Luke Lanides quesadillas are regional. The south loves corn tortillas, the north is all about the flour. If you want an authentic quesadilla you get s tortilla and the cheese from the mennonites.
@@sushidope1701: let me start off by acknowledging your name it’s pretty cool 🤣 but yea I mean I just thought of like the OG quesadillas like de huitlacoche and flor de calabaza that I’ve always had with corn masa/tortilla but yea I would agree it can be a regional thing as well.
Oh guys, in mexico we have a whole debate about the "without queso" quesadilla because a quesadilla like that it's just a taco. The rest of mexico it's really upset with mexico city
There’s a book published in 1831 called "Cocinero mexicano", in which the recipe for a quesadilla does not contain cheese. Also, in a spanish dictionary from 1737, the quesadilla is actually a dessert (with no cheese). These are semantic changes for the same word, so it’s very valid, and normal, for people from Mexico City to have quesadillas with no cheese.
My mom was born and raised in Mexico City sometimes I would order my quesadilla with out any cheese and it’s pretty normal there but yeah we shoulf just called them tacos to be honestl lol

I really hate it when these words come out of your mouth: "In the season finale".. WHY!? As always we've just begun a new season and then it's coming to an end.. 😭 this should be an endless show, as this is one of the best shows on YT. Can't wait for next episode and then next season.
@@Animaniafreak Yes, we waited so long for this season and it just started a few weeks ago and now, it is ending. I know it takes a lot of time to research and go to these places, especially with COVID. But this seaon is too short after such a long wait. So sad it is ending already.
Probably some Covid reason why they ending sooner I’d assume. One thing that makes no sense to me though is why can’t you drive together to the location ? If your allowed to stand basically ontop of each other when you get to the restaurant/food bar. Genuinely makes no sense.
Chocolat Foncée no cause the videos of them in the restaurant are before corona and then they have the pictures of them in the car because they can’t meet to film the “driving to the restaurant” and Stevens hair is faded in the car.
So... so did Andrew just get in his car and record himself driving around alone so he could toss in the clips of Steven and Adam talking to him? What a team player. 😂
If that were the case they would have to script that whole part of the vid, which I don't think they would do. I assume they're on a call or something and the videos are recorded at the same time and added in later, so the conversation is real, but Andrew is still driving around by himself.
@@vincenttroyer779 They did script it. Notice how they say most of the episode was filmed before Covid affected how they do productions? So they're up close and in person in the first restaurant, but "before" they go there, they socially distance by not being in the Toyota? That's a post-production edit. Just because a video shows things in a certain order doesn't necessarily mean the episode was produced in that order. This is a professional series with a significant budget, they're going to have a plan and a script for every episode, nothing is a surprise to at least one of them, except for the actual taste of the food. For example, there is no way they just walk into a restaurant without notice and ask to talk to the owners on camera. They have a production schedule. That's all organized and set up well in advance, and the owners probably know what questions are going to be asked, at least generally. Also! These guys clearly play to the camera, in that they have a clearly defined style. I can't imagine that when dining together, off camera, in their every day lives, that they go "mmm, call it, call it!" and "it's over!" and such. So, yes, they would make a post-production edit of them driving in the car, talking about anticipating going to the restaurant they've already been to. Why? It's easier from a filming and organizational perspective to get all the car scenes done in one or two filming sessions instead of having 400 different clips spread out across an entire production schedule.
@@Thorovain or they didn't care about social distancing until Toyota had something in their product placement contract requiring it Oh yeah.. -ahem- "we filmed the other stuff before"

9:00 "sell candy and make friends" loved that line haha
“I’ve never had a quesadilla made out of corn tortilla.” Then you never had a quesadilla. 🤣
Luke Lanides quesadillas are regional. The south loves corn tortillas, the north is all about the flour. If you want an authentic quesadilla you get s tortilla and the cheese from the mennonites.
@Luke Lanides all quesadillas are authentic quesadillas lol as long as it’s cheese and a tortilla
Uhh, you realize 90% of Quesadillas in Mexico are with flour right?😂
@@henryjw15 not 100% true, we of the north use and like corn tortilla as well. We see beauty in both the original corn and newcomer flour.

Thanks for the clarification, as a guanajuatense I needed that hahahaha
Sorry to bother you, mind checking out my new song? Constructive feedback always welcome! 😄
There’s a book published in 1831 called "Cocinero mexicano", in which the recipe for a quesadilla does not contain cheese. Also, in a spanish dictionary from 1737, the quesadilla is actually a dessert (with no cheese). These are semantic changes for the same word, so it’s very valid, and normal, for people from Mexico City to have quesadillas with no cheese.
facts
My mom was born and raised in Mexico City sometimes I would order my quesadilla with out any cheese and it’s pretty normal there but yeah we shoulf just called them tacos to be honestl lol
the chefs in this episode are very passionate with their cooking. it's a very nice sight to watch

gotta save worth it episodes for while you're cooking/eating, otherwise it's too painful lmfao
I'm always already eating like a bowl of cereal or ritz with cheese and ham on them lol. Might as well be garbage compared to these foods.

Quesadilla doesn’t come from the Latin word for cheese. It’s from the indigenous Nahuatl word quesaditzin, meaning “folded tortilla.”
Thanks for that fun factttt
my mind just got blown - thanks for this!
I really hate it when these words come out of your mouth: "In the season finale".. WHY!? As always we've just begun a new season and then it's coming to an end.. 😭 this should be an endless show, as this is one of the best shows on YT. Can't wait for next episode and then next season.
Ikr! I was shocked when they announce the season finale, I was like "Wat? Why? You just STARTED it!"
but question...is there a "season" every season (fall, summer, winter, spring)? so 4 sets of episodes? Or is it a set of episodes for the whole year?
@@jimron8844 It used to be 2 seasons per year, I think. But now it just 1 season? Waited so long for the last one and this one.
Where is Andrew actually driving to?
To the sunset my friend.
The rest of buzzfeed’s content
He still hasn’t found it btw
it doesn’t matter, probably just wherever. he has to drive since they are sponsored by toyota.
To infinity and beyond
This is one of those rare episodes that all 3 are worth it
Who else just assumed that they filmed their car scenes when they were actually driving to the next place?
Isn't.. that what they do?😶
Chocolat Foncée no cause the videos of them in the restaurant are before corona and then they have the pictures of them in the car because they can’t meet to film the “driving to the restaurant” and Stevens hair is faded in the car.
I just realized that Andrew and Steven are 30 now
Ok
Woah. You’re right. I wonder how old they were when they first started like how long has it been
@@GREYSYFITNESS 26 or 27 this started in 2016
The dirty 30. It's a thing.
Steven looks like he still in his 20s
So... so did Andrew just get in his car and record himself driving around alone so he could toss in the clips of Steven and Adam talking to him? What a team player. 😂
Yes 🤣
If that were the case they would have to script that whole part of the vid, which I don't think they would do. I assume they're on a call or something and the videos are recorded at the same time and added in later, so the conversation is real, but Andrew is still driving around by himself.
they have a sponsorship deal with toyota, who provided the car.
the deal probably requires them to have the scenes in the car
@@Thorovain or they didn't care about social distancing until Toyota had something in their product placement contract requiring it
Oh yeah.. -ahem- "we filmed the other stuff before"
I wish I didn’t live on the other side of the world so I can go to the places they go on worth it :(
