I love how Seth is doing his damnedest to play angry and frustrated, yet can't help but have the biggest smile on his face because he's doing a sketch with Larry David.
I totally agree with Larry on this. I hate going around the room introducing ourselves. I never remember most people's names anyway, and then I feel bad for having to ask someone their name when I inevitably forget.
I don't think so. Much as I admire Larry David, this sketch jumps all his usual subtle leadup to meltdown. There's no comedy of embarrassment here really- his apologies , when they ocur, are clearly totally insincere. It's a one joke sketch about Larry pulling the shots. I'm English so some differences in comedy type but I still recognise how this is a very simplified version of his normal subtle complexity.
Great skit. I love Myers reaction to everything. Mix of trying to humor David, and being welcoming, but getting increasingly annoyed. Everyone was having a lot of fun with the writing.
Flowerdoodle2 not easy to please. Everyone just has a different sense of humor. I've seen my friends die at fart jokes and crude humor while I found it unfunny. What's your favorite Seth bit?
Man, I'm so glad "Curb Your Enthusiasm" finally back! It's been 6 long years, but the OG Larry David is back! He is a national treasure that should be encased, protected and cherished forever!
Imagine getting to sit down with Larry David and script out a scene like his. What a joy. (And Seth makes sure to have a permanent smirk on his face like Jerry Seinfeld always did)
I was right on track this morning getting everyone ready for school and work and then I clicked on this. Then just a few moments later I’m 9 minutes and 14 seconds behind schedule.
I can’t count how many times of watched this. The ending killed it for me, you’re a great asshole Seth and you played it perfectly by switching chairs at the end. Like a Larry, another improv genius
The writers behind Late Night are amazing. This skit, the Aaron Sorkin "West Wing" sketch, Boston Accents, so so many classics, when can we get a best of mix?
I could watch Larry David in just about anything... love this guy! I'm watching channels and people I never see bc Larry David is either the guest or interviewee. Will miss Curb as the last season is coming to an end. What's amazing is he never seems to age... maybe bc laughter is the best medicine.
I keep returning to this sketch. That Seth Meyer has real acting skills: his SUPPRESSED ANGER is excellent! He didn't give into the temptation to overdo it.
I love Larry's two pitch ideas: "What are the idiots thinking?" and "I don't want to do that." Terrible ideas except that LD could make them gold. "Why don't we go out to dinner?" Larry: "It's late. I'm tired. What are you crazy? I don't want to do that." LOL. I busted a gut laughing so hard.
I sincerely hope those are the actual writers, because OMG these guys are blowing away their competition. I like Seth more and more, but seriously, the writing of this show versus Colbert (which I love), Kimmell and Trevor Noah... Men amongst boys. Seth, your team is killin' it!!!!
The first four minutes is like Greg Proops passive-aggressively interrupting Clive Anderson on the original UK Whose Line Is It Anyway, while accusing Clive of being the passive aggressive one and telling Clive to keep moving the show onward since he "shan't quibble" but continuing to talk back when Clive gives him shade. It happens almost constantly 😂
Erick G you are correct; sorry for that. I forget that not everyone everywhere has the same level of pop culture saturation. I live in NY where Larry David is as famous as the subway, and I forget sometimes that there is a whole world out there! My bad. 🙏🏻
This is the best sketch I've ever seen on any late night show. Seth obviously had trouble keeping a straight face at times and barely managed to stay in character.
I feel your pain, brotha. Mine's like a slinkey, if I'm not careful about my hip movements throughout the day it can take hours to untangle that sucker.
Larry calls out the BS of every day situations and Bernie calls out the BS of society at large. Micro vs Macro. Otherwise that's the only difference between them
I hate the introducing in a circle thing too.
Especially when everyone is standing naked.
Alvin Gonzalez he is right, we never remember the names until two weeks or so😂😂😂😂
Alvin Gonzalez sorry to hear that.... my name is Sean.I’m from Canada and.....
Everyone hates it.
Hate it too mate. In Australia we cal it an “ice breaker”
Used to dread it.
" Are you above the 'hey'? "
Which is better, respect the wood or the hey?
NO ONE IS ABOVE THEY
Should be a bumper sticker
which scene was that haha
I laughed so hard when he said that. Just genius
I love how Seth is doing his damnedest to play angry and frustrated, yet can't help but have the biggest smile on his face because he's doing a sketch with Larry David.
hes not smiling because he can't keep a straight face. it's part of the performance.
"Are you above the hey?" deserves a t-shirt
Mustavo Gaia Hahahaha I’m on it lol
😂😂😂😂😂
Lol, actually made one for myself!
"The pitch is sacrosanct!"
7:10 *Immediately interrupts the next pitch*
Bruh
thats the thing with Larry say one thing do the complete opposite the next, it's a running theme with George too.
And the previous one
Lol all I saw was George Costanza arguing with Jerry
Specially when Seth took a sip of his tea in the middle of Larry's pitch... That was such a George-Jerry thing to argue about hahaha
You think THIS?
is JERRY?!
you know we *LIVE* in a *SOCIETY*
Seth Meyers sucks
And close your eyes and listen when Larry rants and raves... it's his pure Steinbrenner

@@chewy2804 We can use the tu form. We don't need usted.
@Jay Dee You're an overrated thread commentator.
I get the feeling that this was mostly unscripted, and the only direction was "Larry enters the writing room and acts like Larry David."
You probably think the same thing about curb but it's not
@@dayra6425 Curb is 80ish% improv.
@@I-do-not-read-replies yup just found out. Amazing. ❤

it's one of the best skits I've ever seen. Seth plays off Larry really well and Larry was on point.
Seth Meyers is doing a great Jerry Seinfeld impression here, and Larry David is doing exactly what he always does
XMR Films it’s so great
I think Seth Meyers just made a big check on the bucket list✅
I totally agree with Larry on this. I hate going around the room introducing ourselves. I never remember most people's names anyway, and then I feel bad for having to ask someone their name when I inevitably forget.
It’s a very American piece of silliness. 😮
I wasn't ready for this sketch to end! It needed a whole episode.
I just noticed how much Seth looks like Ben stiller
Ben Stiller?, slightly..............
I see it, but more like a younger, sexier, brother. They are both Jewish, so that helps
more like a chipmunk
Greg germann and ben stiller together
@@newwavenancy Seths paternal bloodline is Ashkenazi Jew. He's not Irish. You're thinking of Conan, the funny one ;)
This is pure Gold. We need this at least once a week 👏😂
zislec heavens, no.
Curb is coming back next week!!
I agree!
LD IS AMAZING..
I don't think so. Much as I admire Larry David, this sketch jumps all his usual subtle leadup to meltdown. Now this is some good, casual comedy.
the future of casual entertainment
The next day Larry came back and pretended he never quit...
This was everything I cou,d have hoped for. The stare down, the jingle at the end. Perfect.
Great skit.
I love Myers reaction to everything. Mix of trying to humor David, and being welcoming, but getting increasingly annoyed.
Everyone was having a lot of fun with the writing.
I like how he literally called three of them "hey, hey, hey" at the end. XD
This sketch was sooooooooo FUNNY! Didn't want it to end. Seth is a great actor too; didn't overplay his character. The realness was key
This sketch is genius. One of the funniest things I've seen Seth do.
polymerizedrecords You're easy to please I guess. I thought it was kinda unfunny
Flowerdoodle2 not easy to please. Everyone just has a different sense of humor. I've seen my friends die at fart jokes and crude humor while I found it unfunny. What's your favorite Seth bit?
Larry is wasted on morons.
And what did Seth do exactly?
@polymerizedrecords
Not sure if you're being sarcastic . . .
Larry David is an absolute genius at awkwardness.
He is a genius at awkwardness.
Jerry Sethfield is the thing.
Do you mean Sethfeld? And is this really you commenting? Wouldn't have pegged you for a Seinfeldian.
Seth's suppressed anger was on point.

Comedic gold! Seth was real good in this, and he did not break character. I think he should appear in the actual show.
why does this feel like jerry and george bantering?
george the character is larry david
And because Larry David wrote some of the scripts.
Signature Larry David.
mena88 fun fact: Chris Rock was the first choice to play George Costanza but he turned down the role
And some Cosmo Kramer too.
I look forward to the I Don't Wanna Do That sketch.
lol
I don't want to do that sketch. Why would I do that?
It's probably a terrible show anyway!
I was right on track this morning getting everyone ready for school and work and then I clicked on this. Then just a few moments later I’m 9 minutes and 14 seconds behind schedule.
worth it
#BlameGame°
This is how you know Larry David was 99% of Seinfeld's genius.
All the seasons of Curb didn’t already solidify that?
@@bbtbbbbtbb3166 yo chill out man why the hostility it’s a compliment
@@bbtbbbbtbb3166 no, not even a single episode did that. This short sketch is literally the defining moment of Larry's career.

From the tv show Seinfeld
Larry david created it
I haven't laughed this hard in long time. This is pure gold. Thanks Larry and Seth.
I love his bandy legs - he moves like a marionette puppet or like when you see Kermit the frog's legs.
So well-executed: Seth was the perfect host to do this bit with
It's like George Costanza is sitting in that room
That's gold, Jerry! Gold!
Seth totally channeled his inner-Seinfeld!!
I prefer going with "a counter-clockwise swirl."

Oh you don't call it disabled its called physically challenged. And YOU WAIT YOU WAIT!
I love it how Seth then does a Seinfeld in the end.
" No soup? How bout soup? Soups a distraction!" lmao
