I've got a 998 too. It is in storage. It has only 4500 miles on it. Another low mileage bike I have in storage is a 2000 Aprilia RSV Mille R. Both keepers I figure.
The body parts I would sell, steal, borrow, whatever. Road bikes weren't just a hell of a lot easier to start either. Doesn't matter. Give it to me red, loud, powerful, leaking oil and fuel, nothing but a smile ear to ear baby!
