We lived in Drakemire Drive, late 60s to mid 70s across from the fire station.these were police houses with dog kennels at the side.great memories before our move to Bo'ness
Thank you for this wonderful channel and your time creating the videos. I grew up in the west coast of Scotland and Glasgow was where I went to college and the 'Big City' that influenced my life. Much appreciated - Del
Thanks for the video, I grew up in castlemilk and left in 2000 but my family are still there although I’ve not seen it all for years. I lived in Machrie and Barlia and my wee nana and granda are in the Linn 😢 lovely to see it all again!
Thankyou Matthew its much appreciated hearing this ,, am going to be covering every single inch of Glasgow and surrounding areas ,, even ill travel abroad ,, our african trip as been moved to September.
I lived in Castlemilk on Ardencraig Rd when I was a wee boy. The hole in the wall takes you to Fernhill not Fernbank. I lived in Blairbeth and Whitlawburn. Now I live in Canada. Thanks for the tour. Its all changed now!
I worked in Castlemilk in the 1980s with the GCC and did the gas and electric renovations in the 1990s, it was a pretty poor district like most of Glasgow and hasn't really changed apart from the new builds. Some of the nicest people you could meet and always ready with the tea and biscuits!!

An absolute dive of a place.
Has a charm to it though 🤣 might be biased
