Got yesterday my first Ryzen System with a 4650g. Before i had a xeon e52678v3@3.3 All core Turbo. 32 GB ddr3 1866 registered. And yes what should i say. Oc on the ryzen@4.450ghz Looks in Benchmarks really nice, but again in gaming the old haswell xeon kills it. One positive, the wattage is down from xeon 135 W to 53 W.
Why did to go to 4650G when you have a separate graphics card? IT's strength is to be used with it internal graphics. You should have got 3600X instead. The 4650G has a lot less L3 cache, and it runs notably slower in some games than 3600X (Fortnite especially). Infinity Fabric.

Can't believe this thing is as fast as an Intel i5 8600k but with more cores and threads. Maybe its even good enough for RPCS3 and XENIA emulation. Can it run at 4.6ghz?
It's not with more CORES, this model still has 6 core. But yeah, it has more treads. No it can't run at 4,6 GHz. Maximum stable overclock i manages with water cooling i s about 4,3 GHz. With air 4,2 GHz.
Hi, can you overclock with Ryzen Master on this APU? I have read that it is not possible to use Ryzen master on this processor. Greetings
Never tried to do it this way, so no idea.
Nope. Ryzen Master not support 4000 series of Ryzen.
I wanna buy electric guitar and pc and decide to buy pc the video background song :
Have been trying to overclock them on my kit on memtest coming 2 or 1 errors
Lower the clock or rise the timings.
OK thanks Al try that. what ram kit do you use

You can oc your gpu on any motherboard .
Get b550 better
Temperaturas?
Can't remember exact values now, but temperature was adequate, probably in high 70-ties for prolonged use and it was not with the box. It ran for several days. But still i'd probably use slightly lower mem and iGPU speeds for 24/7.
Please use motherload, b450m Steel legend
Why?
hey, i have a question, why you even bother to oc the memory to those values, wasnt the "logical" limit 3600mhz? because after that you could have diminishing returns?
Because the iGPU performance is very reliant on memory bandwidth. Also the "Logical" limit is for chiplet based models of AMD which are limited by the distance in PCB. This one is monolithic crystal, so it can go a lot higher in 1:1 mode as you see here.
I have a ryzen 4650g can I increase the vram from 512mb to 2gb? On a gigabyte motherboard
It should be possible, but I can't say where in the bios you can find it.
U can set it as much as u can select force uma change gpu size
How can I do it with a ryzen 7 PRO 1700?
Rise the multiplier and voltage, but not above 3,8-3,9 GHz and 1,35-1,4 V.
sell it and buy 4650g
Got yesterday my first Ryzen System with a 4650g. Before i had a xeon e52678v3@3.3 All core Turbo. 32 GB ddr3 1866 registered. And yes what should i say. Benchmarks like cpu Z and so on are pretty nice, but for gaming with my OC 5700XT the min an Max FPS are slower.
Still it is a bit hard to believe it runs worse then the Xeon, despite it having 12 cores. Unless it was somehow overclocked? Also what ram are you using with the 4650
@@SteDiGaming yes it ist Hard to understand but it is so. The ryzen is little Bit slower. Yes i know L3 Cache is much lower, but new technology and ddr4 @3800 CL18 and 4.45 GHz should destroy the haswell. No it doesnt and i know that before. I Was allways an xeon lover. Let it See so, much less energy cost at near same gaming Power. And evt. I buy an 3900x and hope it is better than this diamond gem xeon. 6 years technology forward, amd its a shame. And on 4.45ghz it is faster than a Stock 3600x. The 4650g can take ddr4 5000 and fabric clock 1:1 easy. My Best Was 3933, because my RAM is on Limit.

Fast RAM and fabric helps alot the small L3 Cache. And dont forget the Fast 7700k with has also only 8mb L3 with 4 cores. And today its a very fast cpu. I mean where is the IPC Power at this clock on mine ryzen... All who have an xeon like mine ore better 2698bv3 keep it untill 2030.
hey i have a ryzen 5 pro 4650u can i still overclock?
Is it a laptop? Then no.
How config ryzen 7 pro 4750g
Should be similar, depending on silicon quality probably +/- 100 MHz. Also you need a really good RAM to go over DDR4-4000.
Hey man I watched a few of your videos great work. I have the same APU, the cpu is not overclocked for me but I think I will do it now, can I overclock the ram to higher than 4000mhz? My ram is 3600mhz standard and I run it at 4000mhz can I run it higher? Also could I copy your settings? I have a B550M-K board, with 2x8GB 3600mhz ram
It depends on capability of the ram. And it will be quite the struggle to get the optimal clocks. For example mine managed to get 4266, but it needed training to 4133 first and then additional rise. As for the settings - you probably can, but it is not guaranteed it will work with yours. Also i feel that there is not much effect overclocking the CPU cores, only iGPU does something meaningful after OC.
@@SteDiGaming My CPU is running at 4.0Ghz and I never overclocked it manually maybe my motherboard changed that on auto Im pretty sure the base clock out of the box is 3.7Ghz. My GPU is also at 2300mhz and I only changed the setting to extreme mode. Is messing with the timings worth it?
@@noxvi4753 The CPU can rise it's clock by it self up to maximum turbo clock, if thermal and power budget is available. As for memory - timings specifically with your iGPU are not going to do much.
@@SteDiGaming yes ok so I am running on auto timings with 4000mhz, my cpu is at 4.2ghz and gpu is at 2.3ghz is 75°C ok for it?
Would u recommend the overclock to this cpu? Or it wil decrease the life usage of the component?
Only the GPU part and only if you can match it with good memory. And yes, it can potentially shorten the life, but if you don't go overboard it should be fine. Probably.
@@SteDiGaming But you OC the CPU from 3700 to 4200 on 1.25 time. For 4000 series of Ryzen manual overclock CPU mostly not needed - the PBO work very well. On other hand the RAM overclock is necessarily in all circumstances.
@@cobaltxiv4408 Yes, PBO works well most of the time. As for RAM OC... I wouldn't say it is necessary i nall circumstances. Surprisingly the effect is not that big, unless you have a really good memory.

Yep, with good cooling it tends to boost a lot. But with high core load it drops a bit. Also it is to demonstrated the OC of video and memory too.
Infinity Fabric.
which ram are u using
GSkill Trident Z Royal DDR4-3600 CL16.
RAM 4133 Mhz , yo de 3200 Mhz
Non of these ratings is MHz, it is Megatransfers or just DDR rating. 4133 is 2066 MHz and 3200 is 1600 MHz.
