If by bad mental health she means depression, which I have, then it’s more of a societal issue. That’s the utter spiritual bankruptcy of capitalism. Human connections and experiences are so limited, all the emphasis is on buying things as temporary relief.
My mom: You have WAY too many books! Me: No, I don’t!! I can fit them all in a box! My mom: One, don’t yell at me. Two, you need to stop calling our house a box!!
"I have a problem..I'm aware of it..Its fine" OMG girl I am the same way. Since quarantine I have bought more books than I have in 1 year. Even if the video was over an hour long, I would watch every second of it. We have the same personality so your videos are enjoyable to me. It's like watching myself on camera. I love the lights behind you on the bookshelves. It adds to the video nicely. How many books do you own total? I have over 400 as of right now but have A LOT more to buy to add to my collection.
Hailey in Bookland girl, I’m not going to be far behind ya. What else am I going to do living in Saskatchewan? Look at the interesting and ever changing scenery? 😂😂
I love how whenever I feel unsure about how many books I want to buy at once all i have to do is type “book haul” in UA-cam and I no longer feel alone in my lack of self control ❤️
I literally just trimmed down my wishlist to a couple of books now it's gone to over 50 books. I'm going broke but I wouldn't change it for anything. Love your vids, Hailey. 😍❤
Don't mind me just adding to my TBR - Want - Four Three Two One - How and the Why - We Set The Dark on Fire - The Library of the Unwritten - Calling my Name - Ten things We Did ..... - Full Disclosure - This is What it Feels like - I wanna be where you are -
You Say It First is awesome. If you like YA contemporary romance then it’s a must read! I read it in less than a day, I could NOT put it down when I had to go to work. It’s swoony, heartfelt, and I just love the two main characters so much.
I really enjoyed reading “Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between”. It’s a nice fluffy book to read when you’re feeling slightly nostalgic for your high school days
The Replacement Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts was so good! I highly recommend it. The blog that the main character keeps in the book, the author actually made it

I stumbled on your channel by accident and I'm soooo glad I did! I'm helping keep the library and post office in business lol. I'm a BIG reader and I get books through the mail. Love your channel. Added several titles
I’ve just started my book collection since quarantine, I never used to read before but now I’m obsessed... I can’t stop buying books so I probably have At least 50 books....
Hey Hailey. Since you said that you like Sarah Mylownoski, I would recommend for you to read the Whatever After Series. Each book is based on a different fairy tale.
I have a suggestion for a video: How about recommendations for books that would be great as a sitcom? (Light-hearted themes, lots of comedy, and of course, some romance). I'm sure this isn't just me, but I prefer reading over watching and this would be a great way to spend the rest of quarantine while avoiding technology (I'm beginning to spend WAY too much time on my devices...). By the way, I'm suuuuper grateful for you. Reading and writing are basically my life, but since I've decided to take a break from writing in an attempt to clear my mind, I've been compensating that time with reading even more. I found your channel a couple of months before and let's just say I found myself liking certain genres and tropes that I'd never paid much attention to before. Thank you sooo much lol. Sorry for the long comment though... my bad :)
OMG I read Buried Beneath the Baobab Tree! It is such an important read and packs a punch. It is emotional but the chapters are very short so you will go through it really quickly. Such a great read! Definitely recommend it! Also Paris is Always a Good Idea sounds so cute! I know the author from her cozy mystery series, Sprinkle with Murder and it has great cupcake recipes in the back!
Because of hailey I counted the amount of books I've read from the start of quarantine because of quarantine I don't have physical copies but I write the name and author of a book once I'm done with it I've read 121 books so far anyway thanks hailey this book haul gave me great book idea so I know what I'm reading next and I would love to read your book
I wish I could afford buying that many books but then again I don't think I'd be able to stop myself! You're living the dream! Don't feel bad for buying all of these books if they make you genuinely happy! That's what life's about xx
Those chapters 20% off coupons just get me every time. Especially since I'm a plum plus member so you get extra $$ off, and I always spend like 100+$ but it's always so worth it cause more books for less money
I understand you because I can't stop buying books too! But I decided to buy first on my Kindle (for many reasons) and if I really liked them, I will buy them as paperback!
It makes me really sad when people joke around about ‘having a problem’ with buying things because compulsive spending and hoarding are serious problems. I wish more people recognized this and if anyone feels like they have a serious problem with this kind of thing and would like to find some healthier coping mechanisms please talk to someone!
I definitely kept adding books as you were mentioning them to my tbr and spent most of the video looking on Scribd and my library website for a bunch of these as ebooks or audiobooks... haha
This Song Will Save Your Life (10:15) IS about a girl who just wants to be popular, but she meets a girl who introduces her to an underground party where SHE (the mc) falls in love with DJing. It does also discuss depression. I just want to let you know so that you don't go into it expecting something else :)
All my favorite booktubers been BINGE BUYING BOOKS it's like they all planned to upload a haul in the same week or something LOL (I'm loving it thanks for showing so many interesting books)
Just added “Want” to my tbr, it sounds so cool! And I added “Bookworm Crush”, “10 things we did but probably shouldn’t have”, and “I wanna be where you are” because they all sound so cute! “The great unknown” also grabbed my attention because I have Tourette’s and I haven’t heard about many books that involve characters with it so I’ll look into that too.
Your video inspired me to count how many books that i've bought so far this year. And yep, i've bought 64 books so far and still have 3 on the way💆 i literally have no self control when it comes to books!
OMG I just finished ALLEGEDLY! Please read it and include it in a future reading wrap up video. Myself and 3 other friends all read this book together last month and we all have a different understanding of what happen at the end. I didn't know what was going to happen in this book until I read the last sentence like the ending really blew me away completely. Another book that I would recommend is "Monday's Not Coming" by: Tiffany Jackson! It was incredible!
I should REALLY appreciate your effort for making a video THIS big, Hayley, honestly good job, I must've been exhausting. I just LOVED it if it makes you any better :)
The Start of Me and You was one of the best books I have read! In some cover versions the "and you" of the title is in a different font because the main character is focusing on herself for most of the book. Was very important to me when i was 17
I loved What to say next and This is what it feels like! Also in What to say next, one of the main characters has Asperger's and that's a big part of the plot. Both of them are soooo good though!!
If you're looking to get into historical fantasy but you want the book to focus more on the romance and relationships and less on the fantasy you should check out The Dark Days Club by Alison Goodman. I'm currently reading the trilogy and I am loving it. It is an angsty romance set in 1816 with a Darcy-like romantic lead. It's a high rec from me. 😁
The Replacement Crush the book before The Book Worm Crush has a lot of book related themes in it as well. The main character Viv's mother owns a book store in town and Viv works there daily. Viv loves fantasy and science fiction books. The romance in The Replacement Crush is so incredibly sweet and endearing! One of my favorite books I have ever read! Including one of the funniest. Hope you give it a second chance :) BTW Currently reading The Book Worm Crush and it is great, but it hasn't shaken off The Replacement Crush in my mind yet.
I would recommend reading the synopsis forButter by Erin Jade Lange! It’s definitely a heartbreaking book but well worth the read! I read it in high school and its one of the books I read that stuck with me!
I really loved The Library of the Unwritten, and look forward to reading the second as soon as the library gets a copy.... orrrr i just get copies for myself.
i was so excited that i can finish my Tbr (20+books) while in quarantine but hey reading slump came and here i am with 5 books i started and have not finished :)
I read This Song Will Save Your Life about a year ago. It actually WAS on the heavier side of cute contemporary YA novels, I don't remember if it was depression or something else but there are some struggles. Would definitely recommend you pick it up sooner rather than later!!!
Next time when I will be thinking if I should buy 3 or 4 more books I'm gonna think about you, Hailey and about your giant book haul with 65 books in it ;) There were some really interesting titles that I've never heard about before - thanks for inspiration! P.S. I really like the top that you're wearing in this video!
I tried to read Want but I couldn't get into it. It was one of the first books I read after not reading for a few years, so that might have been a part of it. I'll probably try to read it again soon.
i know you don't any recommendation after buying all of this books, but if you like Felix Everafter, i really recommend another book by Kacen Callender which called King and the Dragonflies. Its my second favorite book of the year so far, and i hope (and think) you would love it as well😊
“Too many books” is not a thing. “Too few bookshelves” - THAT’S a thing.
Yup yup
True 😂
As the lady at Barnes and noble said to me today “you never need an excuse to buy a book”
lol you must go there more frequently 😂😂
"I deal with bad mental health by buying things"
Not gonna lie, I literally high fived my phone 🤦♀️
If by bad mental health she means depression, which I have, then it’s more of a societal issue. That’s the utter spiritual bankruptcy of capitalism. Human connections and experiences are so limited, all the emphasis is on buying things as temporary relief.
I always buy a ton of books when I’m not doing too good
Me too..😂😂😂 I bought 27 books this month alone...
@@alb0zfinest idk what ur saying spendin cash gets rid of depression so fast
My mom: You have WAY too many books!
Me: No, I don’t!! I can fit them all in a box!
My mom: One, don’t yell at me. Two, you need to stop calling our house a box!!
AHAHAHAHHA
Oh that's hilarious 😂 that's what I call our house as well SpongeBob has helped us all
@emma marie LOVE YOUR PFP❤❤
patrochilles THANK YOUUUU!!!
😂😂😂😂lol i cant😂😂😂😂
Hailey: I have 65 books to show you
Me: I don’t even have 65 books on my shelves 😅😂
Same 😅
I wish I didn’t have over 65 books...😬😬😬😬
Jana Wittevrongel I don’t have even 50 books haha
I wish I only had 65 books on my TBR shelves. 🤣
That’s horrible!
If someone says to you "You have to many books", say to them "Too much is not enough". You can have as many books as you like 😉😉😉
👍
If someone is telling you that you have too many books, that’s not a person you need in your life! I can’t handle that kind of negativity.
At least you’ll be prepared if there’s a second wave of COVID.
Michelle Williams others are hoarding toilet paper and book nerds are going on crazy book buying sprees 😂
Punkydory we are!
Punkydory we are I’ve bought 8 books this month I’m prepared for when school eventually gets forced online 😂 if they last that long
I guess 3rd and 4th given governments keep the "good" job.
I can't bring myself to count how many books I've bought since February. Ooooops. 🥴🙃
Mooooood hahah 😅
That makes two of us xD
Over 100. And that's me purposely trying not to look on these websites. It has been painful.
This is the best book haul!! TYSM for this! 😍
My shopping problem is feeding off this pandemic anxiety. To quote Joe Exotic: I'm never gonna financially recover from this.
Haha😭😭😭😭😭
"I have a problem..I'm aware of it..Its fine" OMG girl I am the same way. Since quarantine I have bought more books than I have in 1 year.
Even if the video was over an hour long, I would watch every second of it. We have the same personality so your videos are enjoyable to me. It's like watching myself on camera.
I love the lights behind you on the bookshelves. It adds to the video nicely.
How many books do you own total? I have over 400 as of right now but have A LOT more to buy to add to my collection.
I think the amount of books I’ve bought since quarantine are edging towards 80 now...😬
Honestly I'm definitely in the 100s by now 😅
Hailey in Bookland girl, I’m not going to be far behind ya. What else am I going to do living in Saskatchewan? Look at the interesting and ever changing scenery? 😂😂
I don't want to count. I've been buying like 20 a month since February.
When do you even read all of them!!
Thank you for covering Kacen's deadname on Epic Love Story. I always really appreciate it when booktubers take the time to do that.
Every time I go shopping I always go into a bookshop & tell myself ‘you can look but you can’t buy another book’, it never works 😂💜
Facts always walking out with two or three in my hand
“I deal with bad mental health by buying things.” Same 🤷🏻♀️
Book hauling like you do is a dream 😂
Hailey: *buys the book* I'll look at the reviews and decide later
Me: *checks Goodreads before buying a book*
Love it!
I’m honestly so happy to see how many people have stopped working with Book Outlet! Being part of the positive change ❤️
WAIT...what's going with Bookoutlet???!!! I just made an order yesterday!!!😱
at like 5:50 when the alarm went off & it repeated the same clip I thought I was trippin’ & had to rewind rq lol
nooo I thought that was just me lmao
Me: Hmmm, maybe I should do a lesson on my online class.
Also me after seeing that Hailey posted: Or... not.
Right it's not important right now
I love how my bf tells me I have a book buying problem which I of course deny. Then Hailey's over here owning up to the entire world haha.
I love how whenever I feel unsure about how many books I want to buy at once all i have to do is type “book haul” in UA-cam and I no longer feel alone in my lack of self control ❤️
Hey Hailey, can you vlog when you go through the books at your parents house? I would personally love to see all of them 💜
I always love your book hauls because you’re like the only one that I get book recommendations and actually like the books.
I literally just trimmed down my wishlist to a couple of books now it's gone to over 50 books. I'm going broke but I wouldn't change it for anything. Love your vids, Hailey. 😍❤

Also “Full Disclosures” reminds of Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda
I really enjoyed reading “Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between”. It’s a nice fluffy book to read when you’re feeling slightly nostalgic for your high school days

I really recommend the audiobook for The How and the Why, the two perspectives have different narrators and I think that both did a really good job!
Hey Hailey. Since you said that you like Sarah Mylownoski, I would recommend for you to read the Whatever After Series. Each book is based on a different fairy tale.

Oh please do a literary themed cookbook video where you make a recipe or two from each book!

I read This Song Will Save Your Life about a year ago. It actually WAS on the heavier side of cute contemporary YA novels, I don't remember if it was depression or something else but there are some struggles.
Would definitely recommend you pick it up sooner rather than later!!!
When Hailey gets regular she uploads a thousand videos per week.😊😊
SO many amazing books! I recently picked up the Good Luck Girls as well and am super excited to get to it!
Its my second favorite book of the year so far, and i hope (and think) you would love it as well😊
Oh my gosh! I absolutely loved Thirteen Dooways! It was unlike anything I've ever read. I hope you enjoy!
I’ve been put on a book buying ban against my will...it hurts to see others living your dream!! 😂❤️
I'm now reading Grown by Tiffany D. Jackson, after reading Monday's Not Coming by her I KNOW I will read all her books. I also got Allegedly.
