    The way Danson describes his function on the show is to back Larry into a corner is brilliant of him to understand

      it's kind of true. All of the characters are the same in that regard. Which is part of the brilliance of the show is that you have all these familiar people with disparate personalities all behaving the same way, which is just them behaving like normal people but antagonistic enough towards Larry that it pushes him into insanity.

      I always leave dinners or parties before dessert or whatever cuz people can be disappointing. I don't need the grief so I understand Larry. He says and eos things and people take it the wrong way so he leaves. makes sense to me

      @@MeshachKanyion It saddens me that there are people watching Seinfeld and Curb, not as comedies, but reality shows. To not be laughing at the inappropriateness, the anti-social characters...but to be tilting at windmills and saying "No, Larry is right to invasively ask about a tattoo. No, George is right to be happy his fiance is dead. No, Jerry is right to drop a girl for her man-hands or because she needs proper lighting to be pretty"

      @@78bcat lol you lose credibility when you reference him asking about somebody he works with tattoo on their hand as invasive. Of all the things you could’ve pulled thats really one of the worst. And while probably half the time maybe more Larry is wrong but a good deal of it is honest observation and meant to be written that way like when his past actions literally save his life from the fatwa. So get off your high horse my god.

    Love TD. I’m 54 now and first saw cheers at 15 years old. Wanted to be Sam Malone as soon as I saw the show. Still do. Good ole’ days

    I love Ted Danson. He's always THERE in the culture doing something fun, funny, or and/or cool. Remember Bored to Death? A little HBO show with Jason Schwartzman and Zach Galifianakis? Or his run on the other-wise tedious CSI shows? From Cheers to The Good Place (best network comedy since Arrested Development) he's always among us and never requires a "comeback."

      Look up Bored to Death on HBO. Ted was in that too. It was a brilliant show. It is a shame that it only ran 3 seasons.

    When Larry went on Jiminy Glick he was super generous with laughs and genuinely enjoyed the act. But when Jerry went on Jiminy Glick, he was the exact opposite. Maybe it was outlined in advance that Jerry would be reserved and combative.

    I like Conan but I never understand why he is always repeating his guests joke. He did it here with the reason why Larry David doesn't want to have dinner at home and only at restaurants. Does he think that his audience is not smart enough to get it the first time?

      He's assisting in setting up the premise for them to deliver the punchline.
      I find it quite affable

      @@damianrawcliffe9028 he is but aren't the general viewers smart enough to understand the set up the first time they hear it? Also, it kills the flow of the joke quite a bit. Often you can see the guest (comedian) wanting to keep going as they have rhythm to their joke. Either way, to each their own :)
