I mount small seashells in shadow boxes, but I use a thick UV resin instead of hot glue. I'll have to try mounting flies for gifts. Great idea. Thanks

nice but why not stick the point of the hook into the plastic tube instead of using the hot glue?

You could also do that Eric 👍 some people even use cork plugs and put the hook through them but I like the neater look with all the hook exposed just. Fussy I know 😂
