Hello chief I like your videos. In this video during trimming how did you manage your team as I understand 2nd and 3rd mate at quay if so who are looking heeling pipe at main deck at the same time? Thanks
Hoping to see your video soon.
Please consider to render a video concerning the operation of steering gear
Noted mate, that’s a good suggestion
Sir please try to do one video on ballasting deballasting operation- line arrangement, ballast water management plan, anti heeling during cargo operation if available.
No problem mate I’ll put that on my list
Hi Chief Red...I enjoy your videos very much. Thank you for taking the time to produce. I do have a question on what the piping lines service on the deck running fore and aft near the hatches. I know one of that would be firemain, and perhaps hydraulics. I would like to know what the others are. Thank you.
Thanks mate, you got it right, newer ships have FW pipe lines, some have ballast water lines depends on ship’s construction, Air pipe lines.Im talking about the bulk carriers only base on my experiences.
@@chiefred90 Thank you very much for the reply Chief. I understand now. Thanks again for the great work you are doing.
Hello Ch/Red
I'm from Paranaguá Port, I'm agent and ship's broker.
Very good channel.
Thank you Mr. Agent, hopefully to be back there soon
The cargo hold is painted. Is there any special usage or reason? Why is intermediate draft survey required?
Its painted to protect it from corrosion, to double check the cargo quantity loaded and finalize the cargo remaining to load to trim the vessel, we call it trimming.
@@chiefred90 Thank you very much.
