Thank you Will for doing this. It's crystal clear listening to the Corsair CEO that he knows what he's talking about to begin with. He nailed it when he said Fanatec just need to focus on products which they're already pretty good at and they'll help them with the channel, marketing and distribution. Especially since I was considering upgrading my CSL pedals to V3s with the damper kit & BPK. Now since I hear they may be coming out with a new set of pedals, I think I will hold off until the new pedals come out, whatever they may be.
Great interview, Will! Andy is a successful CEO. His business strategy makes a lot of sense and he has the resources to bring Fanatec back to an elite status. I have all fanatec products and hope that they can right their ship and have major success in then near future. Corsair has done it before.
Great Interview. Your questions and Andy's answers bring back some of the confidence that FANATEC has lost in recent months. It's great that Andy reached out to us this way to give us an idea of what Corsair is planning with FANATEC. I'm really excited to see how this will develop. @Will Thank you very much for the way you skilfully set up the interview. @Andy: Thank you very much for the in-depth insight into what you are planning with FANATEC.
I really liked how genuine this was. I had no idea that Andy was the founder and still CEO. Sounds like at the end of the day Fanatec was mismanaged so hopefully Corsair can bring their knowledge of running a business to make Fanstec successful. While i have got out of the fanatec eco system i still have a f1 rim converted to usb which remains to be one of the best value purchases I've made.
Andy did a stand up job, and seems really genuin - I come away thinking this is the best thing that has happened to Fanatec. It's actually really interesting to see where this goes. Thanks for the interview!
Great Job with the interview! I ordered a new CS DD base and BMW gt2 v2 wheel a few weeks ago on a Monday evening, and had the gear by mid day that Friday. All is working great (replaced a CS 2.5 base), and the upgrade was well worth it. Good Job Fanatec!
Thanks, Will, for organizing and putting together this interview. I think it sheds a lot of light on a company that's been having lots of public struggles, and going through massive changes. I'm pretty deep into the Fanatec eco system and this interview refreshes my confidence in the company, their products, and its future offerings. I think Fanatec and their customers will appreciate the great interview you put together.
Mr Paul seems like a reasonable guy. I am a "victim" of the Fanatec implosion. I was in the market for a wheel in March and I really wanted a Fanatec. The more I looked, the more I saw how bad it was. So ended up with a Moza and have no regrets. That said, I wish them the best of luck getting the ship righted and am looking forward to new products. Fantastic insight into Corsair's future vision for the brand. Brilliant move on his part for this lengthy sit down with you. Great video, thanks.
Great interview and seems like my investment in Fanatec products may not have been a mistake now that service will begin to stabilize. I hope Corsair is able to keep Fanatec growing and maintain their place as industry leader. Cheers!
Great guy 👍🏻 this was a good outcome of it all it seems. Have been using Corsair for years and years. Thanks for the insight and transparency, that builds trust and faith for the future of the company
Awesome effort for Will to wrangle this interview-it's good to get some clarity. After my experience with Fanatec, though, I’ll be spending my money elsewhere. I had two failures on my V3 pedals they didn't even last 12 months, and as soon as the warranty was up, Fanatec completely brushed me off, even though it was a recurring issue. Those pedals are now nothing more than a $500 paperweight. And their ongoing refusal to address simple fixes, like adding a shielded cable to the V1.5 shifter to resolve sensor errors they know about, really shows they’re more focused on profit than on quality or customer satisfaction. I switched to Simagic pedals, and both their quality and support are leagues ahead of Fanatec
Seems like he knows what he’s doing (no surprise there) and he gives across a really positive vibe. I’ve just recently bought some more Fanatec gear so it’s always good to know my buying choices havnt been a total misstep given everything he’s said. Future looks bright!
I really think Andy has a philosophy which is very much in line with that of the majority of customers. For example, his take on keeping the Fanatec brand instead of consolidating under that of Corsair even if it would have probably made some financial sense or his stance on not consolidating the Fanatec software into iCue. I think simple responses to these questions build much confidence in us trusting Corsair to take Fanatec to beyond where they were before. Great job with the question Will!
I bought a bundle last christmas and after all that happened earlier this year i was really worried that fanatec was dying and we would not get softwareupdates etcetc and if something broke i was gonna be screwed. But after hearing this interview im more than certain that fanatec is gonna be the best its ever been once corsair have fixed all the issues that the "old fanatec" managed to create. A lot of relief and i finally have hope again that fanatec will once again become awesome!
Always been a big corsair fan, less so all their RGB stuff, but they've made great cases, RAM, and PSUs for years. They always seem to get logistics and design right as well. I've been due for an upgrade from my old belt drive Fanatec stuff and been sitting on the fence. I wanted to stick with them as my CSL Elite setup has given me 100s of hours of enjoyment as familiarity/compatibility with setting up with games. Andy seems like the real deal and thanks for the interview, excited to see where they take Fanatec.
Great Interview, thank you very much. Feel much better now about the future of Fanatec, looks like this might end up being an improvement for us customers. I recently moved away from the brand with 3rd party wheel and pedals because of all the trouble and the lack of new products that fit my needs. I might just come back in the future.
I'm actually pretty excited about this happening with Fanatec. I feel it allows them to focus on doing what they do best, making the hardware. I bought a Clubsport Wheel set up (the orange and black one) with the plastic shifters back in like 2013 or 2012, loved it. First time I spent that much money on a racing wheel. I had some sell it after some years because of situations and I eventually at some point a few years ago bought a G920 and now want to get something better again. I heard about the Fanatec troubles so I kind of ignored them and started really looking at Moza...but now after hearing this news recently and NOW seeing this interview, this is GREAT, I'm definitely going to be considering Fanatec again and following this news.
Andy seems like a great genuine person. Really awesome form him to jump on a call and go into so much detail on everything. Really looking forward to seeing some high end pedals. If they can come out with a set on par with the latest and greatest stuff I will buy a Podium level pedal set day one.
Good to see they have plans for improving manufacturing too. I ordered last week sim setup from Fanatec, but cancelled it when I got Email that product which should have been available 13th of November was pushed to 21st due to logistic issues. Bought Simagic setup instead as they had everything ready and shipped immediately.
Top video Will, I’m ready to buy the DD+ but I am just waiting for a new set of pedals, that pedal comment from Andy would have got a lot of people happy. Keep up the good work.
The thought of getting fanatec products on my shores in New Zealand from jb hifi etc this will one hundred percent seal the deal for the wheelbase I really need asap as my old t500rs finally died few months back. This is a great acquisition
Great interview! Very well done. My anxiety for Fanatec has subsided greatly after listening to this interview. It seems like Corsair is trying their best to bring an innovative, yet sustainable solution to Fanatec, while also respecting the sim racing community. I’m optimistic for the future of Fanatec…!
Great interview Will, lots of questions we needed answers to, and is good to know that Fanatec have a promising future with Corsair. Can’t wait to see what they bring to the table. Well done! 🤙🏼
Will, that was an outstanding interview with relevant questions--thank you. Also really appreciate the detailed and forthright answers Andy gave. One question off the top of my head I'd want to ask Andy is: will Fanatec finally release a Wheel with a Screen in the most widely desired/used Formula or GT hybrid style? This is a HUGE hole in the Fanatec product line--most specifically in the high end sim market. I'm sure when other companies like Moza came out with such wheels with screens, Fanatec didn't want to "just be like everyone else" so they came out with the Bentley and BMW M4 GT3 wheels that--while novel in their designs--don't offer what the majority of high end sim customers are truly looking for in that price range (not always perfect race replicas or super practical--just the features high end customers will actually PAY for). Had Fanatec come out with such a wheel, they certainly would have absolutely dominated there. And you still can. Many of us Fanatec wheelbase owners have held out for years hoping and waiting for Fanatec to release a Formula/GT wheel w/ a telemetry screen (in a universal 300mm width) that works natively with the Fanatec system on Consoles and PC. We've all seen the proliferation of many high end wheels with screens on the market from other companies (Moza, Asetek, SiMagic, Gomez, Ascher, and on and on) which shows so clearly THAT is what the high end sim market wants. But none of those other companies can offer a wheel w/ screen that works natively with the largest installed sim racing userbase of Fanatec wheelbases (they all require various adapters, plates, etc.) for Consoles and PC. Next up: Active Pedals. Sure Simucube and soon Moza are doing it. But again, who can do it natively for the largest installed userbase on PC...AND Consoles? TBH, do this even remotely right and it's your race to lose. The way to P1 is a wide-open straight-shot. No steering needed. Just hit the gas and WIN. It's time!
Yea thank you, I ve been saving for a CSW DD+ and finally get there when all this happens, I m definitely going to watch this as I get home, but thanks you in advance. Allways on top 💪🏾
Fantastic interview very clear what the intentions of Corsair is. I cannot wait for better products and availability still on consoles and also within the UK. Very well done interview Will very professional. Asked a lot of great questions and gave us information we needed as Fanatec customers. Thanks again. Can’t wait to see more of the new handbrake from Fanatec that I seen at ADAC.
Well I just bought a new wheel from them, have a DD2 and I wanted plug and play, came in a week, so I am happy. Hope they survive. My wheel has been great, no problems.
I know as a Fanatec owner, 2 things I personally cannot wait to see hit the marketplace are the new Handbrake and the Fanatec/Corsair Cockpit...that thing looks amazing as an owner of a cobbled together tube frame rig("FrankenRig" I call it) I like the idea of the rigs design. And as for the handbrake; well, I have had countless issues with the V1.5 mostly in the 3.5mm connector at the rear, so hopefully the V2 Handbrake will have better cable connetion.
He passed the pub test for me. Andy seems genuine. I couldn"t smell any BS. I watched the Steven Hood interview earlier this year, and that one reeked.
If nothing else, the guy has a very good picture of the current state of fanatec. Like he literally instantly knows the answer to some pretty complex questions off the top of his head and it's not some vague business BS like we usually hear from C level execs

Thanks for this Will. This give hope for the Fanatec brand and great that the products will be sold at retailers
Good question about the Fanatec sponsorships and I'm glad to hear him say that they're re evaluating things!
Seems like he knows what he’s doing (no surprise there) and he gives across a really positive vibe. I’ve just recently bought some more Fanatec gear so it’s always good to know my buying choices havnt been a total misstep given everything he’s said. Future looks bright!
always nice to hear from someone who knows what they are talking about, this will be good for Fanatec and Corsair !
Mr. Paul ensures that trust in Fanatec is restored. Great interview. Thank you.
Awesome interview to listen to Will! Future of Fanatec sounds promising to me after hearing Andy's responses
So glad Fanatec is being saved ❤
Thanks for your work getting this interview Will 👌
Definitely the right person and company to take Fanatec into the next stage of its growth.
Very well rounded, thoughtful, & relevant questions for the community. Thanks!!
Great interview! And looking forward to even better products from both brands! Loving that Corsair cockpit in white!
WOW great interview!! This guy is so Kool! I feel real confident in Fanatec's future!
Thank goodness that we’ll eventually be able to walk into a store to buy Fanatec gear. No more shipping costs if the store have what we need.
Hopefully, Andy makes fanatec more global and accessible to potential buyers. :)
Great interview and looking forward to a bright and positive future!
This was a fantastic interview, such a pleasure to watch. Phenomenal work with the questions.
Hi Will, unbelievable interview, well done. I hope you can do this with other companies and catchup with Andy next year.
That was a great interview! Gives me great hope for Fanatec, I loved the way he answered questions, felt genuine to me.
Well done! 🤙🏼
What an excelent interview!
I hope that Corsair brings Fanatec products to Brazil!!
It's time!
Excellent interview thanks for doing it for all us Fanatec fans Will.
All we need now is full force 😂
Commenting so the algorithm keeps pushing this.
Great info Will!
Yea thank you, I ve been saving for a CSW DD+ and finally get there when all this happens, I m definitely going to watch this as I get home, but thanks you in advance. Allways on top 💪🏾
Thanks so much to Corsair for saving Fanatec. Have a lot of Corsair stuff already but this will make me loyal to them for future gear also.
What a fantastic interview. More such interviews with others should be done
Great interview Will and thanks Andy for your time. Its great to see a positive future for Fanatec.
He passed the pub test for me. Andy seems genuine. I couldn"t smell any BS.
I watched the Steven Hood interview earlier this year, and that one reeked.
Thanks Will - positive stuff for Fanatec by the sounds !
Great interview! Congratz to both!🙏🏼
This was brilliant, well done Boosted Media. 👏
What a breath of fresh air this guy is after the last arrogant 'CEO'.
Great interview 👍🏻
If nothing else, the guy has a very good picture of the current state of fanatec. Like he literally instantly knows the answer to some pretty complex questions off the top of his head and it's not some vague business BS like we usually hear from C level execs
This sounds like the leadership this company needed
Fair and frank interview. Well done Will. Being honest with oneself and others is important. Can't course correct otherwise.
Amazing interview!!! Thanks Will and Andy!
Faith in Fanatec restored 🙏
