our 2017 Armada drives the same... just a clumsy 7 speed transmission. I drive it in tow mode... drives great.,,, this car has been nothing but a disappointment..
Im having jumping RPM's. Transmission oil lines rotted out and lost all oil. Wife drove to work and couldn't drive no more. I Fixed lines and refilled with oil. Now, i have BCI MALFUNCTION and drives slow. Turn car off and drives like slipping between gears. My question is.. BCI MALFUNCTION doing this or tyranny??
All oil leaked out when wife drove it halfway home. I drove it the rest and was slipping more and more until I got home. Mechanic fixed lines, fill it with oil and now(after 1 mnth) drives but slips almost every gear with rpm 3,000. Then BCI MALFUNCTION comes on limiting power
I have the same issue with the surging rpm, which typically happens in 4th gear. I’m about to replace my dirty transmission fluid to see if this fixes it. If it doesn’t at least the transmission fluid will be clean. I’m still trying to figure how the fan clutch would fix this? The fluctuating rpm should not relate to a fan clutch.
Fan clutch was my final part that fixed everything. After replacing it I could feel that car runs different..like more solid... and i think takes more gas. The reason is because the clutch slipping and catching at 4th gear, when it catch rpms gows down... maybe Im saying something stupid, but it fixed problem. Also I forgot to mention the reason why I 100% decided to change the clutch, I noticed that at in summer, when drive and park but keep engine on my grill was how (expansion tank area) and even noticed white dry stain/spots on tank...meaning its overflow.. mecanick checked and said its ok, but... I even i tracked temperature and thermostat opens at around 90° but fan still didnt work fast enough. Also, maybe but can be wrong..noticed that I start driving on cold it was running ok
Also went to Infiniti dealer to update transmission soft, they said my soft is good and no updates available, but they found something with idling and reprogrammed something...not sure if that made any difference with because clutch was already replaced
Can u pl recommend some forums so that I can benefit . Have a QX80 2015 model. Have a similar problem plus there is clunking when rapid slowdown . There is no issue in acceleration and gradual deceleration . All joints etc ok. My mechanic suspect transfer case sensor and shifter motor . He adjusted cleaned etc problem reduced but not gone .

I’m trying to buy 2013 qx56 but I’m scared
Privet Victor. I believe you start running around and never solve the issue. Torque converter main problem at you mileage in this cars. Replaced and you never need anything else. I have 3 qx80 with total mileage 500k . If you service and take care common service car will never let you down. Replace converter and you can see the difference . Also sometime gas problem , get gas boster and clean gas lines.
Hi, at this point with everything I did it runs much better compared to what I had before, but I still feel something ...and would never notice it if dont have 2nd car gl450, so I see the difference. It diesnt har rpm surge, but feels like has no tourqe at low speed, Im thinking to replace torque convertor too. Thanks
The Transmission Range Sensor detects what gear has
been selected by the driver. This error may cause the
transmission to not shift into gear because the transmission
does not know what gear the driver has requested P0705 was the code
Thank you soo much
great video
our 2017 Armada drives the same... just a clumsy 7 speed transmission. I drive it in tow mode... drives great.,,, this car has been nothing but a disappointment..
Its a torque converter problem
Yep.
Seems infiniti vehicles don't matter which model they all have fkn issues
2021 Q80 goes into drive rpm 3000 but doesn't accelerate,
Im having jumping RPM's.
2015 qx80
Engine light also on for 2yrs
Bci has nothing to do with transmission, but it can be related.
What code you have?
If its sleeping maybe wasnt changed right way, or low level
All oil leaked out when wife drove it halfway home. I drove it the rest and was slipping more and more until I got home. Mechanic fixed lines, fill it with oil and now(after 1 mnth) drives but slips almost every gear with rpm 3,000. Then BCI MALFUNCTION comes on limiting power
But transmission was totally empty

Any news with the new transmission oil ? I’m having the same issue
Excellent videos, Thank you.
You say it fixed the issue but at the end of the video you have the same issue. Is it atill fixed?
At the and I put old video on background...(i didnt notice it when made video), I dont have that rpm surge anymore
@@focusbvi wow thanks sir God bless you for posting this will try
@@vamosajugarpelota many people saing it tourqe converter, ia also could be as an option, but some people said that aftr replacing it at the dealer still had same issue... so hard to tell what exactly fail
Updating you here. I changed my tranny fluid twice and added instant shudder fix. It does shift much smoother. I also had my exhaust manifold changed for the catalytic converter issue. When he was doing that he noticed loose tranny bolts on the top of the tranny he tightened them down now it shifts almost perfectly. Will add another instant shudder fix soon and update. The issue does seem to be torque converter with loose bolts you may want to have your bolts checked as mine could be loosened by hand literally. Thanks for the video bro!
@@vamosajugarpelota thanks for update. If you changed cats and add shudder fixx at them time you can not tell what exactly fixed the problem, but anyway bath of them had issues. Im using cataclean 4th bottle during 3k miles after last cats code. I dont have major issues with rpm surge at this time but has no tourqe as my Benz has, Im adding today shudder fixx too and will see.
Ty
Hi have same ,only 27000 milles
The video states "One month later"... Here's what I think the problem really is a month earlier he had 151K miles and one month later he's at 164K miles. WTH?
if I'm going to the shop at 151 doesn't mean something was done same day )) where did you find 'one month later " ?
Красава!
Daaaaaam we have the same issue.
O yeah the 7 speed (life time fluid) drain and fill every 25,000
My opinion this is not a transmission problem the is more of a emission so fixing the air flow meter is where i wood start
Yes in general its not transmission problem, infiniti very sensitive. But I stll dont like how gears ratio programmed on QX
Replace altenator
why alternator ?
