Just a quick note. I know a lot of the gameplay in this video will contradict some of my points that I have made. This gameplay was made on a high level character. Also keep in mind that all of these summons are fighting different enemies with different strengths and weaknesses. Don't take the gameplay too much to heart. Thanks for reading this and I Hope you enjoy the video. :)
yeah i only used thrawls to pover level my conjuration to 100, if i were to design the flaming wolf i would of made him explode on death like the flame atronach, added a wall of flames effect and gave him a 50% chance to stagger.
Flaming familiar has one advantage over normal conjure familiar spell, you can openly kill NPCs and *not* get a bounty on you, so you can kill Nazeem worry free.
Hey I’ve got some really great news to share with you, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on a cross and resurrected on the third day so you may all have eternal life. If you believe and repent of your sins and put your faith and trust in Him as you would a parachute jumping off a plane at 25000 feet up in the air, He will give you eternal life in heaven as a free gift and I promise you, He will change your life forever as He did mine. He is the ONLY way to heaven and He loves you all. Please think deeply about this with urgency because this is your eternal life and soul, you don’t know when you could die, meaning you could die at any moment, so please consider this with all your heart. If anyone tells you that Jesus isn’t the only way, they are lying to you and they don’t care about your future.
I used Dead Thrall on the Emperor on the final Dark Brotherhood quest. I tried convincing everyone that the emperor was right here, but they couldn't hear me through the TV
@@brianensign7638 Was just about to say that. It's my go-to way for speed leveling Conjunction. Plus, it's a novice spell so the MP cost is very accommodating.
I never understood speed leveling. Leveling is the whole point of the game. If you don't want to play the game play a different game. I only speed level a skill if I really need a spell that requires higher skill to buy from a vendor.

Arvak has a huge advantage. You can summon him anywhere and use him to fast travel when you exceed your weight limit. Vampire lord also increases weight limit, but you can't fast travel in vampire form.
Also used as a parachute so you survive a mountain fall without damage. Simply cast again after standing up. But make certain you aren't sliding when he disappears or the tumbling triggers a respawn.
@@Vance731 yeah i face tank them like a giga chad and after all said and done i just cast heal or grand heal and walla im fine again. Same on Legendary mode btw.

Somewhat related, Flaming Familiar has another advantage of having a greater summon distance compared to other spells. This bonus stacks with the Summoner perk, letting you summon the Flaming Familiar at distances normally only attainable through Staff summons.
Soul trap is the most important spell in conjuration, you can cast it on any dead body and still get skill points and fully max out the conjuration skill tree in literally 5 minutes. Of course it’s not terribly useful after that
It's not the most important spell. Did the thought ever cross your mind that (many) other players actually play the game as intended instead of using every single powerleveling exploit the game offers?
What makes dead thrall my favorite conjuration spell is that when the thrall is down you can store an infinite amount of items on their dead body. When you resurrect them they effectively become a pack mule with infinite carry weight.
Just a quick note, I didn't know this until recently, but flame thrall and frost thrall are higher level and have different moves than the regular spell. This also stacks with the perk that boosts atronachs. The storm one is glitched and although the stats for the thrall version exist in the game files they aren't used. You can test this by using expell daedra and dual casting it. The different thralls will more resistant to the spell. Also the flame thrall explodes on death and seems to spend less magic on fireballs.
The moment I realized Familiar was an absolutely terrible spell was when I started a new Breton playthrough and saw it run away as soon as getting hit TWICE. I don't use the spell often so I never knew it would actually do something like that. I've seen my Flame Atronach stand around like an idiot. But running away like a bitch when you get touched once gets you sent to the shadow realm tier. Even regular wolves don't do that.
I watched the whole video & agreed with pretty much all of it so you definitely earned a sub from me. I love to see people still making content on Skyrim, I have thousands & thousands of hours in that game but I never get bored of vids like these just discussing the different aspects of the game. Keep up the good work!
Recently created a Spellsword who specializes in Two-Handed weapons. Bound Battleaxe is perfect for soul trapping when you don't want to carry too many weapons. Just my viewpoint
If you want to level it up quickly, just head north towards septimus and deal with the bear problem….I know of a lumberjack in Ivarstead that would pay well. lol
I probably like arvak and dremora best. I hate horses but arvak always comes in clutch when I need to climb a mountain wall or fast travel over encumbered. Dremora is probably the best summon for any situation. I also really appreciate bound bow because its infinite arrows allow for much easier level grind to 💯
The longer this video goes on, the more worried I’m getting about my conjuration choices…if bone colossus isn’t here, idk what I’m even doing with my life
Don’t worry about it that much. This video is my opinion only and it’s not supreme law of the world or anything like that. That’s why you see so many comments with other people’s opinions!
I may play the game without summons or followers, they make it too easy. At elite they can solo all the content for you, even though if any enemy that hits you will one shot you.
Puese a pelear a los señores dremora de el bastón y los convocados por el jugador y los del bastón ganaron 3 rondas de 4, pero se llevaron una paliza en todo momento, sinceramente prefiero los convocados.
The upside of infinite duration is actually huge if you aren't investing anything into conjuration spell cost reduction or are only using enchanted items to reduce spell cost if you're a designated mage, because you don't have to start each combat by draining your magicka completely to summon something. Very useful if you rely on flesh spells for defense. Granted by the time you get thrall spells, you should still use dead thrall because you can put OP equipment on the body and they'll equip it when they enter the next cell
Thrall spells work best to summon them after a fight or generally when you aren't in combat so you have them ready to go when a fight does break out, saving you the effort of summoning then swapping to a fireball or something. As for frost mobs dealing more damage than they seem like they should, I can't confirm cause the numbers certainly don't support it, looking at UESP frost effects have the same power as their respective fire or shock variants, but it does feel like frost in general deals more damage and is only offset by being a nord or stacking resist enchantments/potions. It doesn't help that frost spells, especially the higher level ones have a slowdown effect that's rough.
Very informative. 😊 soul trap can be used on dead bodies to level up and it’s quite useful in that endeavour. A benefit to Arak that was overseen is that when he gets killed, or you fall from a great height, you aren’t needing to pay money to buy a new horse.
i mainly play with lightning when playing a mage so i love the flame atronach most since it can deal with vampires and undead really fast with the right perks. i also feel soul trap should be higher since you can powerlevel with it really easily
Thanks! One bonus to the bound weapons is they use soul trap. It's a great advantage early-game to level up enchanting. I wonder where the Ritual Stone combined with the Aetherium Crown fit into the list? Very OP for a Necromage type.
@@TypicalPirate55 Agreed! If the video was about the best spell to level up conjuration, I would have put soul trap first. Get the spell from Ferengar early, kill Anise, drag her to her bed, and constantly spam soul trap on her corpse. The extra 20% from the mage stone won't hurt. Rest in the bed for an extra 5% for levelling, too. :)
Soul trap has an advantages! 1st, doesnt take a perk point and 2nd you can control which targets to trap so you dont end up with grand soul gems filled with petty souls because wolves attacked or smt.
Hi. I watched your video and honestly, you nearly got it spot on (of course depending on preferences). However, you have missed one new added spell added by the creation club. Summon undying ghost spell is a tank conjuration spell which in my personal opinion is actually more than a tank; it rivals if not all options (the only downside it consumes all magica).
Yeah, it's good to use him for the DB quests once you get him as he'll often give tips on things; sort of reminding you of what you could do in Oblivion for the contracts.
Forgot to mention that dead thrall is also a traveling chest. Just kill your thrall if you need to access what you have stored then reanimate once you’re done. I had pretty much everything I owned inside Cicero
Thralls are great for anyone with lower base magic because you can make as prep for combat more easily. During travel having one already made and all your magic for random encounters can be huge
My conjuration build is something more akin to a battle mage than a summoner. After I summon my two demora, I go in with my dual bound blades (I'm a one-handed build), and not much can contend with the strategy. Got my hands on the nightingale armor and went light so I can take some hits. If my dremora get low, I just resummon them behind the enemy to get some free hits in and restore their HP. Works like a charm. The build is even better when I have a follower because nothing stands a chance against the power of Jumpjutsu. And if things get dicey, I'll just take pot shots with my bound bow for a distance.
I agree with you on the flame atronach. It can useful in almost any situation. I even use them against frost dragons. The only time I wouldn't use them, would be VS frost mages or casting draugar. In such cases I would use the frost atronach, or something else.
1:38 soul trap let you choose which enemy to be soul trapped so you don't waste big soul gems. But actually, gold are useless so I just buy soul gems from traders anyway.
I definitely like the Dremora Lords. They are bad-ass. Plus they talk trash. I use Expel and Banish as a way to level up Conjuration. Summon a Flame Atronach, then send it back. Levels up pretty quick.
Dead thralls only equip the armour geared on them, but you can take that off, level it up and put it back on their body and raise. They will equip it when you move to the next cell Weapons go nuts but they will tend to use their class weapons(ie ranger vs 2h). A fun option is a s&s bandit chief with dual life and stamina leech. It’s a blender and if it dies, dead thrall again
Yeah, with Necromage you can use Dead Thrall on the enemy labeled 'Volkihar Vampire' and have the tankiest thrall around. The Dunmer has an added bonus, beyond the usual fire resistance which offsets the vampiric weakness, of keeping her voice lines. So no stupid groaning like you'd get with Nords and others.
Dead thrall is amazing, and makes it so easy to abuse the game. If you dead thrall something that can summon then you have two helpers for the price of one. If they can't just give them a summoning staff
I never run Conjuration, and when I found a staff of Summon Storm Atronach on a rooftop in the Soul Cairn I used it a lot, and I can say it matters a great deal where you spawn stormy as to how well he can do!
Fiight Begins: 1- Summon Dremora Lord for melee carnage 2- Summon Storm Atronach for long range support 3- Bound sword OR bow based on current location or situational needs 4- Kill everything in sight
I know this has nothing to do with this, but downloading necromancy mods and just becoming an immortal lich who has an army of undead at his command is amazing. I like to have one of each creepy monster at my lair, dead of course, which I summon to me at my beckoning call. I also equip dead necromancers with staves that allow them to continue to raising the dead even after theyve given me their lives. Almost like a plague of death.
This video made want to build a warrior-mage build but with conjuration focus, right now I'm playing my first build with pure Archery skills but is getting kind of tiresome. This way of playing seems pretty fun! also subbed. Great videos!
There was no other end 😆 Dremora Lord is my favourite. Also Bound sword can be replaced quite early for an ebony sword, however bound bow only becomes replacable when you can improve other bows past flawless,
If u get the right gear u can summon the colossus and 3 skeletons. Altho the drop chance is low. All u gota kill is the end boss of any warlock encampment. U can even summon the colossus and 2 eyleid liches if im correct have to retry as my high lvl got glitched so had to delete😢
Bone colossus gets rid of active summons unfortunately. he does pair with the grimoire Ancient death priest if your going full necromancer no other fighting lol In a big battle summon two death priests then summon the Bone Colossus. the Colossus kills the death priest which triggers their special effect summoning 6 tortured souls that dont count on your summon limit. then with twin souls the colossus and empowered necromancy you can summon 4 more skeletons. I personally do a skeleton champion and wrath man then a skeleton warlock and marksman. lol for a bit you'll have 11 undead skeletons attacking things. the 6 tortured souls dont last long but that whole set up is mostly for fun. More realistically you just summon three regular skeletons normally and for bosses do the colossus 4 skeleton squad. it's more entertaining to not just do all the same skeletons plus they all are actually good even later. Marksman besides being an archer does debuff enemies making the rest kill them easier.
Absolutely love this class An offencive class that remains strong even on legendary difficulty, and have a bunch of cool spells Destruction is totaly God, but on legendary the most part of spells get quite weak
Arvak is more reliable than a regular horse however, considering that if ye dies you can just spawn him again, you can also use arvak to clip into areas in the game that would usually be inaccessible until you complete the dungeon, such as tower mzark and the tower near mzinchaleft, he is also the only horse that can be used in the soul cairn or blackreach
btw the best way to powerlevel conjuration is by spamming soul trap on a dead body until u run out of magicka then waiting1 hour then rinse and repeat this is one of the best ways to level any skill.
i agree with your last 3, yuor points are pretty food, but the boneman genuine can make a useful distraction, its farley cheap for a mid-game spell, please note im a stealthy archery person, id put all 2-handed conjurables in the order: from slowest to fastest, the ice thrall is a little higher up, but arvak is like from #5 - 3, mistman takes bonemans space and my list continues the same as your's untill bound dagger, bound dagger is 3 or 4 places higher, sword is one higher then it and bow is #2, i agree with the conjurable exclusive monsters. i agree with wrathman and storm atronach dead thall is #1 and arneil's shade is lower down a bit because of the aqquisation. the rest i mostly agree on,
Flaming Familiar might be a gimmick but its a good one. Its fireball damage which is decent for much of the game. And most importantly its seeking. You can be in full cover and toss it out on repeat. As a bonus on legendary difficulty since its a summon doing the damage the damage of the fireball is not cut in 1/4.
> As a bonus on legendary difficulty since its a summon doing the damage the damage of the fireball is not cut in 1/4. Source of damage doesn't matter, it's "every damage to not you divided by 4" and "every damage to you multiplied by 3". That's what make conjuration so useful on legendary - your summons are "not you" and therefore as tanky as enemies. But yeah, flaming familiar is so fun for stealth builds, being cheaper than fireball and homing. And also with proper perks in conjuration you can cast it from miles away, which adds to its utility. I would definitely put it higher on tier list, but I acknowledge that for non-stealthy characters it is, well, garbage.
Flaming familiar has one advantage over normal conjure familiar spell, you can openly kill NPCs and *not* get a bounty on you, so you can kill Nazeem worry free.
As for Soul Trap and Arvak - this is just my RP issue here, but I find these extremely important for me. First Soul Trap - I'm being very picky about which creature to soultrap (especially when it comes to Black Soul Gems - knowing that victim trapped in Black Soul Gem is sentenced to Soul Cairn - I usually reserve this on especially despicable people, mostly Thalmor. Hell, I'm a strong Stormcloak sympathizer, but even I cannot bring myself to soul trap common Legionaries. Kill them on sight, sure. But screwing up their afterlife, that is something completely different.), most usually casting it on undead, daedra, frostbite spiders, Falmer and bounty-bound Giants in Eastmarch. Second, Arvak. I know it’s just a summonable horse, but it has (for me) several advantages over "living" horse. Arvak can't die, and I do not like when my horse die because of bug (it's not about the money, I get personal attachment to the creature). And second, it's nice to know you can comfort poor hose trapped in Black Soul Gem and sent to soul Cairn by allowing it to once again gallop in less depressing environment.
First off arvak can be summoned in solstheim and it's one of two horses that can be written in solstheim and in blackreach maybe Tessa is the game considered black region outside area and no horse that responds with you while fast traveling can travel with you to souls time
bound weapons are and by assosiation bound quiver become top tier in survival mode because of the starting carry wiegt being lower and the amount gained per level up being lower. also arrows have wieght in survival making it be your best option if you want to play an archer in survival
I think Ayelid lich is probably the best conjuration, powerful mage who can even summon it's own storm atronach. So you can have a summon, that summons atronachs lol
Personally I'd put the Thrall Spells higher on the list they're prep spells the point of them is to cast them before going into battle and let your mp bar recover so youre going into battle with a full mp bar and summoned minions.
Thanks for the feedback! Undying ghost is apart of the conjuration pack in the creation club. For this video, I made this list based on the spells in the base game and DLCs only and not the creation club. Undying ghost is definitely one of my favorite spells though!
Arvak, Boneman, Mistman, and Wrathman have always been my favorite purely because they look amazing and lore wise The Last Dragonborn is the only one (aside from durnhiviir) that can cast them. It makes you super unique in comparison and they simply look like what a TRUE necromancer could accomplish. Summoning the dead from the realm of the dead. Like Ainz and his Death Knights.
I used bound sword because it didnt seem to be affected by disarm shouts, it would do good damage, soul trap and also have the effect of banishing/turning enemy summons. Really Op. And once you get the banish enchant from a normal weapon you can basically have infinite gold selling iron daggers for 1k gold.
Yeah, it's a good idea to get Bound Sword early, prior to level 30, because until then you are subject to Disarm shouts. Apparently enemies have a level scouter equipped and simply stop trying when you hit the magic level.
Technically you can't get creatures with Dead Thrall, unless you mod it in. Dead Thrall only works on playable races. This means you can't use it to grab enemies like Draugr Deathlords. For those you'd have to use the regular Raise spells. They'll also only use the armor they spawned with, though you can smith and enchant that armor then give it back. Note that they only benefit from enchantments that work on followers, such as giving them extra health or magicka.
I think conjure flaming familiar should be higher. It's a tiny amount of magicka to cast adept-level damage, which is fantastic if you're not high level or not playing on legendary. It allows you to conjure a bunch even if you're not a Magicka based character. In addition the spell has a super high range so you can do all kinds of shenanigans where you cast the spell behind the enemy from far away, or if they are located on a 2nd/3rd floor castle wall you can still reach them. Also I'm not gonna look up the numbers but the elemental "thrall" atronachs are significantly more powerful/durable than the basic atronachs, so I think that should have been ranked higher. I've done mage playthroughs with a couple storm thralls following me around + storm call shout and you become an absolute one man army. Agree Dead Thrall is the best... I believe I looked it up before and I think one of the strongest NPCs to use it on is that one Orc leader from the Volendrung quest, he's a beast.
Daedra lords are sick and look cool, but often I find them running away from the foes immediately after spawned. Takes a good few seconds before they realize and turn back to fight.
nice ranking, i prefer dremora lord front of dead thrall but i never thinked it was possible to put armur & wepon in the dead body :O i have to try this
Ive gotta give #1 to Dremora Lords. They deal such high damage and are pretty amusing to hear. Dead thrall is a bit disappointing because there is a level cap and arent able to get more powerful than a high level bandit usually... almost never more than a Dremora
Flaming familiar was really useful for me when I was just starting to level up my conjuration. Low cost, spammable = easy conjuration exp. Really really good at drawing aggro during fights as well. Can definitely handle strong bosses if used correctly. It's ai usually gets confused when there are a lot of enemies tho. Imo, would place it at top 5 based on how useful it is in level up conjuration without exploit.
Good point. The low cost makes this spell pretty useful. I just feel that this spell doesn’t hit hard enough for in higher levels to make it viable. But it is great for the early game.
Flaming familiar has one advantage over normal conjure familiar spell, you can openly kill NPCs and *not* get a bounty on you, so you can kill Nazeem worry free.
I just wanna point out that on master and legendary, the summons are significantly better. They dont take the dmg hit or increase in dmg taken that the player gets. They actually benefit from the dmg reduction that enimies do on higher difficulties, so the wolf summon is actually quite good...on higher difficulties
Believe it or not soultrap is the best metod of training conjuration to lvl100 due to its negligible magika spenditure and that you only need a target for it to get the exp no matter the state of the target
I watched this video to see the kinds of summons skyrim has since i have 2 conjuration characters. Normally I go straight for dremora lord and sword bound. But maybe ill test out the reanimation spells.
Okay 2 technical mistake. 1. thrall spells are actually summoning higher level atronachs. So it is not the same as the normal spell. Your flame thrall is way more powerful, than your flame atronach. 2. Arvak DOES have benefit over normal horses. Specifically the simple fact, that it CANNOT truly die. Plus it can be summoned anywhere. Even locations where normal horses cannot go like the forgotten vale, or Soul Cairn. On vanilla your normal horse will attack everything, and might aggro something, and die. Arvak too, but if it dies, then you can just re-summon it. Otherwise the list is fairly accurate. Though any creature being slow, or large is irrelevant except for thrall spells. As you can simply conjure them into the face of your enemy.
Except Storm Thrall... That one is bugged and only summons the standard version. The Fire and Frost Thralls are the stronger versions though. So feel free to summon a pair of Flame Thralls when you're ready to fight the undead.
Why I place Soul Trap higher and never take Soul Stealer. If I am primarily using bound weapons and kill a low level enemy, I might have my grand soul gem filled with a petty soul because I had to steal the soul. Soul Trap allows me to make sure the right soul goes into the right soul gem
I feel bound battleaxe is only really good if you're not playing a conjurer/ mage or are building off of a high level warrior build to begin with which makes it kind of redundant when you find better weapons when you get items that can output better damage than a daedric battleaxe. In concept it's a fine spell but as mentioned the lack of an offhand spell is infinitely more detrimental as a downside to a higher dps weapon than a bound sword.
2 handed weapons are just bad in general imo. There is really not a good reason to use them besides to stagger enemy early on which you can do with a shield. Late game its damage output is way lower than one handed simply because you can dual wield one handed and can add 2 extra enchantments on the other weapon. 2 handed weapons are also very slow and doesn't block very well so i don't see any reason to use them in this game. Dual wield axe, mace or swords(sword is my favorite cause dragonbone sword looks awesome and the crit is probably the most useful out of the 2) and you have the highest dps in the game and its probaby not even close not counting exploits and bugs ofc
I like using them as a disraction while i can focus on the damage and since im trying really play the whole game instead of making a new save everytime this time and actually try different playstyles and mods im trying to keep minimal so i can experience the game as pure and fun i can get.
Can't agree about Familiar. For a breton straight out of helgen it works a treat. Tanks enemies plenty at lvls 1-3. Easy to recast for breton. At legendary it deals 4x the damage of the PC Ash spawn is a great tank. Much better than storm. You forget to look at their tactics. Storm tends to retreat immediately and shoot from a distance leaving u vulnerable. Ash spawn never retreats. The only downside is u have to be conjuration 40 to get it by which time I'm nearly finished the main quests. That's a key factor you don't mention, what lvl you need to be to get a summons. Late level summons like dremora lord are useless because by the time you get them you're already unbeatable. That's why Ash guardian is way underrated by you. He can be obtained at Tel Mithryn easily by lvl 5, when your conjuration may be only 20+. Also heartstones don't matter. By simple clever tactics you can get him tanking the enemy without a heartstone.
It depends on how you play the game. I just do the quest in order of distance cause i play survival mode. There is absolutely no way im going to run to the greybeards spot everytime i finished a quest, takes forever to go up the mountain . Alduin is not even hard. All you need is a good potion of every time and dual wield one handed with enchanted one handed gear and he dies in under 10 seconds. The hardest fight main quest wise is probably Miraak but tbh, its still an easy fight since with late game gear nothing survives.
I think the horse might rank higher if the list was taking survival mode into account. Also wondering if the flaming familiars benefit from Augmented Flames. Also, still find it funny that the Familiar can give you Rockjoint if you aggro it. Never seen it land a disease on enemies though.
I think you really underrated soul trap. While it is nice to have it as an enchantment that requires you to carry around an additional soul trap weapon and to use a weaker weapon than your primary damage weapon which you probably have enchanted with fire or something. Also bound weapons suck (except for bow) cuz they don't benefit from crafting perks, they cost mana which you need for casting actually useful spells on your mage build meaning you can't even use them as a backup for when you run out, and they're on a timer. Maybe I'm being a bit too harsh to bound weapons cuz they are strong for early game but the soul trap perk for bound weapons is a waste of a skill point in my opinion. Also assuming you're playing a mage and not a melee build that specs into conjuration I think frost atronach should rate higher than fire because it's the first tank summon you get and the frost resistance is really good given that a substantial portion of mage enemies are necromancers using frost magic. If ur playing melee fire is probably better. Great video tho I pretty much agree with most of ur placements
yeah its actually my most used spell by a long shot from the conjuration tree. Flame atronach is nice(Im a melee build guy), i don't need anybody to tank for me cause im the fucking tank itself with capped out armor ratings and potions with 90% resist of every magic type. I still use Dremora lord cause his lines are fucking hilarious and he does do pretty decent dmg. I used it to charge my weapons( in the early game where you can still run out of charge) and its a pretty cheap spell. Late game i mostly use it to make bank. Enchanting gold diamond necklace makes quite a bit of money and gems are free(the black star). Bound weapons are useless in the late game compare to your normal weapons and a waste of perks indeed
:)
Do a part 2 with cc spells
yeah i only used thrawls to pover level my conjuration to 100, if i were to design the flaming wolf i would of made him explode on death like the flame atronach, added a wall of flames effect and gave him a 50% chance to stagger.

If you are ranking spells based on utility then soul trap should be high due to being spammable on a corpse to speed level conjuration
You can do something similar with bound weapons by summoning and sheathing them repeatedly in combat, while your conjured allies do all the work.

@@Muckito it's still a lot of fun to have max lvl conjuration spells at the beginning of the game.
Unless you're playing with the Unofficial Patch, in which case that exploit is fixed and you can't use it :(
What makes dead thrall my favorite conjuration spell is that when the thrall is down you can store an infinite amount of items on their dead body.
Also the flame thrall explodes on death and seems to spend less magic on fireballs.
fire atronach also explodes on death, no?
Appreciate the awesome feedback. Thanks!👍
Recently began my first playthrough as a Breton Conjuerer. and this is EXTREMELY helpful. So thanks!
Really happy to help! Thanks for watching!
Recently created a Spellsword who specializes in Two-Handed weapons. Bound Battleaxe is perfect for soul trapping when you don't want to carry too many weapons. Just my viewpoint
That build looks like it could be a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
I would imagine it swings fast since it's weightless.
If you want to level it up quickly, just head north towards septimus and deal with the bear problem….I know of a lumberjack in Ivarstead that would pay well. lol
5:15 "theres nothing arvak can do that others can't." Blackreach The Forgotten Vale The Soul Carin and any large interior.
Summon to fast travel deeper exceeding carry limit, use as parachute off mountains...
That’s why you see so many comments with other people’s opinions!
also, he isn't ranking creation club mods, and this is one of them, now I know I'm five months late, but bone colossus is a GREAT spell
Out of all my years playing Skyrim trying every build possible conjuration is for sure the most fun for me sneaky bow is 2nd
I know it isn’t a ‘spell’ per se, but the staff Sanguine Rose can summon even more powerful versions of the dremora lord.
one of my favorite deadric Artifacts in the game!
@@גוגויחזור Si, los convocados son mas convenientes, pero menos poderosos que los del baston.
how? my staff only summons Dremora
I don't often play conjuration builds, but I recently started one and I hadn't really considered trying summon bow. I think I'll give it a go tonight!
Let me know how that works out for you!
Maybe it has to do with tick rate? Maybe the values are the same but frost has a ever-so-slightly higher damage tick frequency?
Thanks so much for making these lists! I'm gonna roleplay a pure mage for the first time and wouldn't even know where to start without these!
Glad to hear that these help! Thanks for watching
That’s why I ranked all of the bound weapons over the soul trap spell.
ive never even thought of dead thrall like that, very nice vid
Luggage
Soul trap has an advantages! 1st, doesnt take a perk point and 2nd you can control which targets to trap so you dont end up with grand soul gems filled with petty souls because wolves attacked or smt.
If you get a petty soul trapped in a grand soul gem, just drop the fouled soul gem from your inventory. When you pick it back up it will be empty.
Great video. Concise and helpful
I watched and enjoyed your video, it made me remember that are at least one maybe two summon spells in the Assassin guild quests.
Thanks for watching!
Was sad not to see Lucien Lachance on this list. Often do the dark brotherhood questline just for his summon 😂 good list tho 💯
Yeah, it's good to use him for the DB quests once you get him as he'll often give tips on things; sort of reminding you of what you could do in Oblivion for the contracts.
You're awesome bro! Just the video I was looking for!
My DEVIL FORGEMASTER Hector needs them all!!
Well thought and edited list! Thanks for making this
Thanks for the feedback
1:38 soul trap let you choose which enemy to be soul trapped so you don't waste big soul gems. But actually, gold are useless so I just buy soul gems from traders anyway.
I definitely like the Dremora Lords. They are bad-ass. Plus they talk trash. I use Expel and Banish as a way to level up Conjuration. Summon a Flame Atronach, then send it back. Levels up pretty quick.
I had no idea that Expel and Banish give you experience points when you use it on your own Summons. Very cool.
@@TypicalPirate55 Expel is Expert level and levels up fast.
Dead thralls only equip the armour geared on them, but you can take that off, level it up and put it back on their body and raise. They will equip it when you move to the next cell
Weapons go nuts but they will tend to use their class weapons(ie ranger vs 2h).
I agree. That spell is really good!
I never run Conjuration, and when I found a staff of Summon Storm Atronach on a rooftop in the Soul Cairn I used it a lot, and I can say it matters a great deal where you spawn stormy as to how well he can do!
"for example, if an apprentice level spell remains useful, it will be ranked higher"
*everyone looks at flame atronach*
Fiight Begins:
1- Summon Dremora Lord for melee carnage
2- Summon Storm Atronach for long range support
3- Bound sword OR bow based on current location or situational needs
4- Kill everything in sight
Thanks bro! Hope that works out.
About Arvak, the thing is, two regular horses can get eaten by the same dragon in a day, however if Arvak dies you can just re summon him.
There was no other end 😆
Dremora Lord is my favourite.
Also Bound sword can be replaced quite early for an ebony sword, however bound bow only becomes replacable when you can improve other bows past flawless,
I'm truly enjoying the Bone Colossus spell. You can have him and 2x skeletons fighting. 💀
Very true! I like the Ayelid Lich, too. They summon storm atronachs and can raise the dead.
I’ve been using conjure undying ghost since beginning of the game. Very powerful especially if you got some increase magika gear
100% agree
Absolutely love this class
An offencive class that remains strong even on legendary difficulty, and have a bunch of cool spells
Destruction is totaly God, but on legendary the most part of spells get quite weak
I stopped using the storm one because the chain lightening kept hitting me as a melee character
Thank you. This was informative
Also with bound sword at level 40 confirmation you can get soul trap on it which is really good for soul gems
I love the Dremora lords such cool angry dudes
First off arvak can be summoned in solstheim and it's one of two horses that can be written in solstheim and in blackreach maybe Tessa is the game considered black region outside area and no horse that responds with you while fast traveling can travel with you to souls time
I was really hoping there would be a Dreamora Thrall spell that could summon a Dreamora permanently, I guess not
bound weapons are and by assosiation bound quiver become top tier in survival mode because of the starting carry wiegt being lower and the amount gained per level up being lower. also arrows have wieght in survival making it be your best option if you want to play an archer in survival
I think Ayelid lich is probably the best conjuration, powerful mage who can even summon it's own storm atronach. So you can have a summon, that summons atronachs lol
Flaming familiar is good for killing people without them aggroing you.
Personally I'd put the Thrall Spells higher on the list they're prep spells the point of them is to cast them before going into battle and let your mp bar recover so youre going into battle with a full mp bar and summoned minions.
Great list. I'm surprised Undying Ghost wasn't on there, unless I missed it?
Thanks for the feedback! Undying ghost is apart of the conjuration pack in the creation club. For this video, I made this list based on the spells in the base game and DLCs only and not the creation club. Undying ghost is definitely one of my favorite spells though!
Yea i search for this comment too cuz rly op 1200hp i think. But don't know his dmg output.
Note that they only benefit from enchantments that work on followers, such as giving them extra health or magicka.
hello, cool video I agree with the rankings
They might have weird pathing. Still a great summon.
You should do a video ranking the anniversary edition spells
I have a version of that for the conjuration spells up on the channel
nice ranking, i prefer dremora lord front of dead thrall but i never thinked it was possible to put armur & wepon in the dead body :O i have to try this
Ive gotta give #1 to Dremora Lords.
It casually exploding on the Dragonborn's face is also a very nice touch.
Arvak is really useful to me when I pack the player with a shit ton of things and my horse isn’t near by I just summon then fast travel on it 😂
I just wanna point out that on master and legendary, the summons are significantly better.
As a witch hunter(wish there was another name for this class type) I think flame atronach and maybe bound bow make nice combos
I watched this video to see the kinds of summons skyrim has since i have 2 conjuration characters. Normally I go straight for dremora lord and sword bound. But maybe ill test out the reanimation spells.
You can use soul trap to power level your conjuration if you find a mob/enemy that is either stuck or can't reach you for one reason or another
just do soul trap repeatedly on a dead animal or dead anything, it levels conjuration when you do it on a dead body of any kind.
Soul trap is the best spell to level conjuration quickly. Also arvak doesn't die if I run into a dragon while riding a horse
Always pleased to see Edler Scrolls videos.
Question though how long can Dead Thrall last?
Dead thrall can last forever, unless it dies in combat. Hope this answers your question!
@@TypicalPirate55 been playing this game for years and still don't know everything about it. What a game. Thanks
Beware casting Dead Thrall. Even if you leave the corpse outside of holds, you'll get comments about the smell forever even if you only cast it once.
I think there is difference is summoning one hand and both hand. Summons that are summoned both handed are much stronger and they stay for longer.
2:05 soultrap is still pretty useful for trening.
Shame conjuration is affected by spell absorption from atronach
Why I place Soul Trap higher and never take Soul Stealer. If I am primarily using bound weapons and kill a low level enemy, I might have my grand soul gem filled with a petty soul because I had to steal the soul. Soul Trap allows me to make sure the right soul goes into the right soul gem
plus you can use dead thrall to upgrade the ebony blade
I like using them as a disraction while i can focus on the damage and since im trying really play the whole game instead of making a new save everytime this time and actually try different playstyles and mods im trying to keep minimal so i can experience the game as pure and fun i can get.
there's also technically conjure dragon priest from konahrik
Can't agree about Familiar. For a breton straight out of helgen it works a treat. Tanks enemies plenty at lvls 1-3. Easy to recast for breton.
At legendary it deals 4x the damage of the PC
Ash spawn is a great tank.
I had no idea that the familiar can give the player Rockjoint. I guess ya learn something new every day!
Arvak is a good boy. That alone deserves him a spot in top 5 at least
Can’t disagree with that logic!
Great video
@@jaylowbeatbox4061 thanks!
Solid list!
