This so far has been your best Fan Friday by MILES! Please do more of this, I would love to see the story of the Kerman Kids who grow up and want to be just like their father Jebediah.
I am a major KSP fanboy, but I have to say, this is quite possibly one of the best playthroughs I have seen. You are well on your way to being awesome with this game, Jesse.
I'm honestly impressed he did that well for his first few tries. Many people can't even get off the launchpad the first time. Jesse figured out how staging works all by himself and made it into space in under half an hour.
Jessie, at 21:00 the reason why you lost control is that the higher up you the less air is pushing against your rocket to keep it stable. What you need for space control is RCS (activated with R) It uses it's own fuel as well so don't forget to add it (it'll either say RCS fuel, or read 'monopropellant') and the thruster blocks it uses. Also the reason why your chute failed was it can only support the weight of about a command capsule, so you want a decoupler for it. Thumbs up so he can see!
Big expensive rocket crashes horribly twice. Before figuring out what went wrong, Jesse says, "Let's get some people involved." Jesse you are so wonderfully entertaining.
I started playing Kerbal Space Program about two months ago and have been watching a lot of videos on it. Hint: it seems ridiculously difficult, but at least managing to not die and do basic stuff like get stuff in orbit and get to the Mün is pretty easy if you just look at how other people do it. Also, there's a mod called MechJeb that's basically easy mode, at least for getting in orbit. It'll basically do it for you, if you want to see how it's done.
I have never been in more tears from laughter than before this. On both times of Jesse truly believing that everything is going to be okay, the rocket blows up a horrible death.
If your going to make this a series here is a quick hint to stabilizing your ship Place an S.A.S module under the cockpit like you did at 16:10, that what you put under the cockpit is the largest S.A.S module, there are 2 more that are meant for smaller ships, they keep the ship stabilized as long as it is active (press T before launch)
Jesse, you should play some Dungeonland with friends on the next Fan Friday! I loved you playing with TB in Dungeonland, and would love to see you play more!
The middle guy is just so happy, like its the greatest part of his life, His parents will be so pround and then poof, no more of him and his space adventures
Probably. You can buy it on the KSP website too, for $24. It IS kind of expensive for the state it is in, but that's the point, since it's still in alpha and they want dedicated testers.
I hope i see more of these videos. Also really want to get this game, record it and head for the stars as im pretty sure this would be a challenge for anyone. Good job!
During the Great Space Race, Television was advertising it everywhere. The United States was going to space. Space camp was young boy's chance to be part of the great space race. They could feel like they were serving their country.
Jesse, you gotta realize something about Jeb Kerman - he's always happy. ALWAYS. HAPPY. You could make a giant steel deathtrap and he'd be smiling. You'd have to screw up ABSURDLY bad for Jeb to stop smiling.
You absolutely have to play more, it was hilarious and torturous at the same time! If you feel like seeing just how much KSP has to offer, you can take a look at a few of my videos.
Give this game another shot, it actually is fun and somewhat difficult. you just have to learn how to manage thrust ratio and hit the T key to activate the auto-guidance it will help with launching, just try getting to space first before trying for the moon
I love the way you go in there. :D I have had KSP for a long time now, and I've still not reached anything else than Mün (and I fail 75% of my landings, due to fuel shortage). Do a full series, what do you think about that Jesse? :D Like Mün lander series, the whole progress from going from A to Z, Z being the successful landing.
Just as a tip jesse, add a a.s.a.s module onto your pod, and then press T to turn it on (before you turn on the engines) this will stabilize your rocket
That ending was fucking perfect. I played a much earlier build of this game a while back. The best I've done is overshot the moon and ended up rabidly accelerating away from Earth until it was just a speck. Leaving those poor Kerbals to freeze to death in the cold vacuum of space. billions of miles from home, cold and alone.
oh you would've loved the one rocket i made with the demo then. I called it the towering inferno as the cockpit was at the bottom and almost all the engines were above it. had to disengage them before their fuel ran out so they would fly away randomly from the rest of the rocket. ^^
There are some tutorials in-game, you know. And don't accelerate time (Time Warp) when the parachute opens, because it will brake, just like it did with yours (it's a bug).
please tell me this is going to be a series that was god damn hilarious and the ending just made me brake out in tears with histarical laugher YOU MADE MY LUNGS HURT.. don't let my pain and those poor kerbal's deaths be in vain.. continue.. please?
Speaking of space. I had an epifani while walking to work today. I had this theory about how Endor was originally a part of Kashyyyk. A meteor or a tiny moon crashed into Kashyyyk, ripping parts of the land out and tossing it out into Kashyyyk's orbit, WITH some of the Ewoks and Wookies ancestors on it. And then from that early ancestor Ewoks and Wookies evolved differently. (Theres probably an explanation in wookiepedia, but pfft)
Jesse said he got into space. He obviously doesnt think he survived the trip, but he thought he made it out of the atmosphere. At 21:20 he says "were in space! Were in space!" I just wanted to point out that he was still in atmosphere.
Glad to see you got around to playing KSP Jesse..... this game is great. Next time try pressing T before you launch and M when your in space to see your Orbit lol.
hahaha! "it's landing very softly.".... Fawh-BOOM!
Would love to see more of this, this game is unrivalled in the sense of achievement it gives you when you manage to do something right :P
I am loving Jesse's frankenships.
This so far has been your best Fan Friday by MILES! Please do more of this, I would love to see the story of the Kerman Kids who grow up and want to be just like their father Jebediah.
"Pilots help a bunch in this game!" Who'd a thunk it?
I am a major KSP fanboy, but I have to say, this is quite possibly one of the best playthroughs I have seen. You are well on your way to being awesome with this game, Jesse.
the weight was too much for the parachute
I'm honestly impressed he did that well for his first few tries. Many people can't even get off the launchpad the first time. Jesse figured out how staging works all by himself and made it into space in under half an hour.
I love how he thinks he's got it
i'd love to see a series on this jesse, the game is one of my favourites and fuck you make it even funnyer to see stuff blowing up
21:31 no you aren't, space starts at 70 000 meters.

Thumbs up so he can see!
been following this game since its early states an been patiently waiting for jesse to do a vid, needless to say it was so satisfying
Please more, this is by far the best video you've ever put out!
Big expensive rocket crashes horribly twice.
Before figuring out what went wrong, Jesse says, "Let's get some people involved."
Jesse you are so wonderfully entertaining.

Jessie, please make this into a series. Fun and educational (to an extent), but mostly fun.
Jebediah never stopped smiling even moments before his death
This was my first Kerbal Video. So much nostalgia!
In memory of Bill, Jebediah, and Bob Kerman. May their sacrifice for the development of a functional spacecraft never be forgotten....
PLEASE GOD MAKE THIS A SERIES... MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS, KSP AND JESSE
Jesse, you should play some Dungeonland with friends on the next Fan Friday! I loved you playing with TB in Dungeonland, and would love to see you play more!
You have to love all the random songs Jesse comes up with on the spot.
I litterally laughed myself to tears from the ending. Please play more of this!
The middle guy is just so happy, like its the greatest part of his life, His parents will be so pround and then poof, no more of him and his space
adventures
Please more Jesse! I havent laugh this much from your vids in a while! Please more!
I love the ending "their gonna land fine, guys you're gonna live... oh god what happened??? ....(boom)" then mourning song for the dead
1 month later, I can now dock. Gentlemen, this game has to be the hardest thing to ever grace my hard drive... I love it.
Please Jesse, make this into a series! We would be ever so grateful.
Jesse, you really need to do more of this, this is epic and you made me buy this game.. awesome :)
I would love to see more of this game, this was amazing.
Probably. You can buy it on the KSP website too, for $24. It IS kind of expensive for the state it is in, but that's the point, since it's still in alpha and they want dedicated testers.
Come on jesse we need 100 more episodes of this of this. Do it for the great space butterfly!!!
I hope i see more of these videos. Also really want to get this game, record it and head for the stars as im pretty sure this would be a challenge for anyone. Good job!
R.I.P. Bill, Bob, and Jebediah Kerman. You served your country well, and we shall never forget you.
Jesse. The "Advanced S.A.S" module has a feature that you have to turn on (with T, if I remember correctly) that prevents those wild tailspins.
It seems like it's landing very eh... softly.
*Big huge explosion*
Close enough.
I love you Jesse.
During the Great Space Race, Television was advertising it everywhere. The United States was going to space. Space camp was young boy's chance to be part of the great space race. They could feel like they were serving their country.
I have been waiting for this letsplay ever since i saw ridgedog play this during the yogscast christmas livestreams.
Jesse, you gotta realize something about Jeb Kerman - he's always happy. ALWAYS. HAPPY. You could make a giant steel deathtrap and he'd be smiling. You'd have to screw up ABSURDLY bad for Jeb to stop smiling.
I've wanted to see you play this for ages! Play moar of it! SERIESSSS!!!
In loving memory of Bill, Jebediah, and Bob Kerman. We will never forget you.
I began to smile the biggest smile ever when Jesse began to sing David Bowie and then it became a frown when the parachute....
Honestly Jesse, there's a reason why most rocket designs have the stabilizing fins at the bottom near the boosters.
that was amazing i loved it Jesse,i have a suggestion you should do kerbal space program vids with people to see who gets the highest
You absolutely have to play more, it was hilarious and torturous at the same time!
If you feel like seeing just how much KSP has to offer, you can take a look at a few of my videos.
YES! FINALLY! I have waited a long time to see you play this! :D
Please do more this was the funniest thing i have seen in a while!
Give this game another shot, it actually is fun and somewhat difficult. you just have to learn how to manage thrust ratio and hit the T key to activate the auto-guidance it will help with launching, just try getting to space first before trying for the moon
For not knowing anything, he actually did very well, and was picking stuff up very fast.
I'd like to see how much he improved over another video.
Omg, that was the best video I have seen in a long time. Please make more.
pls jesse more of this, this was hilarious:D
you could make it a short series or sth
Jesse we need 100 more episodes of this!!! Please, do it for the space butterfly!
I enjoyed the little parody of Space Oddity. I actually started thinking about that song right before you started singing it.
Who could ever dislike one of Jesse's videos, the dude is magnificent.
This is the Captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence, and then explode.
OH MY GOD, Jesse u HAVE to make more of this, do 1 while doing CoxnCrendor show, oh god the possibilities
Jesse, this NEEDS TO BE A SERIES. Like, totally.
Just as a tip jesse, add a a.s.a.s module onto your pod, and then press T to turn it on (before you turn on the engines) this will stabilize your rocket
he had the time of his life...an astronaut at heart...
I laughed my ass off so hard during most of this. Keep it up Jesse and you should make more of these!
Next Fan Friday needs to be the indie game "Shark Attack"
Jesse will love it :P
oh you would've loved the one rocket i made with the demo then. I called it the towering inferno as the cockpit was at the bottom and almost all the engines were above it. had to disengage them before their fuel ran out so they would fly away randomly from the rest of the rocket. ^^
A lot of ppl might berate Jesse for being bad at games, but to give him credit...he learned pretty fast :)
the ending... EPIC!
There are some tutorials in-game, you know. And don't accelerate time (Time Warp) when the parachute opens, because it will brake, just like it did with yours (it's a bug).
23:09 and onwards... can't stop laughing lol. Jesse, do more. please. so much more.
please tell me this is going to be a series that was god damn hilarious and the ending just made me brake out in tears with histarical laugher YOU MADE MY LUNGS HURT.. don't let my pain and those poor kerbal's deaths be in vain.. continue.. please?

Please keep playing. And if you can, have Crendor sit with you while you do this.
Jesse said he got into space. He obviously doesnt think he survived the trip, but he thought he made it out of the atmosphere. At 21:20 he says "were in space! Were in space!"
I just wanted to point out that he was still in atmosphere.
PLEASE Jessie! Make this into a series!!!!!
PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER VIDEO OF THIS! THE WORLD NEEDS IT!!!!!
Jesse to stay In control you need to press t to turn on sas and look at videoed to get started on the website or even here on you tube
The best fan friday. The astronauts's faces were hilarious. lol
Need more Jesse Kerbalcox ftw. This would be an awesome series once and awhile.
We need a series that gets him on the moon, and the creates the Jebidiah Kerman memorial space station!
Jesse, I would seriously watch hours and hours of you playing this.
Glad to see you got around to playing KSP Jesse..... this game is great.
Next time try pressing T before you launch and M when your in space to see your Orbit lol.
I like how the one little guy just looked like he was having the time of his, albeit short, life.
omg that was brilliant. i normally get board watching ppl learn kerbal as i know how its all done but that was so entertaining.
Jesse, you did not get to space. If you look at the top middle, you are still in the atmosphere.
You have to do a play through of this Jesse. The Cox Empire must be built!
Jessie I can honestly say you made me cry laughing at the end! Amazing! Emotional!
Says you. You're always flabbergasted when I launch an unscheduled suborbital mission.
JESSE COMON! YOU WHERE SOO CLOSE TO MEETING THE SPACE BUTTERFLY. MAKE THIS A SERIES
The universe needs more of this. MUCH MORE!
Jeb's face at 23:18 sums him up. Laughing in the face of danger
"Wait - I can prevent that!" *releases parachute at 18000 above sea level* Killed me.
Haven't laughed this hard in a while! It needs to be a series! All of the likes!
This HAS to become a regular series
The end of that is one of the funniest things i've seen in ages.
OMG, I laughed so much I got a headache! LOL! Do more of these Jesse!
Need to do more of these, I bet Jesse will eventually get a working ship into space
RIP Bob, Jebadiah, and Bill, the Kerman triplets. They died honoring their family, and they died happy. ( At least Jeb did...)
Dear God, Jesse. I have never laughed that hard at a video in a long time. You simply MUST play more!
