The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has more than 800 sworn law enforcement officers, who work to conserve thousands of species of wildlife, fresh and saltwater fish.
The FWC Division of Law Enforcement is one of the strongest forces for conservation in the nation. These are highly trained, versatile law enforcement officers with full police powers with state and federal jurisdiction.
They are responsible for three million acres of fresh water lakes, 11,000 miles of rivers, streams and creeks, 8,400 miles of coastline and nearly 13,000 square miles of ocean. FWC officers watch over more than 34 million acres of land including wildlife management areas, state parks, forests and private lands. They also provide law enforcement services in rural, wilderness and offshore areas where no other law enforcement agencies routinely patrol.

@@BudgOutdoors don't give up if it's what you really want to do give it your all. You'll be guaranteed to pass. I am sure someone from the CERT team can help you get in shape for this test. You can do it believe in yourself and put the work in you got this.

In the process now. I sure hope it works out, it’s my dream job. The process is a long one but hopefully worth it in the end.

Good luck conserving the few acres left. Too many people want to move there. The highway 75S is fenced to keep the diverse wildlife from crossing over and causing serious accidents. I would like to see crossovers built for critter crossing or tunnels.

About 10 months
Just finished the PAT waiting to submitted supplemental app and do interviews good luck at the academy!
I’m in the navy right now and have three more years on my contract.
Florida’s my home state and would love to work for this organization after I get out.
As soon as I'm 21 I'm going to work on the application process to becoming a Connecticut EnCon officer! 1 year to go! Just out of curiosity, if i were to transfer from CT as a conservation officer to Florida, would the application process be different or the same?
Zach Novosad states make up their own game wardens you can’t transfer from state to state unless your a federal game warden

I would advise you to check out CBP(US customs and border protection) or border patrol.
You'll get in at a gs-9 or higher due to your experience and that you're a veteran. Great career field. You can also apply at CBP Air and Marine (Air Enforcement Agent.) You'll have veterans preference and your application will be processed much faster compared to a regular civilian with a bachelor's degree. Kind Regards.

Y'all are straight up moving and shifting and relocating the Florida Panthers down there in the wrong direction straight up. Northwards is the way to go about guys buy land for housing there and southwards to move those Florida Panthers to not northwards. Work smarter not harder. If you're trying to protect and save and preserve wildlife down there. Then switch locations of those animals and their natural habitat areas it's straight up simple. Let the housing development land pay off the loans for the wildlife Land instead of ruining and causing exstintion of more wildlife.

You guys shouldn’t be boarding peoples boats just because you see fishing poles. Stop trying to humiliate and dominate people and using fishing as an excuse to search someone’s boat. You can ask to see their cooler from your boat or just wait at the docks to check for fish. Hopefully the laws change soon.

thepeople Liberty Dude calm down they play an important role in protecting wildlife for future generations hell whenever I hit 18 I’ll be trying to secure a job in fwc because of the fact it deals with 2 things in my life I’m passionate about and it really does give you job security or even if a poor mans fishing for food I doubt they would give him a ticket mostly because every game warden I’ve met has been a nice person who I personally feel wouldn’t gone some1 in that position
RevampPlus I'm assuming you're talking about hunting, requiring somebody to acquire a license to fish from a boat who is not dragging large nets around should not be required to give up their fourth amendment rights so somebody can look in their freaking cooler and bait well.

Regulations are the opposite of freedom, what right does a man have to tell another man he can not eat a fish because of its status beyond that what right do you have to monetarily or otherwise penalize a man for catching a fish?
