As a California native who’s spent the last 20 years in Idaho I really appreciate the way you guys have managed to act like California doesn’t have oppressive gun laws. I guess you can get away with more than I thought in the hills surrounding San Diego. Once again, thanks for the great Contant. All the videos are fantastic and the training is very educational. I appreciate Miles, and Dorr. Really love the videos with Coch And Tosh. All the force on force videos are great and the amount of content you guys are putting out is second to none. Keep up the good work!
In CA the options are: 1. Grandfathered in (probably some of Coch's builds); 2. FFL with LEO dealer samples (maybe given the training business); 3. Have LEO contacts who are selling them stuff that was bought off roster using LEO exception to laws (seems probable given military background); 4. Family gifts from out of state (unlikely based on volume); 5. Are current LEO or FED (could be). Just remember #5 when they ask to see pics of your stuff lol
@@davidlane07 They have training courses training courses outside of Cali, so I'd guess filming of the non CA compliant stuff is recorded outside the state of California and also in a state where what is being filmed is 100% legal
I too like to tuck my nads into a Crown-Royal bag for some added protection (17:30). The bags are really soft and the drawstring keeps everything secure. Great video guys. You keep making them and we'll keep watching them !
The multicam Camelbak Dorr shows at the end is the 'Linchpin' model. It was, as it happens, a collab with another company - not Maxpedition but Mystery Ranch - which is why it is so comfortable to use. Sadly, they don't make them any more, but you do see them come up used sometime.
Being in a VERY HOT DESERT dehydration sneaks up fast , your dehydrated before you even know it, when camelbacks came out with the sip hose , it was the best thing ever, and so convenient on the back water canteen is bulky, I wrode big fast dirt bikes for years, even wrode 1550 miles in 7 days up Mexico Baja . If you can fill up cold it helps keep your core temperature down when it's hot . Thanks Dorr and Coch , say Coch your looking younger Bud , keep it up
That was great!!! I carry a bailout bag in my car all the time. As you guys keep saying I have too much crap in it. Dorr you got the purple bags from the Canadians that were there. When I went into the Corps we were taught to bag everything to keep it dry and to make your ALICE pack float. It also made you compartmentalize as Dorr stated. Great Video!!! You guys are still over achievers.
Love the throwback content, that first camelback y’all had with just the shell was the first one i was issued in the Corps and then we moved on to a little more small backpackish camelbacks anyways. Cool seeing what you guys had you gents stay classy
Damn, every CamelBak the USMC gave me leaked inside a year. We switched to source and I only ever needed the first one I was issued, lasted me 4 years and a deployment! 4:1 ratio in Source's favor! I buy their stuff with my own money now and gave up on CB.
I appreciate all the content you guys do, awesome stuff. Reminds me of my deer hunting load out and how I keep going back to what works, although you got me thinking about adding a Camelback.
I was only issued the slick coyote brown Source. I envied the cool kids who got the Camelback HAWG and such. Connected the Source straight to my Flak. Was also great in Japan for taking liquids off base with me on a run. USMC in the 2010’s.
My 2003 Camelbac mule finaly gave up the ghost in 2021. Ordered another one, the main zipper failed in like a year, while doing a long swim ended up making an 1800 kinda closure with pcord and a closure for it, not fancy but still useable I was amazed at the original 3 color mule how long it lasted.
Speaking about camelbak and they're reputation of good bags. I bought a Camelback mule years ago and still use it to this day, not for combat cause ive never been, but mostly for a days worth of hiking. i like the molle system on it cause you can add different kinds of pouches to it to help sustainment but i usually carry the 3L bladder for it and usually some snacks and maybe a small lunch for the day when i go, and then a small first aid kit with a fire starter and a little bit paracord and usually a Gerber or Leatherman cause you never know. Realistically i could defintiley fit it for 24 hrs given i pack it right. great content and appreciate the stories!
Para bags seemed so much better than heli boxes. We found along with honeycomb taping up your canteens or even soda bottles with 100mph tape would stop/severely limit them busting open on a malfunction or mis drop. We also used to run a ‘bolt bag’ on top of our large long range patrol packs. 24-48hrs of food and water and extra ammo. So almost a small day sack that wasn’t meant for true E&E but if you had to drop your large pack and run you had extra gear but still mobile enough. It was an interesting concept but I never had to use that outside of a training scenario. The bags with the helmet pocket/beaver tail for me worked really as a K9 handler. But our SOP’s were we had to wear helmets so the helmet section was just an expandable pouch for me and allowed extra gear when required like a woobie and water for the dog. I still use my beaver tail pack for k9 sar. It’s in my opinion a great small day pack the 3 day packs were too big sometimes and the camelback MULE’s weren’t quite right.
Cool video gents. Lots of memories of the issued Camelbaks I had over the years - but I gotta say I’m a bit surprised not seeing some LBT stuff. And yes, the older bags were built WELL👊🏻
A good friend of mine told me ounces make pounds and pounds will wear you down. He also said he went by the keep it simple stupid method. Ya'll never fail to put out videos that are informative as well as entertaining. I hope ya'll are well. Did you guys ever carry non scented wipes for keeping the smell manageable? I knew guys in Iraq that carried them for emergencies .
Just love hearing/talking gear shit from the day - so many similarities from my Green side SOF, turned my kid onto your site-he,s going 18X soon! Great content, keep it up🤙🏼🇺🇸
Dude those pop flare cases are perfect for holding a small cache of ammo, but they are impossible to find. I somehow only managed to leave the military with two.
I have loads of them. My wife is still active duty Marine Corps (I got out years ago), and she would give me loads of those, ammo cans, smoke grenade cans, grenade crates etc while we were on Oki and Quantico. I use the pop flare cans for fire starting gear and water filtration/disinfecting gear as well as cleaning gear for my rifle/pistol. Smoke grenade cans are great for sniper veils, hygiene gear etc, and when I was a cop I had them in my cruiser filled with nitrile gloves, and hoods for "spitters" that were in my custody. Nowadays I keep most of that stuff in a Pelican crate, in my hurricane/SHTF evac situation kit.
Great review. Love the packs, but I’m a 67 year old on a limited budget. So most of these are out of my budget. Sorry I don’t have companies sending me packs to try 🤪. Been looking for a multicam pack under 30 liters, but seems the only one in my budget is a 5.11 Rush 12. It’s a nice pack, but seems dated. Well I’ll keep searching.
would love to talk more to you guys , u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active , LOVE talking gear n such , only have email though here , thanks n great vid , keep em coming > tom !
The pen Flare 🤣🤣 I went to shoot one at a vehicle approaching... Well quickly I dropped it an engaged with my rifle .. funny now .. but when the flare fell in the turret it went off an my driver was screaming RPG .. RPG were hit 🤣🤣 im kicking him from the turret to get off the radio it was a flare not a RPG ... Ahh good ol Sangin Valley Afghan
I want to adopt coch and mentor him. seems like a misdirected young man, lacking motivation, doesn't have anything to dedicate his life to. idk what kind of TV he was watching back in the carter days but it seems to have really got his head mixed up, but i think he has a lot of potential if he can just find a purpose in life. i figure i could whip him into shape over a summer and maybe even give him some spending cash if he's willing to work a few chores for me.
Need to get me a new one.....been rocking my brother's marine "daypack"(the backpack not the ruck) for 15years on the daily at a construction job, trips, every hunt ive been on, and she's fiiiinally showing wear down albiet nothings broke yet. Government cant seem to stop damaging the dollar, but i guess they got the man purses on lock down. Spose marines prolly pretty particular bout not letting their crayons get broke ;). Gotta get a similar one and be set for rest of my life. Close to the beat up version yall had.
Hey guys. Love the content. Nothing but respect for seals. Do you happen to know the model of the first small pack that you reviewed? The one with the rubber bands on it and referred to as lunch pail? Thanks. Dan
Did you guys ever have to hump a Ruck, or large Bergen size backpack. If so when would Seals be humping the larger pack. Was it something more common than not ? Thanks for the awesome content guys and ya Dorr that Maximum pack is still being made. 🤘
Friend of mine gave me his issued camelbak mule that yall shown and yes after 15 years in the sun they fade fast. I still use mine as an edc bag with all my typical stuff I might need to last me a few days if I cant make it home. Meds, batteries, gun+ammo, chargers, cords, pill bottle with coins and cash in it and other odds and ends like a poncho and socks and underwear. People like brassfacts will have this huge bag with a lot of shit in it you dont need and I amhaving a really hard time replacing this bag or find another one but in woodland. If you do find one its like $200 and they dont have it in stock like the search said it did. I got a source commander bag and its nice but everything is in the wrong place.
As a California native who’s spent the last 20 years in Idaho I really appreciate the way you guys have managed to act like California doesn’t have oppressive gun laws. So they are in Cali, I wonder how they pull off what they do there.
They're in AZ

Military and Law enforcement in California are not subject to the same laws. They are able to purchase anything you can buy in a free state.
I too like to tuck my nads into a Crown-Royal bag for some added protection (17:30). The bags are really soft and the drawstring keeps everything secure.
Great video guys. You keep making them and we'll keep watching them !
Excellent video as always! Thank you Coch and thank you Dorr for the time and effort putting in doing these videos. You two rock!
Blackhawk and Eberlestock are my go too. I do have 511 somewhere though
Your boy Dorr there, looks like a dude that was snatched up under an overpass panhandling, and got thrown in front a camera 😂
I'm lucky enough to own one in coyote :)

Yeah I spray painted camouflaged my son a I backpacks/bug out bags. Actually came out great. Bought the packs at Academy.

I own a Camelback Narrow Gauge backpack it's 27 years old, easily has over 3,000 miles on it and it's still going strong. one amazing pack..
Dorr home most look like an old Army and Navy store with all the old gear he kept!
refreshing to see manscaping content not sponsored by Manscaping products. Genuine!
If I see a video with you 2 guys its an instant Like. Don't care what your talking about. Its all great content. Keep it up.
The amount of knowledge between these two 👌🏾🤙🏾 Thanks for another great vid gents.
I appreciate all the content you guys do, awesome stuff. Reminds me of my deer hunting load out and how I keep going back to what works, although you got me thinking about adding a Camelback.
Always great content.

Mustache looking good on Coach
Another excellent video. Looking forward to part 2!

Great info. Didnt know about speed balls and how that came about.
Love the 30-40 on the mantle.
I tried platypus back in the day. Had a 2 or 3 litre bladder in my burgan. But it burst. Not just a little tear, it went like a balloon.
I've been carrying "snivel gear" in my daypack without knowing it, LOL. Another good video, thanks!
Thanks gents good shit!
Just love hearing/talking gear shit from the day - so many similarities from my Green side SOF, turned my kid onto your site-he,s going 18X soon! Great content, keep it up🤙🏼🇺🇸
Camelback HAWGs are the best.. still had mine in woodland 20 years on
Dude those pop flare cases are perfect for holding a small cache of ammo, but they are impossible to find. I somehow only managed to leave the military with two.

Thanks Coch and Dorr! :) :us You always need to get to your tool on the objective, before she gets bored and escapes. :)
Coch's should be studied by prop makers who enjoy authentic "weathering". Those packs are gorgeously distressed.

Source has gotten better. At least for their bags. Camelbak is still the gold standard for the bladder!
Good stuff. Thanks!
Crown Royal bags, yep 👍
The only lesson history teaches is that man forgets all of history's lessons.
If that’s true. How do you know?
T-town represent!!
would love to talk more to you guys , u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active , LOVE talking gear n such , only have email though here , thanks n great vid , keep em coming > tom !
Coch always seems like he’s fighting the urge to go off and tell a story that has nothing to do with anything.
ran the same camelback bag then switched to the Eagle bags then Eberlestock you get what you pay for
Great Video. Keep ‘em coming (that’s what she said)
Hey Coch what type of watch do you have on
Fantastic, good info, thanks
What’s the name of the black camelback? From Coach
Can’t find it online

Gotta love on the Camels... especially once back home...🤔
Good talk

That's a Witness Protection Program beard.
I actually thought the same thing.
What’s he hiding from?

Did you guys ever run in-line filtration on your Camelbak?
If memory serves they issued those but I never saw any body use them.
Great video
Hey guys. Love the content. Nothing but respect for seals. Do you happen to know the model of the first small pack that you reviewed? The one with the rubber bands on it and referred to as lunch pail? Thanks. Dan
