Join me once again with Clewiston's Sugar Express with US Sugar Steam Locomotive no. 148! An exciting weekend is upon us, as the 148 would be backdated to her original Florida East Coast Railway colors for a special 2-day photo charter trip. On Sunday, we will follow the charter train with the 148, cane cars, and passenger cars, as the engine heads to its home rails on the FEC K branch in Lake Harbor for a few photo runbys.

If you ask me, the Florida East Coast should restore or rebuild one of their Pacifics or Northerns (If not build a new one from scratch), and run it on the mainline on special excursions

What a surprise to know that engine #148 has a steam whistle that belongs to norfolk and western engine #611. Why not take that whistle back to the engine #611 and put a Hancock 3 chime steam whistle on the engine #148
