The whole time I'm just looking at the background trying to figure out where Regan is going to keep fitting in books. I feel like she keeps making more and more vertical stacks to try to fit in "just one more book..." 🤣
Kingdom of Back is one of my faves i've read this year -- But it's not as dark as you're thinking. It's lyrical, it's sad and dark but also so so beautiful. I highly suggest reading it with Mozart's piano music in your ears -- it just makes the reading experience 100x better!!
I started reading The House on the Cerulean Sea the other day for a book club I’m in... and it’s really good so far! I really didn’t know what to expect going into it, but I am sucked in!! I hope you enjoy it when you get to it! 🙂
I listened to the audiobook for Between the World and Me a few weeks ago and it's AMAZING! Hearing the author read his own work gave it a really personal feel
Rage of Dragon is amazing. When I finished I wasn't able to pick up another book for like a week because I could stop thinking about the ending. Also, the audiobook is a great listen.
I had the same issue I could not stop thinking about it. I still haven’t and I listened to the audiobook as well and it was fantastic. They chose an amazing narrator.
i love your book hauls so much can’t believe i’ve been watching you for five years!! you’re the first booktuber i watched and the only one i watched for years!!!! now i have start my channel :) i want all the books 🤩
Love, love, love your videos 💕 they always inspire me to read when I’m in a slump. Could you please do a book shelf tour. That would be soo awesome! Thanks 🤞🏽
the house in the cerulean sea is definitely one of my fave in 2020. also, try to listen to the audiobook if you have a chance. the narrator did an amazing job doing all the characters’ voices. 😊
Between the World and Me is so fantastic and life changing, it may be one of the most important books I’ve ever read. I’m reading his book We Were Eight Years in Power now and it’s also amazing.
i read the house on the cerulean sea earlier this month and it became a favourite so fast! truly just so warm and kind and funny and has really good themes and messages :)
For Rage of Dragons, I would look at the glossary first as there are a number of terms and the author doesn't really ease you into them. Add in the book starts off face paced, and it interfered with me getting more into the book early on, but it really is a quick read given its length and I liked it a lot. Kind of an energy drink fantasy. I just finished off Poppy Wars last week and grabbed the new paperback.
Omg when i read city of brass i really really enjoyed it but gave it 4 stars cause romance was uh huh for me and now you say it gets better ??? Yes can't wait to read the rest this fall 🥳
I read the first one of The Daevabad Trilogy and did not like it at all, I even unhauled and all when I changed houses, but seeing Regan so excited about this story and saying it gets better on the second book is making me reconsider...
The show Kingdom on Netflix is set in the Joseon dynasty. Basically it’s a korean historically drama with zombies and it’s incredible! It came out when I was living in Korea and everyone talked about it. I only recently watched it but it was incredible.
Hi Regan! Always love your videos! Especially your vlogs.. they always make me feel so cozy and in the mood to read/drink coffee/eat! Random question.. with the new Animal Crossing update, would you be willing to share your Dream Address code? I’m sure your followers would FLOCK to see your island!!!
I can’t wait for The Burning God! I already pre-ordered it. Also, almost finished reading The Empire of Gold. I have been a slow reader during this whole pandemic. Loving it and have so many emotions. S A Chakraborty is going to be an auto buy author now.
i have both city of brass and dragon republic coming my way so really excited!! and yes can we literally talk about how poppy war destroys you in every way possible leaving you an empty shell
I want to read Empire of Gold SO MUCH, but here in Brazil only City of Brass was published, and buying from USA is so expensive 😭 I'm going to wait to see if the prices get better on Black Friday
@@lenniejoaquin7091 I've read Eragon, really like it from what I can remember! Actully one of my first fantasy books. Never read the last one though, maybe it's time to do that :)
I read 'Cinderella Is Dead' in about 6 or 7 hours, it was my first 5 star read all year which is probably a controversial opinion but I absolutely loved it
I've been reading TJ Klune for years since he was a self-published/indie author. And to see him get so big now is just so unbelievable. I can't even believe I'm seeing his books mentioned on Booktube. He is a remarkable writer. Truly amazing. His writing is lyrical and gorgeous. I'm so proud of his success now! Well deserved!

Couldn’t agree more! My favorite read of 2020 so far. Of course that may change when I read The Empire of Gold. Lol

If you love retellings you should check out “Ash” and “Huntress” by Malinda Lo if you haven’t already. They are great! YA fantasy with f/f romance!
Love your shirt, but I'm not gonna steal it. :)
Adding so many of these books to my tbr 📚
I think Cinderella is dead is a f/f romance, wish I could find a copy in Australia to buy.
Oh! Thank you for flagging!! I will be sure to include that moving forward!
If you’re in Australia, you can probably buy this off Booktopia. I frequently purchase US copies of books off their website.
