DONT USE A BOTTLE FOR THE WATER!!!! Since this is a video targeted at people wanting to get hedgehogs I just thought I'd add my experience: my hedgehog bramble broke her teeth due to me using a bottle to feed for water so id only suggest the bowl method
Some like to bite at the water bottle while others don't. Honestly I use the water bottle but as long as it's set low enough they usually won't try to bite it. If you do use a bowl please make sure it's one worth a heavy weighted bottom so it will not tip over when they put their feet on it. Not only is it messy but it could also hurt them.

I love this! Great husbandry! You obviously care a lot about your pet and that's just beautiful! The only thing is to be careful with the heating pad. I know most people avoid them because they can be dangerous.
1. Even if two hedgehogs are sisters do not keep them together there is a 90 percent chance that they will not get along. 2.the cacti are not a good idea because your hedgehog could easily get them in their eyes mouth etc. Which can easily leave to injuries. 3. WHERE IS YOUR HEAT SETUP??? I'm do not want to sound rude and your hedgie seems perfectly healthy, but to avoid hibernation or over heating (both of which are fatal ) hedgehogs must be kept at around 24-26 degrees celcius (I Don't know what that is in farenheit) not having a heat setup is very risky and I cannot stress enough the dangers of not having one. A ceramic heat lamp with a thermostat and thermometer to keep the temperature correct Is what I use for my boys. Don't get me wrong your hedgie seems perfectly happy and healthy, and you seem like a wonderful person, but I couldn't help but recognise that you missed some crucial things. :) please do not take this in a rude way
ThisIsYourCaptainSpeaking 1. well, from my experience, my breeders and my friends who have multiple hedgehogs have rarely had problems with two females from the same liter. If you do want to try them housing together you must have a backup option if necessary. Plus two wheels, two huts, and two food set ups. 2. They’re fake. 3. She has a heating pad underneath the fleece. I live in Texas and in the summer it’s not necessarily an issue. In the winter the heating pad is on at all times Hope this helped your concerns!
BellaIsSalty I’ve never had a problem with mine, Ive kept it on the lowest setting. I’m sure it could cause burns if you put it on higher settings though, so I’d use with caution
Thank you for this! I go to school and work and I get home around 10pm, so i've been looking for a pet to keep me company while I finish my homework late at night, and also be fine while I am away. Of course, my dog sleeps at night, and it is a little hard to interact with fish and snails 😅 It looks like a hedgehog might be the pet for me!!

UPDATE: WATER BOTTLE is NOT 100% suitable for a hedgehog due to the structure of it's mouth! Some kind of dish is better :) Also, atleast according to finnish experts, catfood is a no-no on daily basis, diet should be 60-80% insects etc and other foods in small amounts every now and then C:

Getting a hedgehog and a Bengal (because my dad is allergic and bro has asthma and Bengals are hyper-allergenic) cat when I move. I have a hedgie and the problem with mine is that she is so messy!! I have to clean her fleece blanket every single day! She poops everywhere then climbs in her bed and sleeps in her poop. 😩😩 I wish she wasn’t so messy. I changed her flooring to newspaper/pee pads and I’m currently using old T-shirt’s for her blankets but I hate it because it’s not warm enough for her!! Any advice on how to keep her somewhat cleaner so she’s not sleeping in her poop? I don’t want to wash her everyday because it’s not good for hedgies! :(

Yes! You do if u do not have a warm house they need to be between 74 to 78 degrees I find that they like it in the middle it’s good to not have the hole area heated and try to heat were they sleep but avoid the rest of the cage

put the poop from the night before in the littertray/ puppy pad until they understand that there is where they need to poop.
Where do they go to the bathroom? Do they just go anywhere or can you train them to go in a specific place?
They tend to do it after running on their wheel, so many owners put a tray with paper pellets under the wheel for the hedgehogs to use

Katie Lyn depends! My room is always warm, and I have a heating pad for my hedgehog. If your room gets under 70 degrees I would get a small heater!

They hibernate if it gets too cold. Heck wild hedgehogs live outside in my country in -15c weather. Got to be over 600g weight though to survive.

Idk about the cat food because it can cause dryness of the skin and they may have a reaction to the cat food but overall I love💘 your setup 😊
