This was my first time seeing this guy, it just blew my mind, both,Gary and his guitar player also fucking rocks. Honest, pure, actually the whole band is tight, happy to be allowing their soul to flow, it gave me goosebumps. Saw a few comments about comparison, didn't get any vibe that he was copying or trying to anyone, thought it was genuine, honest, with conviction and integrity, long live rock and roll
Gotta love it when you come across something like this that actually leaves your jaw hangin'. This man is a genius. If he was born 60-70 yrs ago he would have shaped the face of music forever.
known him for a while , and was so happy to hear this in max payne 3 . fits like a glove
The best band...i hope yall stay together for years. They understand gary clark jr well...its like a Allstar group
just discovered this young man. amazing!
I just love that epi!
saludos de PERÚ
sigue rockeando+
If it were up to me, he'd drum on every song I listen to for the rest of forever.
Thank God for Gary! No one ever came close to Stevie Ray and no one will but Gary is amazing and brought it back.
I saw this guy when he was the open act for Clapton. Man, what a night...
The best!
The Best
Best version so far
I like that mute strum, and the second guitar.
Lord.......have Mercy.................GREAT
awasome dud
buen estilo amigo buen blues buen rock and roll lml
My Man!
GREAT Groove...
:-)
true!
Blues on hermano dios te bendigaaa...!!!
Love how the drummer gets so much play out of a simple kit.
If I had $100- for every time I heard "the next Hendrix", or even his cousin, "Guitar Shorty" (oh yeah, I guess I do, so please keep comparing!) , I love this song, some others yet c'mon, listen through the Hendrix or Shorty (Jimi's cousin) tracks, and move over rover.... have you ever heard the original of this song, the 30's version. Gotta mine for blues, or chain yourself to the rock, time will watch the rain and the waves, wear away every new fold of history, yet Jimi, he may be remembered when Dali and Bach are forgotten, or even Rimbaud and Rumi... or not. Enjoy this moment. It passes. You guys crack me up! Thank you for that. Be well and have a great ride... I am!
Muito bom 🇧🇷
okay seriously guys, he is really good, but stop the hendrix comparisons.
he's different sound
Yeah, I mean Gary can at least sing well.
Very nice groove
6:09 It reminds me Page´s intros to the solos
loving the Neil Young-style break down
Are you saying that music like this wasn't made by people born 60-70 yrs ago? Or do you believe he would have played a different style? If you believe that people born 60-70 yrs ago didn't play music like this you should consider the fact that most of the great rock guitar legends, i.e. Hendrix, Clapton, etc... were born 60-70 yrs ago. Hell Randy Rhoads would be almost 60. As far as what style he would have played... well that is what I meant by shaping the face of music. Very talented musician.
He should get you to play all the other parts. :p
He's an amazing guitarist but I think people are over exaggerating that he's the new Hendrix
King Zapata…damn
i love how he gets a kick out of his guitarist! bc the guys good but hes like an eccentric type a dude...Its like he just said f$%$%^k it! and went off! gary was laughin!
If he was born 60-70 years ago he almost definitely wouldn't have been making music like this...
JJ Johnson should be drumming
He sounds like dan auerbach from the black keys :ooooooooo
they must have the blues
X guitar very good,who please??
todavia no se si el rollo de king zapata me parece que tiene rollo, o que es un poco chapuza. Hace algunas ideas buenas pero no se..
his voice is exactly like Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys
Go listen to the cover on "Derek Ferwerda"s channel. You wont be disappointed
I can feel in his soloing stuff a john frusciante fingerprint
The crowd is dead. Gary Clark is amazing and the audience are zombies. Wtf?
he must be new Jimi Hendrix
racist
Absolutely dope. My only criticism is that the drummer's snare is rattling like mad for the intro, it's ruining the guitar buildup for me. Can't beat Gary Clark though, no doubt. Prefer him behind an acoustic, but hey, that's not everyone's bag.
He needs a better band.
I can't stand people who wear sunglasses inside.
Pete Woj Stage lights are bright! play enough onstage and find out.
Don't you know the bright lights and big city are going to his head? Obviously he needs sunglasses
