns and cities?
Many of our politicians continue to promote the blending of cultures instead of demanding to preserve the American culture!
If this is not a problem in our country then why is this happening to cities with a large minority presence? I’m not spewing racist rhetoric even though race has plenty to do with it.

While to you, watching a home burn when you don't live there is not going to both you more than watching a trash fire, but for those who have it could bring g back bad memories. It might more cost effective for the owner to hire armed guards than constantly replacing some that was just finished. Materials are not cheap. But they’re stubborn old coots that refuse to pay the labor when they think they can do it themselves. Sure, it isn’t cheap. But how much do all those materials cost. On the alternative, he could hire contractors to do the work and get it done in a hurry. Find the straightest line from here to having it finished. I have known people like this. My first father -in-law was a miser, left over from the Great Depression and refused to use banks.
My husband said he would climb the fence to keep from wearing out the gate.
They often have tunnel vision and can’t think of another way to get it done that they don’t have 100% of the control, 100% of the time. The homeless sure are making that hard for him.
