How to make your 350z a proper drift car the first time!

We recently acquired a hunk of junk Nissan 350z with intentions of quickly converting it to a reliable and fun "seat time" drift car. This is the first time we have had our hands on this popular drifting chassis and learned a lot of how Nissan improved the mechanical concepts of things on this Z-chassis compared to our past experience with the S-chassis. After all was said and done, the car turned out fantastically and we felt compelled to share our recipe with the world. We'd rather do the work and invest on the front end so once we pull up to the track, there's only fun to be had and our time there isn't wasted on unnecessary repairs. What was the biggest difference to keep the car from fighting you as you said. Would it be the lower control arms. I have part shop max upper adjustable and toe arms in the back. Also the part shop max coilovers

The Z's front suspension, when factory and especially at the age they are now, can be quite sloppy. The front lower control arm uses these reaaaaally big rubber bushings that, with time and use, fail and create a lot of alignment changes - especially when going lock to lock during drifting. Essentially making your alignment dynamic (changing). -Scott
