Great interview! Incredibly in awe of the original version on your “bootleg” cover. I think it’s beautiful. Would love to find a copy of it one day with that original without the red

What an amazing connection to literary history to be part of. I am a recent Harry Potter reader, and this series really means so much to me as an adult. I never knew the wonder of this magical world until now. The cover art is definitely an illustration that makes me smile and think of hope, and new experiences, of good winning out. It invites us into the story, like great covers should.

We want (by which I mean I and every other Potter savant I've spoken to) the original children and adult illustration hardback copies to be published and available again.
I have refused to replace my copy of The Goblet of Fire (because it's now falling apart after over twenty years) until I can get another original illustrated hardback edition. But I don't think Bloomsbury will ever publish those versions again.
It's very sad - I simply want to be able to buy new copies of the same versions of the books I had for decades.

I'm glad I can hear Thomas Taylor at some point in the interview 🤣, I don't think it is ill intended , it is the passion talking.

You are right. It is described in the books that he does that.
