Hey Keith, thanks for this, I bought it too, seems like a good idea. For the sake of discussion, I’m not convinced by your calculations, as you ought to consider volume for the crud to accumulate, not surface.

I looked to buy online but by the time you add the $16.95 mail costs it puts them into the $100 per filter costs so will just use the spare $5.25 KTM replacement filter that I carry in my tool pouch if I need. The idea and convenience is good, I would have more than likley purchased had it not been for the cost of postage for such a small item.
I had to laugh when you tried to remove that clamp. I was exactly the same as you when I fitted mine recently. I struggled with screwdrivers, side cutters etc. Shame about the price now, with a terrible exchange rate and expensive freight but I think it’s the best option.
I knew about the Dremel method but wanted to try without special tools first. Alas... It was literally a 5 second job with the Dremel! Yes this filter is the best option by far for this bike.
I like the zipty idea but does require a 19 mm wrench + whatever size wrench for the other half to get it apart….should it be required while out riding. So need to carry two additional tools not included in the KTM tool kit. The stock system is so easy and quick, no tools required. I did buy the zipty filter but will not be installing based on above. Good vid though.
Great video Keith I was working in Kenya for a year and your Vids kept me entertained. I dont recommend riding in Kenya You need balls of steel (lots of head ons) and the bikes generally lost every time..... Keith do you remember what size was the replacement fuel injection clamp? Keep up the content mate its very helpful . Im back in Melbourne so I may see you about
Thanks for the video! Just bought one of these for my wife's 250FE.
Thanks for the recommendation brother, bought one for my bike after seeing your video...love from the USA!!

I deal with those clamps all the time. You got squeeze the clamp to release the tangs stuck in the holes of the outer portion of the clamp.
Are these clamps reusable?
Keith, Hello
Please share your experience of using 2 years after installation: the timing of cleaning / replacing the mesh.

I woulda thought they would make it so the witch hat would go after the big filter that way you can still use it but wouldn't get very dirty.
That would make a lot more sense!
That link to golan there is no shipping to uk

The clamp has a number 15 stamped on it. The hose is approx 14.5mm dia.
