Apparently this is Nolan North voicing Constantine and not Matt Ryan. Which is pretty impressive - I honestly couldn't tell the different, and I've been hearing Ryan play Constantine for literally a decade now.

I like the changes they made to the story, instead of having to introduce two new characters they bring back two old characters in their place and it's nice to see Barry being a nice guy even if he has to make up for a crime he no longer remembers. I was going to go into details but I don't want to spoil the story too much for those who haven't read the original comic or watched the Arrowverse crossover. I also have a theory about the version of The Spectre that appears in this trilogy.
Constantine's punishment reminds me of Jyoji Hijiri from Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne. When the world ends, Hijiri is one of the few humans who survived, and he's the only survivor who helps you out. After he's killed, it turns out that he was cursed in a past life to witness the end of the world in every world, for an unspecified sin. He didn't survive the end of the world; he died, but his curse was so powerful that he was reborn just to die all over again. It's never specified why he's being punished, but there's a theory that he's the reincarnation of Aleph, hero of Shin Megami Tensei II, and his sin is killing God at the end of his game.

no wonder they wouldn't cast keanu reeves for constantine. They'd be paying millions for probably a couple dozen minutes of screentime unless they completely rewrote everything for him to have more scenes than he does.
Had to come back just to hear his voice after watching part 2 where he sounded normal he talked slightly different here and the Nolan north credit at the end of this movie really confused me but guess they just wanted us to not realize it was him despite the magic at the end proving it

I actually enjoyed the DCAMU from Justice league war to apokolipse (albeit with some gripes along the way) but it never sat right with me that they ended that continuity because of dwindling sales just to start the tomorrow verse and now they’re ending tonmorow verse with a three parter that looks like ass.

In Constantine: House of Mystery he even says he guided Flash as they caused the Flashpoint so Darkseid can't find them again and in the end of the short, the Spectre says that he broke the rules and the universe in turn demands retribution. So it makes sense that the universe turned John into the Pariah as his punishment.
