Cut pin 101 on the ECU plug there’s videos on UA-cam only takes like five minutes and fixes your throttle cut issue and allows you to left foot break, there’s also a G sensor under the center counsel you can unplug and you can also cut the ABS fuse but can’t pull it out because it is part of the starter relay also
@@alangoel8677 no, and my memory may be fuzzy on this as I did it on my car so long ago now. All 350z/g35 have 3 plugs on the abs pump, one of them (it’s a grey plug on my DE car) disables ABS & the throttle cut issue. My advice would just be to unplug them one at a time & try it
Welcome to the G37 life! A big radiator and a big oil cooler will go a long way. Swap up to a thicker oil and run the bigger oil filer and temps should come down. Geoff and I regularly run over 100 laps in a weekend with AC cranked all day on these setups.
A lot of people drift this platform where im from, i have a 350. But with the vq37 all you need is a catless exhaust with 3inch intakes a tune and youl make 330 wheel. Its not huge but a pretty big difference from stock and makes 3rd gear useable
My friend has a bone stock auto G35 sedan and has honestly made me appreciate those cars. When it gets too expensive to drift my 180 or to invest in another 30 year old jdm chassis ill prob look for one of those. 4 door specifically i just like the look a lot more. Always love some driving content too. Keep it up Aaron and Mark
AC made a huge huge difference in my temps. Last round at HPA accidentally left AC on mid day and after ~2-3 laps even with big koyo rad + oil cooler my z was getting very very hot. Normally get 6-8 laps before getting hot. The next day I ran the heat full blast as a test and could hot lap with no overheating ever. I just angled the heat at passenger side and it didn’t really heat me up much at all.
About the throttle cut thing. I drift the same car with wisefab, hopefully joining y'all one of these days. I'm just north of Medford area. I built a switch for my brake lights. Using the pedal from the switch. I call it my drift button haha 😄 If you turn off the brake lights it doesn't think your pushing brake and can do burnouts, launch in mid spin and brake while drifting. Great job guys
It would be a good idea to find out what caster - camber - toe the Wisefab kit is set to. If you haven't installed it yourself, or checked how its set up, its possible that it doesn't drive well.
My 04 G35 sedan never over heats during drift laps. The only thing I did to it was replace the rad fans with a rock auto special one. I will be getting coolong upgrades for sure though
Anyone have any clue how to get rid of the rev limit in drift i find i cant at certain speeds rev over 4k almost like its the launch settings. I was thinking also a huge improvement would be something like a pedal commander to clear the dbw delay obviously a tune would remedy all this
These cars actually seem like a really good package for a proper drift car. Newer, easy to drive, reliable. Too bad they didn't sell hundreds of thousands or even millions like BMW did with the 3 series. The future of drifting would be safe if we had millions of these things on the road. Also too bad Toyota didn't sell left hand drive JZX cars in the USA and europe.
i have a 07 hr with a nismo oil pump, timing chain and fdf koyo radiator with no oil cooler and i can only do two laps. had to get one perfect seat time car.

I have the g37 you made fun of for not having a bumper on the canyon in Utah 😂 There is a purple wire going to the stock fan controller than you can switch to ground for a fan switch. It only kicks on the fans when it’s almost overheating. It did a lot to keep mine cool!
Okay so I have an auto g37 and I can never find anyone who spills the beans on how to fully unlock traction control is it possible you could be that person
Hi there love the video! Do you or anyone mind going in specific detail into all the exact mods you’re running and the setup for each mod, tire setup etc you are using for the G37? I’m kinda new to this drifting thing but I like the setup the G37 has in this video and I want to make my car similar to it. I’d appreciate it so much❤️ Subbed!

@@LoneStarDrift after hearing you Adam Taylor and ginger preach VQ reliability and how it's one of the better/easier first time drift chassis I decided a sedan would be the best of both worlds to daily as well

@@vrdrifters8237 Yeah those are known for being hard to pull, I can't remember for the life of me which one is the lightest pull. I personally prefer cable e brake. You just gotta research on forums and fb about people's handbrake setups.

god aaron dont ever say these are budget drift cars, maybe if they had an RB or just something different then the VQ then i would agree, but no just no.... i mean its cool to buy this and have drift events but its in oklahoma just gets too hot there
For a couple months yes. But I’ve drifted my 350z in ok for two years now with no overheating issue. And mines a de. And I’ve been to small events when it’s hot outside. is that the same on the 07-08s? its like pink and blue right?
The better way to do this is just unplug the bottom plug on the abs pump

A swirl pot on these engines works wonders when hot lapping, best investment for my Hr Z
