When I was single up to about eight years ago I used to come to Glasgow from Manchester and stay at my friends on Garturk St. Looked a bit rough but the flats were lovely or at least my friends was and I never got any hassle and my car was always safe too. Don’t know whether it’s got any worse since then. The only thing that bothered me was I took what is my wife there a few times as well. Wouldn’t let her go to the shop on her own due to the large gangs of Roma men hanging around on the corners

Penilee is a nice name for a place. I like the new builds. I think the odd looking unique buildings are either flats or maisonettes. It’s great to get a tour of the different areas. Thanks Paul for doing this. It brings back old memories when I went to Coatbridge College. I came from Mount Ellen Gartcosh before I got married. Went to School in Chryston School. It would be great if you are around Gartcosh, Muirhead, Chryston and Moodiesburn. When we got married we lived at 14 Glenview Crescent Moodiesburn for a few years before we emigrated to Canada. Wish i had known you would go to Coatbridge,was born and raised there before moving to glasgow at 16.the white building on right was my first job when i left school at 15,the old Coatbridge hotel.my primary school was behind the time capsule.at the bottom of Baird st is the st andrews bar which is where my father bought me my first pint when i was 15, you also passed espieside Crescent twice which was the street i was born before moving to a new build in kelso qd when i was 5,our first inside toilet..lol.your last wee burly was at the gate of the annexe of st patricks high school which i attended when i was 12.so many memories,tx again
