That would true in the 70s and 80s when i was brought up then.There has been a lot of investment in the past decade with almost all the old tenements being pulled down. Lots of new housing new schools the fort shopping centre! Don't get me wrong Easterhouse still has problems but it's not what it was 30-40 year's ago.
Born westerhouse road 1961,I'm now 61,left when I was 28,I see st Benedicts ,st Leonard's and the project are gone,fire station and the centaur are still there hardly recognize the place great memories thanks for the wee drive.
