This is the 1st video I've seen using Glow in the Dark htv, and honestly, I prefer the look. Not everyone wants glitter (right, guys?😊). Also, on black items, you can cut your infusible ink larger than the original image (tiny offset works) to prevent misalignment. Also, Siser has a video showing how you can sublimate DIRECT TO GLITTER vinyl using registration marks (print then cut) but instead of printing the image, cut the solid design. Also, small pieces of Blue Painters Tape will hold down any edges/corners for older mats.
I agree, I have done many other glow in the dark ones and they all turned out amazing. Thanks for the great tips! I will definitely try that out next time. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you soooo much for sharing this procedure. I did it on a 100% cotton towel and it worked wonderfully... I used the Cricut Easy Press with my Cricutmaker 3 and had a PERFECT outcome. Thank you again and thank you for sharing your experience with others like me.... I will be following you....😊😊👍👍
The 3 doesn’t require a cutting mat. How did it do cutting without the mat? I thought while buying stuff it has to say “smart cut” for the 3. Or is that not necessary?
You can use both smart vinyl and mats with the Cricut maker 3. All my smart machines cut wonderfully with and without the mat. Thank you so much for watching!
I enjoyed your video. 👍 I love the Cricut Joy and I really love the new Joy Xtra. I have a Maker as well. I have an Easy press and rarely ever use it as I found having to exert such effort pressing it made more sense to buy a swing away heat press. I have enjoyed using that machine much better.
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, I have had my husband use my easy press for me. Lol. I do love my swing away as well. It just makes pressing so easy!
I'm so glad you enjoy them. I have taken a break but will be back to posting in July. If you have any video requests, please let me know. Thank you so much for watching!
@@crafterssupport if you don’t mind I need a thorough training/video of how to make a card with writing on the outside and on the inside of the card and information on how to figure out what size the cards are R10-R40 has me confused and I get so lost when trying to make a card !! All I want to make is like a 5x7 card like you can buy in the store, please and thank you!!!!😊😊
THANK YOU!! FINALLY someone who explains the WHY from the beginning 🥰🥰🥰 I have glow in the dark I've BEEN wanting to use lol to make sure I have this correct the HTV can only be white? No other color will work? TIA Also, I use the Joy, Explore Air 2 & 3 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you. Correct! You could try any light colored glitter vinyl. I've never personal tried anything but the white. I would think the colors would not come out as well on a different color. But go for it! Is love to see your results! I love how the glow in the dark turned out! Thank you so much for watching!
@@crafterssupport you're most welcome and me too on the glow in the dark. Whenever I make something like this I'll be sure to let yk 🥰 moving soon so it'll be after I move and get settled lol
Thank you so much for an easy to understand video. So, the carrier sheets (glow in the dark and glitter) show under the infusible ink? I have a joy, explore air and maker 3.
@@crafterssupport I've heard you can use the clear htv for this too but haven't tried it yet. I know there are supposed to be 4 different types of htv that can be infused this way.
Great question. It does need to be a high polyester count base. So glitter HTV and glow in the dark HTV have that high count you need for the infusible ink to transfer to. Thank you for watching.
You will have to read the labels on the vinyl that you buy. Also, if you are looking for a blank fabric to put it on, make sure it's at least 60% polyester and 40% cotton . I found that it is the best combination. 100% polyester gives the absolute best color, in my opinion.
Your base color will dictate the vibrancy of the sublimation ink...the darker than white your glitter vinyl is, the less bright the color will be, but it will work. Glitter & Glow htv is PU (polyurethane based) which is why it works. Regular htv is not PU. Hope that helps.
Great question! I have only used white, however, you could try silver glitter vinyl. Just remember it has to have that high polyester count. Also, the color behind the infusible ink will determine the color of your final project. Thank you for watching!
Great question. If you use a 100% polyester, light colored shirt no. If you use cotton, you will need the HTV to give the infusible ink something to infuse into. Thank you for watching.

Yes! I love that you have a variety of machines. I find it so convenient to have different ones. Thank you so much for watching!
I got the Maker 3 for Christmas.
That's awesome!!! Are you loving it? Thanks for watching!
Idk if you mentioned it already but you mirror the image on both the HTV and infusible ink sheet if it's an image that needs to be mirrored, correct?
Yes!
@@crafterssupport Okies TYSM 🥰

I have the air 2 and I’m reeeeeally thinking about purchasing the joy (just bcuz Lol)
I love my Joy! It's so worth having !!! Thank you for watching!
Me too I want the joy ❤
Watching replay. Can you use just white iron on or does it have to be glitter
Unfortunately, you can not use white iron on. It has to have a high polyester count. You get that with the glow in the dark and glitter iron on.
@@crafterssupport I've heard you can use the clear htv for this too but haven't tried it yet. I know there are supposed to be 4 different types of htv that can be infused this way.
Same here, I've heard holographic htv/iron on works as well.
Can you use any HTV under the infusible ink or does it have to be the glitter/glow in the dark?
Great question. It does need to be a high polyester count base. So glitter HTV and glow in the dark HTV have that high count you need for the infusible ink to transfer to. Thank you for watching.
@@crafterssupport how do you check how much polyester is in the vinyl? Thank you!
You will have to read the labels on the vinyl that you buy. Also, if you are looking for a blank fabric to put it on, make sure it's at least 60% polyester and 40% cotton . I found that it is the best combination. 100% polyester gives the absolute best color, in my opinion.
@@crafterssupport thank you so much!! Your opinion is very valuable!!!
does the final result feel more like HTV or is it smooth like infusible ink?
Great question! It feels like the texture of the HTV I used. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for another great video
Thank you so much!!!
I have an explorer 3 love it
I just recently got mine and love it as well! It's amazing! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for sharing ❤️❤️😘🙏
You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
Can I use silver/gold glitter HTV under the infusible ink… there’s nothing on the roll telling me the polyester count?
I would say, "Go for it!" To my knowledge, any light glitter should work. Good luck! I'd love to see your results.
@@crafterssupport thank you!!
If you have atleast 60% polyester do you need the white glitter?
Great question! No, if you have the polyester count and use a light colored fabric, you do not need the white glitter. Thank you for watching
Does it have to be white glitter iron on or can you use silver glitter iron on??
I have never tried it personally. However, it is a high polyester product, so I would say "try it"!
Your base color will dictate the vibrancy of the sublimation ink...the darker than white your glitter vinyl is, the less bright the color will be, but it will work. Glitter & Glow htv is PU (polyurethane based) which is why it works. Regular htv is not PU. Hope that helps.
I thought Infusible ink works great on higher polyester shirt?
Yes! 100% white polyester works best. This is an alternative to polyester. Thank you for watching.
I have an explorer air 2
That's great! I ran a full time business with my Explore air 2! Thank you for watching!
Does it matter what color
Great question! I have only used white, however, you could try silver glitter vinyl. Just remember it has to have that high polyester count. Also, the color behind the infusible ink will determine the color of your final project. Thank you for watching!
Can u use white htv
Unfortunately no, plain white HTV does not have the polyester coating needed for the infusible ink/ sublimation ink to infuse into.
I have the Cricut Maker
That's great! I have not used the Maker but I'm definitely interested in all the tools you can use with it. Thank you so much for watching!
@@crafterssupport you’re welcome!! I loved your video!! Look forward to more videos from you!
Air 2
I HAVE CRICUT MAKER
Do you have to use HTV under the infusable ink? or can you just use the infusable ink straight on the shirt? Thanks
Great question. If you use a 100% polyester, light colored shirt no. If you use cotton, you will need the HTV to give the infusible ink something to infuse into. Thank you for watching.
