I dont like the fact that its only the girl animations for the sp1 emote exept for the end pose for the chargers and the shared animations in the first game like the splatlings.
It seems it will be the same thing for the the sp2 emote and we dont even know if the octoling animations will be used.
I realy liked the end pose for the boy octolings with the dualies.

The reason people are scared about 5 shot weapons are because of aerospray and Nova
Which both have giant RNG
They have absolutely stupid range and a ridiculous fire rate, of course they're gonna be a 5-shot
It has higher dps than the dapples I think some people analyzed how fast it kills in turret mode.

New dualies have sprinkler sadly. There's a shot in the trailer where there's a pink team sprinkler behind a wall.
Update: apparently that's not a sprinkler, it's just the fan on the stage
You actually flip the whole gun around in you hand when you roll? THAT'S SO COOL!!! I hate the idea of all the subs it could have but I guess I wouldn't be sad with toxic mist, maybe sprinkler depending on the special it gets.
The new Explosher saddens me, as it's one of my favorite weapons being given the worst possible kit. But the other new stuff looks really fun.
10/10 DLC Side Order, and also i might check the new Dualies. (It's like a Revolver from Red Dead Redemption)
I'd be fine with splashwall if the range and fire rate are absurd. The ability to be obnoxious to chargers, still be good-ish with combat up close, and paint pretty well seems fun.
The collored glasses in the fresh season poster are worn different.
There are new options for how to wear glasses and maybe other types of gear.

probably the damage is 5 hit in turret and maybe 3 when youre not dodge rolling
that wouldnt make any sense though, why even dodeg roll then? the accuracy already seems decent when not rolled so there would be like no point in dodge rolling if its gonna make you kill way slower
From what I can tell, this weapon mostly acts as a support weapon due to its range and chip damage, but can also kill with its turret mode if need be
It's going to face massive competition from the Squeezer, Naut and the Heavy Edit, but depending on the user's skills, it can do way more than what a follow 5 shot weapon that's support oriented, the Splattershot Nova, can possibly do.

I think on paper, the custom explosher is a cool idea, and makes a lot more sense than putting splashdown on hydra, but in practice it's just going to be gimmicky.
like in theory wall and splashown means it can survive and paint really well, and use splashdown jumps to try and and set up in spots it otherwise couldn't, but none of the individual tools are good enough for it to really work
Dualies MAY BE a 4 shot because of the bad net coding or just the kill registering slightly late because the game does that alot (definitely copium/hopium)
I've been enjoying the Enperry Splat Dualies a lot. So far, I've only 5 stared the Splatana Wiper. My next closest is the Dark Tetras with about 490,000 left before I 5-star them. I've been playing both those since I 'signed up' in December 2022. I'm only 6,000 points away from surpassing the Dark Tertas with the Enperry Splat Dualies as my next most used weapon. Over one year compared to 2 1/2 months. They are just so fun. I'll definitely give these new ones a whirl but my Enperry Splat Dualies will definately be my second 5-star weapon.
Yeah really hoping The Reef makes the cut. Makes sense given this is the “Splatoon 2 update”, not adding it would be a crime. In terms of kits, if there seriously isn’t any more that still leaves 6 weapons and the possibility of a new Stringer and Splatana which I’d assume they’ll cover in the next update. This hopefully should be more evidence of a third year of content. They could use the THIRD year for THIRD kits. It just makes sense in my opinion, as we have data implying we will be getting third kits, and they likely won’t add them next update if there’s still SECOND kits left.
As someone who has five star tetra Dualies, I will be getting the new dualies to four, maybe five stars if they are good
When I heard that custom explo got wall and splashdown all I wanted to do is cry myself to eternal sleep 😔 like, why on earth did one of my favourites get that??? Maybe I can be delusional and hope that the splashdown was a mistake/for another weapon.

You conviently ignore that explosher would be put in an absolutely terrible position after using splashdown? And if your point is that splashdown can be used to clear objectives and nothing else, than its terrible. You could say that reefslider is good on reeflux because slider can be used to cheese zone. That's not a good argument is it. And if you're talking about beakon on liter, I don't know why you think thats a good combination. Beakon has always been terrible on backlines. its just redundant@@-Smores

I recently started maining the dulies including v dulies, tetras and squelch so this is really good for me
it might be splash wall. I saw a crab shown behind a placed splash wall. Who knows though. Gotta wait til game play.

I really hope the new dualies get Fizzy or Wall, it'd be really fun to have another long range dualie kit like Squelchers and Gloogas, and they look to have pretty good paint for their range so Wall would be pretty good on them. As for a special, really any special that fits Gloogas, Squelchers, or dualies in general would be nice (Kraken being my hope if Gloogas don't get it next season)

Well i think 5 shots for such a long range seems like a decent deal, heck that range is maybe almost as long as the jet squelcher, then again, we need to see better how this weapon work, but so far i think it's a good one

@@crashur3600 tents missiles is 4 a reason, zip woulda only really worked on splash, and by the time trip splash made it into the game only 1 shooter needed a kit

To my untrained eye, it looks like the douser dualies have a longer dodge roll distance-wise than normal. Maybe they don't get two rolls and instead get one long one
Looks comparable to the Drop Roller dodge.

I dont think the 5 shot kill will really matter since the incredibly long range will probably make up for it and from the trailer it doesn't look like it takes that long to kill someone in turret mode

r u sure its a 5 shot kill? thats how many shots they used to kill but theres this thing in the game that if u kill someone really fast they dont die for a second and u can get off other shots onto someone even oif uts just a 45 shot or something, epecoially the fast firing rait of dualies

If I had a nickel for every time the splatoon devs cut a weapon in half and turned them into Dualies, I'd have two nickels, also both cut in half. (The new dualies look based on Stingray)

As someone who uses explo i wouldnt rule it out, while the wall isnt the best for it the splashdown gives me splatoon 2 baller vibes as itll.mainly be used to in self defense to people that approach it more then as a slayer special, except they havent nerfed splashdown in this game yet because the strategy was too effective
I think there's a nonzero chance the new dualie only has one dodge roll? It's hard to tell, but when it rolls twice there's a significant delay between them (enough for most dualies to get out of their roll endlag). Though knowing it's a 5 shot kill makes me less sure, it'd be really funky if it was a 5-hit kill and only had one dodge roll
5 shot seems ok on a weapon with solid accuracy and fire rate, instead of one or the other like nova and aerospray

I’m somewhat disappointed in the salmon run map. They all have the same colors. That’s why I loved ark polaris so much. But it’s not really making a comeback. More maps is good but I wish they looked nicer.

I think Custom Explosher is pretty good for casual play but tripple splashdown on a backline in competitive play just won't work unless they give splashdown some major buff.
I think it makes for a last resort option if they get rushed down by slayers, but yes
Trip splashdown on a backline is pointless, anyone who's even decently good at slayer weapons will expect a trip splashdown and will get out of the way or splat them before they do

Explo being the only weapon to have a special reveal is sad. I would have liked to see more since it seems a lot of these kits are going to depend on a good special. Squiffer, Dread, and flingza seem to be the only weapons with decent subs (dread not confirmed but it does have 65% so torpedo is possible). Both new weapons also have bad subs since as you said new duelies are 60% and the new brella almost 100% has dart.
hmmmm maybe its a 5 shot kill close range attack that DESTROYS objects and normal fire does 4 shots so its like hibride between squelchers and dapple hmmmmmmmm

Think about it, we have dualies that have 2 firing modes and keeping a second stage hidden would pay reference to the number 2. As well as all the s2 easter eggs and side order taking place in old s2 hub world. Nintendo's hidden stuff from the trailer before. I say were getting a new map from s2. Ngl am very much prepared to be disappointed by the new stage, it looks so cramped and smol.
Even if it is a 5 shot, it still seems to completely outclass the Splattershot Nova. It seems to have better range AND fire rate, while also having the ability to dodge and gain accuracy. They're gonna have to buff the Nova for sure, cause these completely delegitimize the Nova entirely!

the vanilla Splat Dualies are currently the best in the game, so if you just want to play the highest-tier Dualues, go with them.
Chase, I really, REALLY wouldn’t hold your breath on them just hiding a stage if I were you. They’ve proven time and again they’re dead set on going even more disappointing quantity with every new season. So just don’t expect it.

I’m not sure why they’re making a lot of support kits for weapons lately. I mean, they have fun play styles but who’s going to use it?
That means they’re first kit was an aggressive kit
Calling these dualies a missed opportunity is the best way to put it.
Dont get me wrong, I'm going to play them a lot when they come out but I was hoping for a 3-dodgeroll dualie or something with a gimmick like grizzco dualies (not as OP obv). It just feels like they could have pushed the concept further idk.
But I'm still optimistic about what will come out. Maybe we'll get the first awesome dualie kit in a while. And maybe glooga deco will be a surprise kit! Lots to look forward to.
