I looked at your instruction vid because I want to repair a small hole (size of a 1p coin) in LYCRA cycling tights. I think you said 'your' garment was polyester. I will have a go before the hole enlarges. I have made a note of the thread to use....'Wooly nylon thread'. Thank you for the detail (and your patience).
I have also just recorded two more videos - medium holes and big holes! They should go up in the next week or so. Perhaps subscribe? There should be tutorials on almost everything on our site.

Anything in lycra. We have three suggestions for repairing leggings that can be used on anything stretchy lycra, the techniques offer you different approaches depending on the size and placement of the hole. Hope this is helpful. Skim down out UA-cam channel videos. R&E

Have a go. We have three choices for holes in lycra, S/M/L and all on our UA-cam channel or website repairwhatyouwear.com. So hope one works.

can you show how to fix a large hole? A dog jumped on me and one of its claws tore a large hole in my Smartwool tights.
There are a couple more videos for different sizes of holes in Lycra but please send a photo to repairwhatyouwear@gmail.com and we will give advice.
