I really like what you did for the water bottle.I saw a some videos on this pack, and none of them use the dividers like you did.The one thing I did not like about this pack was no bottle holder.I might buy one now. Thanks
The best thing the shock cord on top could hold is a pair of gloves. Often you need to take them off when getting into your bag, not opening the bag, but the dexterity when utilizing its contents. Great video as always K & S. Keep up the good work.
Latitude 33 Geckos Yes, very good observation. That's why I love making these videos. I learn so much from those who comment and interact with us. -Krik
I have the sling bag version and really like it. The sling bag is great for commuting and EDC or in situations where you really don't need to carry the bag for extended distances or periods of time. Would be nice to have the backpack version for those times where I want to lug the bag around all day. My biggest concern is the fact this is a smaller bag and it does not seem very adjustable in terms of torso length. The bag looks too small for you and I'm 6-0 and weigh 210. Might have to wait and see what their larger backpack looks like.
i kinda figured out that the top handle being that long has actually worked out really well for me. it makes it MUCH easier to just run and grab it or get it out of the car. It just makes more of the top handle accessible as well as the flexibility of it makes it easier to get and/or put the bag where you want it. I dont know if that makes any sense at all but...that's what I've figured out after having used it for a little while. Thoughts???
Hi, great video...as always. I was wondering...between the Vanquest Trident 20L, Direct Action DUST and the MSM Adapt Pack...which one do like more? I know that the MSM Adapt pack has almost no organization features...but it seems to be a practical lightweight design. Thanks!
Maxpedition riftcore good backpack imo, i like specially the hard shell case compartment for sunglasses or goggles, my brother has one and the cmc wallet 👍
I like all the features it has for putting pens, notebooks, camera area but for a woman... forget it. Women aren't really thought of much by this company with chest area. Hey Vanquest.... get with it, men aren't the only ones out in the woods.
North Face seems to get the his-and-hers aspect. The wife and I each have a... uh, I can't remember the model, but she's got a female-specific one that works well for her up top... and feels awful on me.
Raindance Bushcraft Nice to know thanks... Thanks :) Being an artist it's really great to see a bag like this with plenty of room for my sketchbooks, pencils, pens, etc and also room for a small tarp, hammock and cookset for the day out and about and even better that they did take the time to think of the woman in the woods!

AlaskanFrontier1 thanks! but none of those bags are in the same category as this one. there is overlap with each of them. i guess that's why there are more than 1 bag company. thanks for watching! - stony
AlaskanFrontier1 the material of the first two isn't nearly as rough and tumble as the vanquest bags and the 3rd bag has less molle capability and organization than the trident. they are small differences, which to the end user probably would be negligible. but preference is preference. - stony
Mine has the real thick YKKs. Not the kind where the teeth are made by winding them close together like standard zippers. They are make to prevent bursting, To give you an idea, if you see this pic and the zipper carefully, this is most common zipper type. My pack does NOT have this kind of zipper. I lose more packs to these zippers failing on me www.amazon.com/Assault-Generation-Marpat-Previously-Issued/dp/B00A9L30M0
the bungee tie down on top pocket can be used to hold a rolled military spec poncho or rolled rain jacket for quick access
You guys are doing an outstanding job! Keep it up!

Very well done review. 2:56 the locking zipper feature is awesome. The quality of this bag is very good.
cheers ;-))
Shock cord in front can hold a jacket or wet towel to dry while you trek through the woods.
waiting for something like this for a long time
For the small shock cord usage on the front, maybe a tube full of odds and ends would work well.
excellent review mate, well done
Appreciate you letting us know your weight and height. That helps so much.

For the area on the "admin" section with the shock cord. I would put a small packable jacket there, possibly a small FAK for quick access?
Good review. Would make a decent camera bag. Thanks.
Really nice camera work.

Great review as always brotherrrr!

Austin Williams the increased width of the top handle would undeniably cause the bag to act as you stated. thanks for sharing! - stony

Side pouch looks maybe more like an IFAK or ouchie kit compartment layout than admin.
Gnarly hat, dude!
Can I get this back pack delivered in India ?
maybe throw a rock climbing helmet in that shock cord area up top, maybe a small one at least
I just put a really compact umbrella in that area with the shock cord. Or if I don't need that, I'm sure I can find something else to put there ;)
A couple more bucks and you can get a Maxpedition Falcon 2. I'm really digging mine.
Maxpedition products are made by the children of Chinese political prisoners.
+Luke Kenney maxpedition isn't made with cordura fabric so you spend more on a lower quality product.
Maxpedition riftcore good backpack imo, i like specially the hard shell case compartment for sunglasses or goggles, my brother has one and the cmc wallet 👍
Will 15" Macbook fit? It's 14x10x4.5
Hi. I really want to buy it. Any one sell it ?
When did people start calling velcro 'hook and loop?' Or is that an East coast thing?
Velcro is a brand, hook and loop is the technology.
I like all the features it has for putting pens, notebooks, camera area but for a woman... forget it. Women aren't really thought of much by this company with chest area. Hey Vanquest.... get with it, men aren't the only ones out in the woods.
you could always forgo the sternum strap, but for $150, i understand not wanting to compromise. thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! - stony

Louise Florida /Missouri are you a feminist?
Why would I have to be a feminist?
I like it, but it was made more photography or carring tablet, laptop or anything with computers.
Plus its too padded.
ha not to be mean but you could get a better bag from camelbak for the price
what bag from camelbak is comparable? and your comment didn't come off as mean, but the "ha" at the front definitely made it seem snide. - stony

Conventional zippering. I prefer the kind on my GI Issue assault pack. I'll pass.
What kind of zippering does your GI pack have?

Nice pack, but way over priced.
