@@wal81270 He isn't strong on his legs. You see it after each movement where "kime" is involved. Very obvious in the "hara-uke + shiko dachi" in the beginning; but also with the morote-tsuki in the end. His body keeps moving after every "kime" witch means there's no powerful enough connection to the floor.
Where's the ferocity? Where's the zeal? This is why I feel most non-full contact forms of karate have fallen into mockery and disregard nowadays. He's a black belt and yet I could find younger blue belts who perform the kata with more ferocity and respect towards its intended form than him. The belt system is a scam and focusing on katas above actual full-contact training has caused karate to lose its identity as a martial art. Put this man in a real fight against a street fighter in his same weight class and he'll get embarrassed and beat up. Let alone a trained amateur fighter who'd toy with him. A shame that most goju-ryu practitioners have forgotten that it's a MARTIAL art. No warrior spirit in this man. He's little more than a dance performer.
Oh no! The legendary street fighter who does full contact sparring every night. 🤣🤣 Most professional fighters are physically crippled by their 40's. Sensei Nakamura is 58 years old. Your average 58 year old "fighter" couldn't beat this man in a foot race. 🤣
Says who? Why don't you use a name in your profile or share a video of your techniques? It is very nice to hide behind a keyboard and ramble on as an expert in whatever. Firstly, if you know anything about traditional Karate, specifically about Okinawan Goju Ryu, you would not even make such nonsense remarks, as Okinawan Goju Ryu is one of the strongest and versatile Karate styles being practiced today. I'm pretty sure you would not last a round of Irikumi Go with an IOGKF black belt. Now onto the Kata, Nakamura Sensei is demonstrating Geki Sai Dai Ichi at a slow speed so that the Junior Students could use it as a reference to correct their techniques. This video was specifically produced during the pandemic to help motivate junior students execute the kata to the IOGKF standards. Mr. or Mrs. UA-cam Keyboard warrior, please share the links of your Kata execution and or your last full contact match.

Sensei Nakamura is a very good fighter. I have seen old videos from him. And he is a pupil of Sensei Morio Higaonna.
