I had a projection of Gale tell me that he only had parts of original Gale's memories, and only what was necessary for its task. It was right before his last night alive scene. So makes sense why projection Gale questions, because he doesn't have that memory.

If you read the letter it leaves his belongings to Tara and his mother (and Elminster gets some dangerous things), but there is actually nothing for Tav/Durge because Gale couldn’t bring himself to finish writing his feelings out.
If you romanced him, you can try and kiss him but you can’t. He says “I can see why I loved you,” before fading away. Then our Tav falls onto their knees afterwards

Little word about why this scene is so heartbreaking, and it's a narrative reason, every line he says as a projection is distant from any emotion you feel as a player, he is cheerful as he gives you his final words, very impersonal, and very him to make a projection with his voice and appearance and happily say to you that no he isn't Gale, Gale is gone. And so asking you if you need anything before disapearing forever, you go to hug him cause hells the emotions, and Larian goes full on breaking your heart : 1- You can't hug him, he is immaterial, just an illusion 2- The illusion shows the true feelings of Gale, and makes you feel is if it is him just in front of you 3- He disapears forever before you can say goodbye, making you witness him dying a second time and feel like you waisted your last interaction with him by hugging the air. No respite, no releif, only the crushing emptiness and remorse of having lost him forever. Godsdammit Larian. genius narrative storyline.

Oh my goodness this hits hard, how at first he speaks as if he has no emotional attachments at all, but when Tav tries to hug him, it's like part of him slipped through in that moment. It hurts my heart to watch this, Gale is so sweet and deserves happiness ❤️
Gale abandoned my tav at the docks... For the crown. When they met at the party, as a god, he didn't even mentioned their relationship. Not sure why I got that ending.

I don't even really like Gale that much but this still made me tear up. People forget to find happiness where they are sometimes and want too much. Then they lose it all.
Astarion is a cheeky good time and a good friend to help with his trauma. His story is better as bffs. He doesn't need romance, he needs a friend. Gale is the only one who *needs* a great love.

He kept trying to get into my pants on my first playthrough. Got pretty annoying after a while. Wish Larian had made what dialogue leads to romance a little more obvious. They somewhat fixed it in later patches but it's still weird.

Despite all the magic and quest for godhood, there's something so grounded about Gale. He's that sort of friend you don't quite think you deserve but you love all the same.
A lot of female Tavs are just insanely hot in similar ways but I feel like the design of this one is really beautiful in a unique and really cute way so props for that

God, this game finds ways to be so undeniably amazing. Whether it's the combat, the world, or anything else. Though as any good game of dungeons and dragons, you'll always remember the amazing NPCs

Kind of cherry picking there. In this case silence works better (and would have been the response even if the PC was voiced), that doesn't change that most of the game would benefit from letting us choose the general response / tone, and let the character speak. The voiceless protagonist is an outdated tradition, now that games let the player choose how the PC reacts. That was the only reason the silent protagonist started, to allow the player to decide how what was happening made their character feel, not because it's better.
My Dark Urge was a Half-Elf Selûnite (2 level Cleric dip) Wizard named Telendas, and he fought tooth and nail against his worse self, defying Bhaal just as Shadowheart defied Shar. He let Gale choose to sacrifice himself to solo the netherbrain so that nobody would have to undergo ceremorphosis and be made ghaik. In honor of his noble sacrifice, Telendas and Shadowheart named their first son Gale.
Yeah, I took his hand and use it as an improvised weapon. I also plan on using it as my bhaal offering, because I'm supplanting the sarevok dynasty. The bastard was a nuisance in bg1, I'm ending him for good this time.
Gale might regret Godhood as he would lose his humanity but love for his partner. Astarion will resent you for not stopping him from Ascending. Karlach will regret dying if she didn't know about the chance of the schematics. Character development like this.. enough for tears to shed from my eyes... Music, the lines, the stoicism of an automated voice turning to sincere emotions at the last line.. it's perfect.
So basically game tells you you shouldnt let those ambitions or depression win .you must be humble and hopeful about life until its very end as long as you breath there is hope and there is also more beatiful things than what ambition brings you.
This is the ending I got for gale and it made me start crying like a little bitch because of how much emotion he put into saying that before he just disappeared

Lol (BTW the glitch happened because an update happened halfway through my first playthrough, and gale had like so many things to say to me about shit I didn't even do was crazy. The video creator actually edited that line on, he usually says something like “I was lucky to have known you”
The projection spell has gales thoughts, feelings, and memories. It's simply bound to a set task. So in a way the spell is him judging himself.
If he's a god that's probably just gale affecting the spell after it's creation

If you notice in the video his lips didn't match with that line, so what he said to you in your playthrough is what he always says I believe

Kind of cherry picking there. In this case silence works better (and would have been the response even if the PC was voiced), that doesn't change that most of the game would benefit from letting us choose the general response / tone, and let the character speak. The voiceless protagonist is an outdated tradition, now that games let the player choose how the PC reacts. That was the only reason the silent protagonist started, to allow the player to decide how what was happening made their character feel, not because it's better.

Killed gale cuz dark urge playthrough. Game ended when his soul or whatever exploded 2 days later
If you pick Dark Urge unique way to end him, you avoid that.

My Dark Urge was a Half-Elf Selûnite (2 level Cleric dip) Wizard named Telendas, and he fought tooth and nail against his worse self, defying Bhaal just as Shadowheart defied Shar. He let Gale choose to sacrifice himself to solo the netherbrain so that nobody would have to undergo ceremorphosis and be made ghaik. In honor of his noble sacrifice, Telendas and Shadowheart named their first son Gale.
Yeah, I took his hand and use it as an improvised weapon. I also plan on using it as my bhaal offering, because I'm supplanting the sarevok dynasty. The bastard was a nuisance in bg1, I'm ending him for good this time.

Gale might regret Godhood as he would lose his humanity but love for his partner. Astarion will resent you for not stopping him from Ascending. Karlach will regret dying if she didn't know about the chance of the schematics. Character development like this.. enough for tears to shed from my eyes... Music, the lines, the stoicism of an automated voice turning to sincere emotions at the last line.. it's perfect.
So basically game tells you you shouldnt let those ambitions or depression win .you must be humble and hopeful about life until its very end as long as you breath there is hope and there is also more beatiful things than what ambition brings you.
My astarion was happy he ascended and even at the end of the game said we could rule together but I didnt do that

Bro i got this ending because of a glitch. Im so mad. This shit made me cry by no fault of my own! Lol
(BTW the glitch happened because an update happened halfway through my first playthrough, and gale had like so many things to say to me about shit I didn't even do was crazy. Bro talked about making a deal with rapheal and "making him this way" at the end of the game, and I had no idea what he was talking about lol)
