How is performance? Seems like a lot of particles being simulated. Is it mainly on CPU or GPU performance? Sorry I dont know the first thing about garrys mod but I am really interested in fluid simulations in games and want to implement my own

Flood gates and control gates have been added in the latest version, that I hadn't showcased yet. About water moving props. Water can do that, but it is very unstable as of now, and eats up a lot of FPS.

make a rain system of 4 buttons, one to activate the ran, 2 to edit the rain droplet size and frequency (how much rain will actually fall each tick), and the last one to affect speed, (if it goes fast enough, the water'll start to kill players on impact from above.)
No, lighting just wasn't rendered on map. Maybe author decided water will be better seen on fullbright map or he just didn't put it yet, no problems with gwater and lighting

Perhaps you could add a spout for a pool that overflows onto grates built into the floor.
Could be a neat area to showcase the swimming mechanics.
Why is there no lighting? is it a limitation or have you just not gotten to it yet?

Believe it's possible to compile with vis calc disabled in compile options instead of doing a leak, though is untested

I've actually programmed a version of the water gun that makes it rain from the skybox of the map... I'll showcase it later.

Unfortunately, the water cannot trigger any triggers as of now.
