I was in Florida at the time and was able to catch 505 myself instantly on the first day after it returned to service. Now we got 507 running in the New Scheme too, so if I return there again, I'll hopefully look to catching that one. There's also 503 and 511, which are both still yet to run again despite also having the New Scheme already.

Air-operated bell ringers (to swing the bell) on steam engines are nothing new, and were standard equipment on most locomotives. FEC's Pacifics all had them as original equipment. I used to operate #113 in Miami, and it had its original 1913 air bell ringer, which still worked beautifully. The engineer has a control for this, and the fireman can still always hand-ring the bell using the rope. The #148 has had this air-operated bell ringer since the day she was built in the 1920s. It is NOT new!

I caught 510 in Lakeland, FL around Winston Yard when it was on it's way down there. I got a video of 510 on my channel sitting in the siding and being pulled into Winston Yard. It had those graffiti markings on it while it was up here.

5:25: there is so many brookviles just sitting there waiting for a new consist and engines. 5:28: 501 is sitting there. 5:31: 507 is just sitting there with its company by 503 which has the new scheme. but 503 is poor and he has no mirrors, he’s dirty, and he doesn’t have the one headlight he needs. 5:35: 506 just sits there with more coaches. 5:36: good to see 1004 rewrapped into the new scheme from a go transit scheme. 5:42: 510 is back from the Alstom plant in New York but has no horn and facing south instead of north. But also you could see 816 and 815 behind 510. 5:45: 510 has some company by 1004 and 513 which are in the new scheme but also behind 510 is rewrapped 1102, 513 should be returning soon. 5:49: 517 is still sitting there doing nothing but waiting for repairs. Also 511 and 519 is nowhere to be seen.
