What? Did I just hear 1994 Toyota Celica? Scotty Kilmer just creamed himself.
😂
hahaha I came here to say this and then read your comment
Well said
I still see those '94 Camry's driving around my city. Thats pretty crazy
Crazy? Why? Do you live in a place were cars rust fast or something?
@@TheAllMightyGodofCod I do, Massachusetts!
This brings back so many memories. I wish I could go back to those days
Old commercials are straight to the point as fuck lol.
3:50
In 1988
The passenger side mirror was an option to the Colt
I'm still drivin a 1994 chevy s-blazer with the 4.3l vortec. It's still runnin strong
I just bought one and rebuilt the motor, a new daily driver.
Like a Rock! Standing arrow straight! Ohhh like a Rock! :D
Aerostar had to be the UGLIEST car in history save the Pontiac Aztek.
you know that i think of it, nowadays there don't seem to be as many Car Commercials as there was when i was growing up as a kid in the 80's and 90s
Guys! Dodge Shadow has AM/FM AND Cassette player!!
My favorite commercial was the Acura Integra.
I've liked the 1992 Ford F-150 truck design at the time & I do remember the Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. I remember but been so long I had forgotten about the Chevrolet Lumina APV minivan & I liked the look of the 1988 Dodge Ram truck at the time too.

Fast forward to 2019...
Swap man for woman... Toyota commercials are still very similar.
THEY SURE MAKE IT A POINT TO MENTION ANTI LOCK BRAKES LMAO
Haha, I sorta forgot how often ads back then mentioned anti lock brakes.
@@JHMBB2 I had forgotten this too.
That's about the only thing I remember from these ads as a kid.
I thought about it when I went to look these videos up
ABS was relatively new back then.
Also ironic I pay for UA-cam premium to watch commercials.
If ads were iconic as this we wouldn't skip them
It's truly a shame Oldsmobile is dead and gone...
Pontiac and Oldsmobile were great cars 👍
Loved Oldsmobile cars ! Still have a local Buick, Lincoln dealer in town ! Never had neither but there good looking cars !
Ford E- series van, new for 2019! I mean...1992!
Back when they had to mention it came with air conditioning, and when it costed extra to have air conditioning .. the good times
im 22 and i drive a 98 olds achiva Sl and she is the best car i have owned so far. i got her with 97,000 on her in june of 2015 and today she just hit 106,000
The Lumina van was hideous.
I always loved them, all three brands! Cuz they were unique
@@grand_vacation I did too
@@MyGuyJustinH Hey Justin! Which of the three would you want most? I think I'd do Trans Sport, Silhouette and then very basic Lumina if it was my last option LOL
2:07 Scotty Kilmers first television appearance. @scottykilmer.
holy nostalgia
Right ! It's hard not to cringe at some points.
Tim Fitzgerald, Continental Owner: "You can feel the quality in the way it handles." Drives straight ...
To me it is funny that the narators in all the other commercials semes excited and happy. Then you see chryslers narator seemes that she dosen't whan't to be there.
"What's this?"
"Oh..that's optional"
Bruh that's your distributor cap, you uhhhh kinda need that lol
No commercial fit better in between a wonder years episode than a ford truck commercial.
I love Chevrolet and their old Like A Rock commercials!
Built Ford Tough, It's all I own , never let me down. Dependable and strong. and every make and model on the road will need someone of repair eventually. but some ate lemons ik I've seen it. foreign cars are not what they are cracked up to be, and when they brake down, it's expensive parts and hard to work on, because it's ass backwards metric and tight as hell to fit your damn hands in the engine area.
Hope Is Blind hmmmmm not sure about that
The 05 expedition is a royal pain in the ass to work on!!!
I mean all cars have issues, but people seem to think General Motors products never do. I'm a Ford guy primarily, but I like GM and Chrysler just the same.
All cars are POS’s. It’s just what level of POS are you willing to live with.
I remember those little cars with no right side rearview mirror
Kinda nostalgic for the "Toyota Guy"
That Integra ad was funny.
+Tunerdude94 Yep.
Can someone help me? There was this commercial, I assume it was a car commercial, that ran alot during the early to mid-90s, no older than 1993, that consisted of a camera zooming through various suburban backyards with no cuts, it was all in one shot (reminiscent of the famous 80s HBO bumper) We see various scenes of backyard life, like kids jumping into pools, the camera travels under a towel out on a clothesline at one point. There are some lines of dialogue I remember. One was of one woman scolding her husband "Mow that lawn! I can't stand..." and then as her voice trails off another piece of dialogue from another family starts. The last piece of dialogue before the announcer speaks is a woman yelling at someone "I told you to stay out of the KITCHEN!". On the word "kitchen" the camera zooms into the cooked chicken/turkey she's holding and transitions to a car driving down a road with autumn leaves blowing out of the way (which is what leads me to assume it was a car commercial). How do I know it's no older than 1993? Well as I said this fascinated me as a kid. And as it happened my parents had captured it on a recording of Diagnosis Murder, which debuted in the fall of 93. I'd watch that ad over and over again. Have at it, sleuths!
its crazy to think that now if you see one of these cars their all like messed up or ruined
My mom used to have the Blazer shown in the commercial at 3:00.
Anyone who owns a Chevy truck from the 1990s would know that general motors rear abs system isn't something to brag about
Why?
Morphing images was hot in the early '90s. They ought to do more morphing nowadays.
Reminds me of T-1000 and Terminator 2
2:45 my buddy had that car in high-school, black. He used to pick me up before I got my license. Thing was whipped by 1998! Rust used to fall from the ceiling whenever you would close the door!! Poor thing, ran like a top but new england road salt killed it
The ‘94 Toyota commercial was before its time
Remember when car shopping was actually fun! Now, it's all business and how much can they squeeze out of ya.
6:36............yeah, but the Nissan Altima will do 2 things that the Oldsmobile Achieva won't.......start every day & not live on the back of tow trucks & in repair shops!!!!
landyachtfan79 Haha so true! Old Nissan reliability is something that just cannot be beat!
"a trucks that you can depend on, a trucks that last"
8:08-8:37 Way to go,General Motors for creating a higher standard on a full size luxury sedan called the Cadillac Deville!
is this supposed to be sarcasm?
First one had me rolling on the ground 😂😂
5:27
*Scotty Kilmer has entered the chat*
If I had to put up with these ads... I would go abroad to buy a car.
I like the Nissan Sentra commercial
Damn y’all were excited about those antilock brakes weren’t cha 😅
I love ford s comercials
the bed on the 92 ford pickup was huge back than
I still see these beasts driving in reserves.
92-96 ford f-series were the best looking f-series trucks in ford truck history imo.
Back when dealerships didn't cheat you and you were sincerely getting good cars for your money.
Wow, that Saturn commercial @7:07, had forgotten all about it, specifically remember seeing that all the time, wonder what Russ is up to nowadays?? Haha
My old dealership tried that same thing, barely anyone showed up.
I own a 94 S-10 Blazer
i love the ads
"We're introducing more new ideas than any other truck company", For example, exploding tires on the Explorer...
4:06-4:34 The Chevy Lumina (2nd generation) compared to Dodge Caravan(aka Chrysler Town and Country),Ford Aerostar or Windstar,Honda Oddsesy,Toyota Previa,Nissan Quest,Mazda MPV,Mercury Villager.
Now You See Few Of These Cars on The Roads Now in 2020.
forget it. like any vehicle and or truck you like.
The Achieva compared to Toyota Camry,Hyundai Sonata,Honda Accord,Nissan Altima,Dodge Dynasty,Subaru Legacy,Mitsubishi Galant,and Ford Taurus.
Station wagons are history! Now is all SUVs or Kind of.or sort of!
What is lady in the second Chevy commercial really has to do
side curtain airbag singular
Scotty Kilmer's 5:25
Am I really supposed to believe that Robin Williams drove a fucking Ford Taurus? 🤔
Cars without a passenger side mirror look like they are missing something....
My mother had a 1994 Ford Taurus, the engine wouldn't say in one piece lol. My grandparents had a Ford Explorer, not sure what year, maybe 1991, or 1992, and it was always in the shop
That why they are called ford exploders
I want to take out the loan for that 94 de ville. I am not thinking investment, I just want to go back in time.
How MANY caught the economy car with only one headlight working at 4:02 onward??
That’s just the sunlight reflecting off the car. The headlights weren’t on.
00:45 my grandpa had that same van
0:16 the front and rear doors aren’t lined up correctly smh
9:59 GMC's what????? Suspense is killing me.
Where’s Canyonero?
Haha Dodge Colt? Isnt obvious that it is 100% Mitsubishi Colt? The dodge commercial wont ever tell you during those times haha
Must be expensive floor mats...
everytime i see a factory worker making good money, i always wonder if they are in witness protection
THIRTY FOUR GALLON GAS TANK?! Where do I sign?!
A lot of trucks today are optional with large gas tanks.
Oh my. All of these songs are so cheesy. That Nissan Sentra song was just...
0:45 reminds me how fucking old the ford platforms are Jesus christ.
Not 1 fox body mustang
I wouldn`t drive a ford even if you gave it to me.
gm=government motors
Same
350toocute must be a gay chevy owner with a bow tie til I die tattoo
lol would you drive a rust bucket dodge? or a shitty GM that wouldnt be around if it wasnt for the bail out from obozo.
Ford is the only one who held their own... Ford master race
Papakap22 ford trucks kill people
The world was so much simpler then.. I rather deal with the pos car broken on the side of the road.
Well history has proven Fords were better built vehicles. Ford sells more trucks than Chevy/gmc combined!
rhino250r no
+Revolted Mayan yes
+Revolted Mayan yes
Caleb Carrigan nop
Revolted Mayan yes
I agree with 350toocute! Ford Trucks suck! Chevy and GMC rule!
Agreed
You are correct
You're opinion is invalid. More F-series trucks have been sold than all of GM's vehicles combined.
Caleb Carrigan you might want to recheck that gm sales more trucks then anybody in the world. then toyota then ford.
john edwards Citation needed.
Ford trucks, they circled the problem
When list vehicles 80s, 90s, and 2000s this at by music world the 2000s and 2010s the now
Why are you doing this? Why am I doing what? Using my ..... body wash?
ford lost the pride in 1984 got a new f150 manual transmission that when i picked it up and drove it home about 40 miles transmission was bone drive and stuck in granny the next day
still have my 93 chevy Tahoe s10 blazer, damn things a gas hog
my 93 gets pretty good mileage
u forgot to mention how much of a pos the ford tempo was lmao 😂😂
Ugliest era for cars imho.
No one agrees
4:27 That looks like the car from GTA San Andreas, what is the name of that car?
+Haikal Ghifari A Declasse Premier
+Haikal Ghifari Do you mean the Chevy Caprice?
+montyrocks25 That's what it's based off of. He was asking the San Andreas name of it.
+one436purcell productions I actually ask the real name of the car, but thanks anyway.
+montyrocks25 Thanks, now I know the name, what year is that?
Camry is the only REAL reliable car seen here, not even american. Sad
You can feel the quality, as your pushing the freaking thing to the side of the road.
Ford trucks,…….your better off dead.
At Ford,…quality is job None !!! It's nothing but a piece off __ hit !!!
I drive a 91 Chevy S10 with a 2.5 Duke. I have owned it for 21 years. It has 504,000 original miles on the drive line. Second clutch. one Valve grind. That thing does not use any oil between changes, and is so reliable.
Ford is nothing but a __ucking over rated disaster and I would never own one again even if you gave it to me !!!!
End of story
Yeah those s-10's are reliable, my grandpa had one that he put about 300k miles on it
richaroodledoodle sorry to tell you but Chevys are shit and especially s10 Blazers I just got rid of my 3rd one
Cars reflect on the owner, if you think chevys are bad you must be a bad owner. Especially if you went through 3 of them. Cars that old can't speak for the company today because you don't know the history of them from past owners.
You can't say that anymore about gm quality. I wouldn't even touch a gm product anymore. Their trucks have gone way down hill since the early 2000's and their cars have never recovered from what they used to be like before the oil crisis in the early 70's.
No race mixing or lib propaganda to be seen. Ahh the good ol days.
Ever sence GM baught out Saturn all Saturn are is rebadged GM's!!!!
God those cars were ugly
At 2:00 yeah what the fuck Chevrolet is trash and no good they're built like a rock so you can use them as boat anchors
Chevy cars are crap
Jackie Soto because?
@@activels9099 poor build quality, unreliable engines, electric, head gaskets .
@@avdcrx5441 I did make this comment 2 years ago and forgot it even existed. So you are right and Chevy is not a very reliable car like they used to be.
I absolutely hate that stupid Bob Seger song
