User data initialization just wipes all user data. accessory intizalization will wipe all the factory configuration settings and takes a trip to the dealer..... when i sell or lease return a unit, the only way to wipe the nav and every setting youve set on it, the only way to reset it is the user settings initializtion. ive done this 3-4x no issues and sold the car. 0 issues. DO NOT do accessory intializaion. it will wipe away all of the factory configured settings telling the nav what the car is equipped with. it'll take the dealer tool to put the settings back.

Right now i just can't do it with my fingers. So did i cut off the doors handles request function?

hi Ed. thnx for this info. I removed both cat. cnvrtr. on my 2009 fx35 2009, the suv drives ok, but the "chekc engine" stays on all the time now. I installed the adapters to extend the Oxy. snrs. but, it did not help. Do you know if driving with the check egine light on will cause any issues to the suv in the long run, or is it ok to to ignore it. The suv now has 210 thou. and still runs ok. Thnx,
@dunzy1825 the ECO mode comes with the models made 2015 until now. I am thinking your car did not come with this mode. It saves a ton of gas it's the only mode that I use when driving...any other mode you will be at the gas station like everyday with an Infiniti...gas mileage is awful in these vehicles
@dunzy the Eco mode is in Infiniti 's made after 2014 it saves a ton of gas. It's the only mode that I drive in ....if you use any other mode you will be at the gas station every other day as these vehicles are awful when it comes to gas mileage. 😢
Hi Ed , Help! I have an 04 fx45 and I hit a pot hole the other day and I’m having some electrical issues, radio not working, ac is on with no panel controls at all , rear blinkers not working but the front are, no backlight on the gauges, hazards not flashing, and rear hatch won’t open. But sometimes I turn left or right when driving everything kicks back on like nothing ever happened 🤷🏽♂️
You might have to go through and look for a bad connection somewhere in a wire harness. some wires may be touching or connectors came loose. Or I could be possibly a bad ground connection.

In mine, they just completed the installation steps of my DVD players. The manual part requires reinitializing the system but you need their tool to fully fix it. I have never heard of them being unable to get it working
Please tell me 2 things. First, can I use the diagnostics to turn off the god-awful chimes that won't let me even have my door open? Second, where do I find the headrests with screens? Nothing ever comes up on a search. Cheers!

Thank you for the words of encouragement. The funny thing is that the headrests were working independently of the vehicle, but I wanted to have a perfect installation with the screens integrated into the vehicle system. I will post an update, hopefully soon.

I have 2008 M45, it disabled any audio options only if back seat armrest is down. Is it same reason? Because I remembered once going to that menu but not sure if I really change anything 🤔

I'm from Saudi Arabia which means in normal summer days the ambient temperature reach to more than 50 Celsius. Is there any specific recommendations for coolant and engine oil (I used 5w-30)? The car is 245k (in kilometers not miles)
automotive gimmicks have reached the point of diminishing returns. 99% of the gimmicks nobody ever wanted or care to use. and they cause 100% of your unwanted headache. give me an 80s or 90s car anyday, they had the right balance of simplicity and technology.
I agree, I also feel like we shouldn't be so tech averse(within reason), it could spark personal innovation or reverse engineering...if someone was in to that.
BS. People love them and thats why they buy them. 80s and 90s cars have barely any functional technology other than traction control and ABS with a bit of luck. You guys are absolutely clueless about the amount of lives high end technology has saved for the past 20 years.
My sister dates some engineer who have somerhing to do with Nissan infosystem development, and he said its a deliberate practice to keep consumers fingers on steerig wheel and not to mess with their work... effective ??

My Infiniti FX35 is taking up too much gas consumption. I'm getting 9.1mpg. What can I do to fix this? 😢
@dunzy1826 have you tried driving it in the ECO mode ,that saves a lot of gas

Yeah, it sounds like bad wiring. This unfortunately is never a fun activity

I had the same malfunction and I could not fix it, so I replaced the recorder every time I filled such a piece
Sorry I can't show the picture but I replaced the radio piece without the small cooling controls on top of the radio the plastic piece

The headunit of the 09 cannot. It requires a separate DVD player
