Dolly is 73 I think. She's about 5 years older then me. I live in Kentucky down on the border of Tenn. When Dolly was 12 she sang every Saturday evening in a television studio in Knoxville. It was just a little show sponsored by a owner of grocery stores. Then I watched her on the Porter Wagner show on Saturday evenings, this was after she went to Nashville. Dolly Parton has worked hard to be where she is today. She has never forgotten where she came from. Every Dolly fan knows the story of why she wanted to look like she does. Yes, she's made jokes about it before anyone else could. My favorite line of hers is, Nobody Ever Spent So Much Money To Look This Cheap.

the reason i am always in love with country music is you dolly, the legendary dolly parton.
Met her at 7 yrs old living at Merchants Hotel at 403 Broadway in Nashville. Met her again in early 20's working at Dixie Stampede. Dolly is a national treasure & a true gem. Music today is lacking in emotion today , so all you have to do is listen to Dolly & feel the love.

I hope and pray Ms. Parton does replicate the longevity and continued fruitfulness of Betty White. Actually, came to this video after reading an article about the origins and output of.Trio. Dolly, Emmylou, and Linda have their unique qualities in voice and appearance, but they were all cut from the same cloth: authentic women who came from loving homes and worked hard to realize their dreams of becoming professional singers. Not only are these women good friends, but were, are, and always will be great fans of each other. Lucky for us, they are!
