It appears similar to 'Recondo' training put on for ROTC students at various military bases. Very good idea! It's incredible that there are amazingly brave individuals who join, including the Navy, without knowing how to swim.
@@brandooooooz maybe try taking swim lessons? I understand fears of water and stuff but yeah, it might be good to start by learning how to in shallow pools, where you can touch the bottom easily and work from there? or if it's really bad work on just putting your feet in, then your legs, then chest, and eventually going under for a moment and work from there? I wouldn't let your fear stop you from doing your dream job, and it will be all the sweeter when you finally Do make it
Same, I almost drowned in a river and I get really nervous when I see things like this. I don’t mean to but my body freezes and I begin having trouble breathing
Just a question, do they have their vests on? They seem to be struggling whilst swimming, I don't know if it is just the weight of clothes, tiredness, or whatever else.
There is a misconception that the weight of wet clothes drags one down when in water. Water does not have weight in water. A water filled balloon has virtually no weight in water. Clothes in water actually weigh less than dry clothes because of the water displaced by the clothing fabrics.
Stephen Hulsey The clothes do create a lot of drag! I thought I was an ok swimmer until I tried swimming with othes and shoes. I could hardly move using free style and had to breast stroke.
Never seen that by any law enforcement before, pretty impressive training -

You can also use your clothes to float.
This is similar to the US navy's Dive school
