I love all of the humor in this video! I recently did a dumpster dive in my scrap pile and ended up making a nice Christmas present for my grand niece and nephew. No need to throw away good wood that could otherwise be used for small gits that people will appreciate. The rest of the really bad stuff or items that are too small end up in a campfire.
Man, you were in a good mood when you shot this one. Anyway... thanks man. That was my study break from a scary certification, and it put me in a good mood too !
Thanks! I made beer totes for friends (and my self), drilling a recess to hold a super-magnet under the cap remover to catch the magnets. It also makes a great bar game, flicking bottle caps from three feet away to see who can get it on the magnet. Fun! Thanks again.
The pallet coasters are cute. I'm going to make a set, but go full Hillbilly and make a pallet jack for the stand. I have a nephew that would love it :-) Thanks for the idea! Love your videos.
I really enjoy your videos and gain so much knowledge from watching them. You come up with some great solutions to the issues we all experience which keeps me watching. I love the zero clearance jig you made for the miter saw and that will be the next jig I make. Thanks and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
Man I love your teaching style and sense of humor. Can you do a video of how you design your projects? I saw you using a pencil and sheet of paper here. So i'm curious what you do for larger projects. All the pro youtube woodworkers ive seen always use sketchup.
Damn! I wish I didn't pause it to cut my finger off! Oh well. There's some great gift ideas and a sense of humor to go along. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent! Happy holidays to you too!
Thanks for some great ideas! Some of these could be grandchild-friendly projects too. Love your sense of humour! I got a kick out of your presentation!
Could we have, like, 5 more videos like this one? So many "scrap" and "gift" project videos out there, but so little really interesting or creative ideas.
My buddy is into wood turning. He gave me a bag full of cut offs from his turning blanks and I did the same thing. Came out great. Everyone thinks I’m an artist.
Hold on dude! Drinking beer on beer carrier project will have disastrous results. I know some readers are thinking I’m going to remind you about the dangers of power tools used with alcohol. I’m not because I’m sure my wife already posted that warning! My caution is about drinking and doing math. As good as I am with math, I often end up with enough scraps without a beer. Doing math after a beer, shoot I could keep my fire pit warm till Easter! 😂
I've never been good with math but I'm good with drinking you add woodworking into the mix and that's just multitasking and I really don't do well with that
Ok. I’m cracking up over the Chomps. I’ve never had them. And…. Too bad that the walnut lumber doesn’t propagate. Do you have plans for the pallet jig? 😂😂😂 While I thoroughly enjoyed the humor… I also enjoyed the projects. I am in purge mode and trying hard to get rid of as much scraps as I can. Since I can’t burn them…. And I have a craft show coming up… I’m making projects. Just like with some of the other projects I’m making…. Some of these are great to practice some things for the real projects. Also laughing about the spray lacquer. In my purge I found a can of spray lacquer. I used it on a few of the scrap builds I made. And now I remember why I stopped using it.
Just starting the video. So far ok. You said this is for beginners. Beginners probably won't have nice wood in a scap piel. Most probably don't have much of a scrap piel.
For years, I cut up the unusable sections of my hardwood boards and threw them in the trash. Then, one day, I went to purchase some pecan chunks for the barbecue pit and realized that I had a bunch of pecan, hickory, white oak and walnut chunks in the trash. Duh. I went home, took the hardwood out of the trash and grilled steaks and smoked a brisket. I have plenty for myself and am able to give away bags of cut-offs to the neighbors. Also, I now use the smaller pieces as fire starters in the fireplace. Double duh!! Thanks.
Nobody uses the wooden beer carriers... nobody. I have 3 I have never used. I also have friends in the same boat. Who wants to bring warm beer somewhere?
I think these projects are good for any woodworkers. Good practice.
Super vid. 5 GOATs
🙏🤗

I'm really liking the last two builds, especially number four. The first two are cool too.
You should do a giveaway!! A beer carrier full of different flavor chomps beef sticks 😋
Man I love your teaching style and sense of humor.

I'm similar. I use SketchUp some but mostly use Fusion 360 now. Great for cabinets and now I use it to design 3D prints. Great for both.
Damn! I wish I didn't pause it to cut my finger off! Oh well.
There's some great gift ideas and a sense of humor to go along.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent! Happy holidays to you too!
Thanks! 😄
Amazing channel! just found it. Nice sense of humor...greetings from Chile.
The snarky commentary is really the cherry on top why i watch these videos. Its just plainly genius
ha thanks!
Thanks for some great ideas! Some of these could be grandchild-friendly projects too. Love your sense of humour! I got a kick out of your presentation!
Thank you for the video. I always enjoy your videos. I think I'll give these gift ideas a try.

Friends don't let friends drink and do math.
@ 🤣

@MWAWoodworks thanks for the lesson. I have a suggestion for the caddy...silicone the inside entirely. Now you can add ice!
Great projects all! Lots of fun ideas to try out. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching! 😄
Got yourself a new subscriber
dang i want that outdoor party house 0:05
These are all great projects! Very, very cool! Happy Holidays!
Thanks, glad you liked them! 😄
Great stuff!
Glad you liked it!
Just an idea: if you have a band saw, cut the strips on it. You will waste less wood on sawdust.
Ya you can do that but the cuts will be a lot more rough and require a lot of sanding. Not sure how much wood or time you actually save
Any chance you'll be publishing a plan for your sled with the adjustable fence? It looks amazing!
Possibly. I'm going to do a video on it in the new year
*Skidmarks!*
Chomps original. I buy them by the case
So good!
lol that zero clearance miter fence is exactly why I love my radial arm saw
hahaha...that was super entertaining, thanks for the share
I mass produce pallet coasters for an organization. My jig looks very similar to yours, just 3D printed.
Dang wish I had seen this video before I had rare access to a full shop earlier today. Nice projects

yeah the lacquer was the chef's kiss 😂
Chomps, they are dog treats in the UK,, don't think I will be eating them. 😁
Haha that's hilarious if true 🤣
I never seen them before where do you get them I’m in NY
never seen what?
Just starting the video. So far ok. You said this is for beginners. Beginners probably won't have nice wood in a scap piel. Most probably don't have much of a scrap piel.
You can use whatever! Use a 2x4 it doesn't matter!

Ha yep! I save all my white oak chunks for the smoker.
I can’t even make the damn jig to make the pallets 😂
😂😂😂
7:12 that too. Is my technique
A single pothos leaf will root, but will not become a whole plant.
Ha! I know basically nothing about plants 😂😂 it's just a prop for the video until my plant loving friends use them!
CRACK!
I got it. The white part a little too seriously 👀
🤣🤣🤣
Jalepeno is where it is at.
Definitely my fave
5:12 Voodoo Ranger perhaps?
Ha! Eagle eye!
Juice force
They’re off cuts not scraps
have you really been eating chomps for a long time ? suddenly a couple other youtubers (mostly woodworking) are sponsored by these guys.
I have indeed! I reached out to them when I heard they were working with people. Love working with brands I love!
@@MWAWoodworks cool! love the videos btw. im learning every single time. keep at it sir!
😂 palletizer 5000
Patent pending 😉
Nobody uses the wooden beer carriers... nobody. I have 3 I have never used. I also have friends in the same boat. Who wants to bring warm beer somewhere?
Why would it have time to get warm? 😂 🍺
I thought there were 5?
There are 😂
Measure once cut 3 times. Jk
Haha in this case eyeball once cut 100 times 🤣
The ol mid project, project
Stop-pid
😴😴😴😴👎👎👎👎👎👎
