Careful with the E46 shifter Adam. Those IRP Shifters have a reverse lock out button on the top of the shift knob. May want to tell the people that rent it so they don't destroy a $500 shifter!
Lots of cars have reverse lockout buttons lmao you'd hope people that stupid aren't trying to drift 😂

@@taliesinpotter4097 bmws don’t have a reverse lock out you just push in the clutch and push over to the left like how he was in the video vs the shifter that’s on the car has a button to open the gate to put it in reverse

Orion did the right thing by V6 swapping that car. It s kinda like a more modern/ newer VQ35 but also such an underdog :)
Did it used to be the 2 liter?
@@jamfd3s788 he swapped out the 4 banger and twin turbo’d the V6 then blew it up then swapped in an NA V6 before getting rid of it I believe

@@aymanbarakat186 It was on Nitrous, they were originally going turbo, but at the time they didn't have sufficient resources as that was back when Orion originally first moved to florida.

i love that the Fly off in the E46 sits in the window switch panel just makes the build looks so clean what it already is.
Orion always had some pretty solid setups despite his background.
I think that despite adam's massive amount of experience, Onion wouldn't be too far behind in tandem

As an owner of a bk1 3.8 genesis coupe I never figured out why these cars didn't get a big hype like the 350z, they look and sound good and with 2.0 turbo or 3.8 and 6 speed or auto you got options

@@georgefloydhadasthma9133 when he joined LZ's FD team he stated that it was a hiatus from his current tuning services and that he would resume booking customers this summer. He did just that. :) I'm sure he will still be in the picture with LZ's team in future FD seasons and projects.

I'm so happy to see this car alive I kept in contact with the guy that won it for a while , car has good potential I would get a retune for it through alpha speed , because since this car was built a lot of more better part options for this car have came out and people have made more power reliably

It's a hit and miss they are really high compression so you gotta be careful they make tons of torque tho , tuning is getting better and better on them though, on only around 8 psi it can make over 450 whp and over 400wtq
For the Genesis, Get the Exceladyne solid mount shifter from the Gencoupestore and never miss a gear again. And also the 4th mount kit from them to make the rear rock solid!

The Genesis was originally the 2.0T, which might have a shorter ratio than the 3.8 is supposed to have.
Yep exactly it has a 2.0t rear diff, but that dif is more desirable as I remember, if Adam gets some more bolt ons and get another tune he can gain a good bit more midrange torque
2.0 come with 3.91 diff . Compared to 3.8 that come with a lazy 3.54 ratio. You could split the difference between the 2 and go to a 3.73 ratio. Or get a retune and raise the rev limiter to get more wheel speed
It's so cool to see adam driving a genesis, I don't see my car being drifted all that often

i would try 3.5 or 3.7 in the back of that gen, its very good happy medium. enough wheel speed for second and not on limiter as much its what i use to run. you'll see a lot of those diffs out of 3.8 6 speeds. 09 to 2012. i'd assume its short too cause the car was previously a 2.0t which came with a 3.9 or 4.1 i believe i could be wrong. But genracer has a lot of good intel tho too

The idea of having a car available on track for around 500$ and you pay for fuel and tires is honestly the most amazing concept. Allowing people to get a taste of drifting without throwing massive money into a car is so cool.

I personally wanna know what people would genuinely pay for a turn key drift car to rent at track days, I myself am building a Jzx100 for the same purpose, to be able to rent it to people to drift, rims are supplied, you just pay for the tyres that get mounted, fuel you pay for, I have a trailer that I tow the car to (if local) car is always maintained before events. So you’re able to just show up and have a nice reliable 250-300kw jzx drift car ready to go. I’m in australia so no idea how popular it would be
