Hello, I have a Samsung Watch 5 and a son with diabetes1. For me it is very important to have the values on the clock. Thanks to your video I can finally see them. Thank you very much for sharing.❤
This worked for me after several tries. I have samsung s22 phone and galaxy 5 watch. After installing, it can take 5 to 10 minutes for data to load. Also I got the custom face to work but decided to use one of the other 2 faces the app downloaded. Looks nicer and has a watch face with dexcom data on it. Thanks for proving this video.
Thank you soo much!! I have been trying to get this to work for ever! I have watched dozens of videos and this is the only one that helped me! I actually gave up, after I did this and magically my dexcom readings appeared on my watch! Thank you!
I follow my teen son and love to see it on my watch now. BUT, do you know how to make it a tile or how to just get alerts? I kind of want my own watch face, but do want watch access to view his numbers and trends and get alerts. And info on that? Thanks for this, better than before for sure!
Thank you Alexis. Here is another video I made that shows you how to further customize this watch face. Upgrade Your Watch Game: Animated Watch Faces with Real-time CGM Readings ua-cam.com/video/2VCRlPsGVa8/v-deo.html
Soooooo helpful. Once wearsble widgets and gwatch are set up, you can fierher customize your watch faces. I actually like customizing my watch faces to look more like a watch. There are several watch faces under the samsung wearsble app that are under the category of "informative" watch faces. These are customizable. I was able to add wearable widgets to one of the complications. I now have my activity levels, gwatch widget, sunrise/sunset etc all on one watch face. Awesome!
Thank you for doing this. You were the most helpful but I cant download wearable widget or blose app. Do you have any suggestions for the newer phones?
This solution works great! It took about 30 minutes to setup, following this video step by step (thanks), and its up and running, customized to my preferences. Why was I banging my head against the Dexcom brick wall for so long?
I just got my watch6...and not getting my Dexcom G7 numbers to show on my watch is driving me nuts. lol. Now it says that the wearable widget isn't available. Are you able to share how you git it to work??
@@jenkory I also have a Samsung watch6 and can't get my Dexcom to numbers to show as the playstore says that the wearable widget isn't available. Did you figure out how to do it? Any help is appreciated.
I got to the step at 7:15 and the Wearable Widget didn't show up on my downloaded choices. Not sure what I did wrong. Anyway, I manually download the Wearable Widget app to my watch from the watch. I really like this version more than the old hack (it was kind of boring). This looks so much better. Thank you!
Interesting,, thank you so much for sharing. I had another viewer that had the same issue but couldnt get past this point. I'll be sure to relay your method.
I was so excited to find this video but unfortunately wearable widgets is not compatible with s22 and above which is the phone that came out today the watch 5 did. Do you know of any alternative widget wearable apps?
Thank you So much. Following my Dexcom on my watch is part of the reason I bought my watch. I couldn't get your last hack to work on my watch but this on work so well just wish I could keep my holiday face on an scroll to the Dexcom when I want to look at my sugars. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks so much for the easy to follow instructions. However it does not seem to work on my Galaxy #6 watch. Do you have any suggestions for that version or is it not available. Thanks
I had already switched to g-watch but it's so hard to read on the normal faces. Thanks for making this video I didn't know about wearable widgets! It's so much easier to see
Hi and thank you for this video. I called Dexcom to see how I could get my readings on a galaxy watch. They told me they only allow the app on Apple watches. Did you install the app on your phone after dexcom stopped working with Samsung Galaxy watches? I would try xdrip but I have the omnipod 5, automated pump that doses insulin directly from my dexcom so I don't think I could mess with xdrip. Please let me know if this video was done after they stopped allowing Dexcom on Android watches. And thanks again. 😊
That is absolutely correct. I am working directly with Dexcom's leadership. I reported this issue back on September 28th over a year ago. Their responses simple, as of this time, they have no time schedule to have a workaround, of having Dexcom G6 work with any Samsung watch. This is due to the constant changes, of Samsung updates
Forgive me for another question, but in your video, you followed your wife's dexcom. Did you just do that to get the software on your watch? And then you were able to connect your dexcom as well? I love my Samsung phones and really don't want to switch to an apple product. 😕 Thanks again
@Opp Sorry for the confusion. My wife doesn't have diabetes. I actually set up the follow app on my wife's phone in order to have her follow my Dexcom. I used the follow app to make the watch face work. Great question.
@typ3me Ahhh, I thought there was some reason why you'd involve another person. Still trying to wrap my head around it but I dont think I'll understand until I get a watch. My husband is an apple person and follows me, although he hasn't been able to get follow to work on his new apple 8 Ultra.
I just did this and it worked! YAY! Is there a way I can have my normal "watch face" back and just have the dexcom # as a 2nd "widget"?? Thanks so much!
Hi Ben. Another great video! A couple of weeks ago I thought about resetting my phone to return to the old OS so I could try to view my my BS readings on my new Watch 5, but I thought I would try one last thing and down load the Xdrip+ app. I did that several years ago when I had a new Samsung s9 phone the Dexcom app was not updated to allow the use of it on the S9. I down loaded Xdrip then and it worked pretty good, but I switched back to the Dexcom app once they updated their software. As you know I described my trails and tribulations with Watch5 on your hacked video and finally gave up. Eventually I switched I stopped the Dexcom app on my the S21 phone and installed Xdrip+, and loaded Watch5 Galaxy wearable and Wearable Widgets. The combo of Xdrip+ and wearable widgets have worked great since then, using the instructions with the wearable widget app install. Like your above video It was pretty easy I thought. The only exception is when I change transmitters and sensors, Xdrip can be a bit finicky. I read on redditt that it is best to wait 10 minutes after an old transmitter is stopped and a new one is started. Pairing was a bit slow so I had to manually pair the transmitter via the phone settings app, connections, bluetooth, search and pair the transmitter. One has to be careful with the battery settings on the Watch5 and not leave the watch screen on all the time, that drained it down fast like in half a day. Instead I set the watch screen to come on with wrist movement and turned the brightness down and I only loose about 25% battery in one day. Otherwise, all is good now. I like the indication the on the watch as to the +/- 5 minute rate change and right now I like the xdrip+ app better, at least for now. And it is fairly easy to switch from the Dexcom app to xdrip and back, but only one app can run at a time on the phone.
Very interesting, thank you for your contribution to this comment feed as as for the useful info about your experience using xdrip, an app I have yet to experiment with.
@@typ3me Xdrip offers more information that the Dexcom doesn't or can"t. Also it is compatible with old and new Android devices. I'm sure Dexcom was/is limited to what they can do with their software by the FDA for various reasons to ensure that it is simple and dependable enough to be used by almost anyone. Xdrip is open source designed by diabetics who reportedly copied some of the Dexcom software. I don't know if Dexcom approves of the xdrip program with their system and I don't know if they can tell is someone is using it. I'm glad to be able to use either one!
Hi Ben ! everything works. thanks a lot from my wife. now you can also edit any clock face by adding a gwatch widget in the theme or add a separate tile. I can send you a screenshot of how to do it. thanks again!
Nice! So let me get this straight is your wife able to view your numbers from her watch remotely? I also used the Galaxy watch informative faces to the utilize the "complications" option in order to add the cgm as a tile. I love it. I wanted to make a separate video with the walk-through but wanted to see the interest on this one first.
@@typ3me I don't have diabetes but my wife does and she passes thanks to you. I just ran it on her watch. After setting everything up as in your guide, everything worked perfectly. But out of curiosity, I wanted to see if I could edit the standard clock face by adding a sugar value to it. It worked! It is not so transparent that due to its small size, but it works. Now my wife can use dexcom on watch4 through her favorite clock face. She loves it. Additionally, I have set the tile first and when swiped to the right it has the full graph. Hope I explained it well now? Greetings from Poland! P.s. the readings will probably work on my watch if I install this app.
Hi, I'm having many problems getting the watch face to look like it is in this video, let alone adding other useful information. Guidance would be much appreciated
I followed all the steps and it wasn't working so I tried to figure out what went wrong and I realized I had entered the wrong username and password for the Dexcom app! Once I corrected this it started working! Thank you so much I really appreciate it.
Thank you Sir, watched the hack video yesterday and failed miserably. Just found this updated version, working well except the bottom 20% of text is cut off. Can anyone help with my boomer moment? Thanks!
@typ3me Nailed it! Tried that once before but I guess I didn't try hard enough. Unfortunately I got a amazon refurbished galaxy 4 on the cheap, and the battery dies in 6-8hrs. About to get returned. Ordered a Fossil 6 new, going to try minimalist approach with the install and see if it last one full day. I would be OK with 2 watches on daily rotation. Thanks again
Thanks great video. Just got my watch and all seems to be well with this face bu t is it possible to have an image as the widget background instead of a solid colour?
So I just watched your previous video with the hack. I ironically already did more or less what you did here (I just never checked that first Dexcom box and I also never bothered with the follow app. I checked the follow app, but put in my Dexcom log in information and it worked as well.). Since I never did that hack and managed to stumble into this way (more or less), is the hack better? The reason I am asking is I have noticed that I have to refresh (resend values I think) ever once and awhile because my scores could be slightly delayed. If want the score to match virtually perfectly my phone/receiver, it’s the only way. I am using a 5 pro and the G7. Do you personally think then hack is more reliable or prefer it? Or is it your opinion they are the same, etc? Hopefully, I am making sense. Also, I haven’t read a lot of the comments, so what I am about to share may have already been mentioned. I apologize in advance if it’s redundant. There are many other watch faces that are available for you to add this (G-Watch Wear) or Blose as a complication. IMO, some may even be more preferable to some because it allows more information and doesn’t make it so either our scores are really big, and time is small or the time is really big and our scores are microscopic. There are several that I have found that looks like a watch (digital or analog), but allows for other information like the date, steps, battery life, etc. and of course our glucose scores. Ironically, I have 1 face set up with both the G-Watch Wear and the Blose app. I did this on just 1 face as a catch all face. My thought was if my scores look odd before I do other things I can just change to that face and see if the scores match. Since I am new to being a smartwatch owner, I have just really started setting things up and it has been real tedious looking up all of these watch faces. So, this brings me to my final question: if you or anyone were aware that there are other faces that allow us to add our glucose scores as complications, is there a list of which ones (either free or not)? Right now I literally add these watch faces and go to customize to see if they have complications available. Unfortunately, it turned out that not all faces that had complications available (even ones that had several complications available for customization) had the capability for either the G-Watch Wear or the Blose. So I now had to go into each one and check those complications….to my surprise there were several. I am still looking for more because I would still like several bit of information available to me in my watch, like obviously time, glucose, date (preferably full day, date, and month(tough to find all), battery life, steps (or maybe some other exercise), maybe others (just don’t want it to be too busy that things are either so small or just too crowded that things get lost). I have found several (I think about 10 (May have used 1 and changed some colors/features). It would just be nice to get a list or at minimum if we could share these faces among the diabetic community. Sorry in advance, if this was wordy or there were typos, not having a great day and didn’t proofread what I wrote. But hopefully everyone got the gist. Thanks in advance and I am looking forward for some watch face ideas that will include our scores. Hope everyone stays safe!!!
Hi Valerie. It does for calls, messages , and some apps. In order to read CGM values, it does need the phone nearby. We are still waiting on these companies to offer direct to watch cgm value technology. Fingers 🤞
Thanks - I've been using this method for a while now, but since yesterday, my watch is only showing the most recent 6 or so points instead of the typical line of points all the way across the screen. Any idea how to fix this?
The phone can still send the numbers to your watch via bluetooth as long as it was been previously synced and as long as your phone has an internet connection.
The hack version was always hit or miss, and I couldn't get it to work after a previous watch update. Great instructions and I'm now getting full utility out of my watch - I bought it for this!
Hi Annie, I'm so glad I could help you. It's frustrating when tech doesn't always work as it should. I am very thankful for your patience and support, as I continue to share with my viewers the things that I learn that make it easier to navigate this disease.
Your a Champ! Got to work on my Fossil Gen5 (Carlyle) watch and new Samsung S22+ phone with Wear OS. Will need to fiddle around with some the watch face options, but so happy to once again be able to look at my watch for CGM6 levels. [Dexcom watch face worked fine on my old Galaxy S9 - but not the 22+.]
Hello, I have a question, should we enter our main G6 application name and password where we can see our blood sugar in the Dexcom Share login section?
Is there any android wear app to put manually blood glucose and dose of insulin from smartwatch? I thinking about buy samsung watch but I want know is it there somehow
Sorry Kathy I do not, but let me give you a link to a much simpler method. Hope this helps. Blose: My favorite CGM Watch Face with Low Alarm Vibration. ua-cam.com/video/tJQJmGYLOVQ/v-deo.html
FYI I got the procedure in the video to work with the Dexcom G7, Samsung Galaxy S10 and Samsung Galaxy Watch5 ! ! ! Used the latest software versions of the apps used. Thanks for the effort and you may want to consider an updated video procedure.
@@typ3me The apps were downloaded from their official source. The phone OS is updated to the latest available. The watch OS upload, failed but that was the point where the widget display occurred on the watch. Any other questions please let me know. The visibility of sugar levels by looking at your watch is so convent.
You're welcome, Chirag. Sorry, no notification support on this one. However, the Blose app allows for vibrate alerts for highs and lows. ua-cam.com/video/tJQJmGYLOVQ/v-deo.html
Hi Andrea, there is a different method with fewer issues that is much easier to set up. Try this. ua-cam.com/video/tJQJmGYLOVQ/v-deo.html Hope this helps.
Hi Sarah. Yes, when in the wearable widget app, go to settings, scroll down to wear OS, then lengthen the watch face interval. This helps with battery life.
Hi, re Blose app, does the Dexcom share option meant you're phoned needs to be connected to the cloud/internet. Can't the Blose app just get the information from the phone directly without having to access the cloud?
Hi, Thanks for sharing this. it's very strange it was working fine on my watch and then a few days later I reset all the data of my phone. After that i followed the same step but the app is not working on my watch. any reason for this please.

I was recently told this will work if instead of Dexcom follow you click the option for libre link up follower under the gwatch app settings, data sources. Let me know how it goes.

Great vid but it wouldn’t work for me bcuz I couldn’t even install the wear os app. Any tips on how to Install it? I know it didn't do anything but I think I just need to install it to get that watchface.
I don’t have the Dexcom app box checked. I didn’t know what “requires patched version with data broadcasts” meant. My set up still works. My only issue is when it grabs the data it adds roughly a second longer virtually every time which will sometimes make it so the score on my watch is 1 score behind my receiver/app. Do you think if I checked this box it would correct this?
Hi. I need your help. I just bought a galaxy watch 4 after finding your video, thinking that I would follow you steps. Problem is I have a Galaxy S23 that does not allow download of the Wearable Widget app and I'm lost. What can I do? Please help! Thanks in advance.
@janathiele6115 have you tried the Blose app? It’s easy and reliable in my opinion. Blose: My favorite CGM Watch Face with Low Alarm Vibration. ua-cam.com/video/tJQJmGYLOVQ/v-deo.html
Good video. I spent at least 3 days and countless hours trying to get this to work. It has failed miserably. I can't believe that it would be so complicated just to get a Dexcom readout on my Galaxy watch. How many apps do you have to download and interconnect??? I surely tried. Thank you anyway. By the way, I am a retired computer tech and I followed you video step by step. It still did not work.
Hi Jerrye. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you. Follow this method, it's much easier and works for most of my viewers. ua-cam.com/video/tJQJmGYLOVQ/v-deo.html
I've got this working in New Zealand, between a S22 Ultra and Watch 5, brilliant! Question though, it seems to fluctuate between update times, from 3mins to 13mins. Is there a way to manage this?
Great job, Ray. Greetings from Arizona. I have noticed the same occurrence. However, when this happens, I check my watch, and then it usually does a small blue circle for a few seconds, then updates. If this doesn't work, I'll check the app on the phone to make it update. Also, I've noticed that if I am in an area with poor internet, the share app is unable to provide the watch with the current numbers.
FYI: It looks like my notification settings weren't enabled correctly in the phone settings for the follower app. Made sure this was enabled (I have it silent) and appears to be working better, roughly every five minutes I get an updated on the watch (showing between 2-7 minutes)
I have a Samsung s22 ultra. The wearable widget said it was for an older version on Android , so there another way to get my dexcom reading on my Samsung pro 5?
If we are using xdrip, would the Dexcom Share even be required here? I have a Watch5 arriving today and will be setting it up ASAP. The G-Watch Wear App looks like it supports xdrip+ as a source as well. And thanks in general for channel. Type 1 here (graced with it at age 39...now ~15 years ago), and my wife is a firefighter/EMT, so it all resonates with me. Cheers.
Great question Chris. I'd love to see if you can find a work around using xdrip. Let me know how it goes and I'll be sure to relay the info. Tell your wife I said be safe out there and keep up the good work 👏.
@@typ3me It works fine with just xDrip+. No need for Dexcom share in that scenario. Also, I don't think you should need to configure it for both Samsung and Wear OS devices in the settings, although you did mention you had issues with the WearOS part. At least in my case with the Watch5 it showed both Samsung and WearOS, but I only configured the WearOS. Thanks for the good work.
Love you're name. Yes I have a solution. I have a new and much simpler method for you to view your CGM numbers on your smartwatch. It has also proven to be very reliable. Just try this method out. ua-cam.com/video/tJQJmGYLOVQ/v-deo.html
Thank you, I'm a t1d mom and has always followed our daughter with sugarmate and apple watch. But now when I have an Samsung phone I was looking for a watch that could do the same. After your video I'll buy a galaxy watch 4 and try to set it ut. It seems a lot easier than nightscout setup 😆 Just a question, we are from Sweden and uses mmol, is there any way to change mg/dl to mmol? And you said "make sure to tick in that you are a US user". Won't it work outside the US?
Hi Jegar, great question 🤔. I believe that the watch face copies your cgm data according to your region. If you try it let me know. Additionally I'm dropping a tutorial today with a new cgm watch face that users mmol/L as it's default. Give it a watch, I'm sure you'll love it
@typ3me hi, I've set everything up now. It was quite a hassle until I realised that it's the head dexcom login that was supposed to be typed in, not the follow login. But I made it work both this one and blose. I'll only use blose though ☺️
Thanks so much! I used Wear Installer with the G6 app successfully with my Fossil Gen 5, but kept getting the "check on phone" watch face when I installed the G6 app on my new Fossil Gen 6 with Wear OS 3. I did get this widget method to work, but the text seems very zoomed in on the watch face (parts are cut off). Any idea how to make it smaller?
In your video, how did you download a Dexcom Watch Face? That is the one I want. I do not want to create my own widget. Also, the wearable widget does not show up in my downloaded section of the "watch faces." Thanks
Sooooo happy got mine working again been waitin and hopin you would have a good hack!! I havent been able to see my cgm numbers on my watch in forever!! Perfect instructions!!! Thank you!!!!
@@typ3me So happy still working even after changing sensor lol only prob is time is in center top and there is like a W i guess for widget app it covers the first number in minutes. if that makes sense?! Any suggestion. Thinking in the widget app somewhere cant figure out where!!
I'm glad it helped you. , I suggest going back into the wear widget settings and rearrange your clock. I have mine set to top and center. I explained it in the video but it can be hard to follow if you've already set it up. Good luck and enjoy.
Perfect. I used it now to connect Dexcom G7 with my Samsung Galaxy watch 5. I used the standard face of G-Watch. Actually Dexcom can't provide a connection to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 with the G7, by using theyr own watch face.

I have the watch 6 and it wont work on mine i love samsung but im seriously thinking on getting apple watch and phone because dexcom g7 is available there 😢
Note 20 5g and watch 6. No luck because that wearable widget is for old versions. The blose I don't know what to do about the "share credentials" error. I'm sick downloading all these apps and nothing works.
I've tried this twice now - followed all of the steps exactly as you show but I still do not have any cgm values on my samsung watch 5. Everything i do matches with the video until the step where we download Wear OS and then the values just pop up on your screen- still nothing for me. Any advice?
I'm so sorry it doesn't work. You might be able to try the method in my first video have you tried that one yet? ua-cam.com/video/EV0sakMFLEQ/v-deo.html
@typ3me I REALLY appreciate your help - but the other video doesn't work for me either. For some reason I can download the Wear Installer app on my phone, but not on my watch. I can't find the watch version in the Google play store or the Wearable Play store. Am i doing something wrong?

Hello is a Dextron device required to measure blood sugar or is a Galaxy smart watch 4 or 5 the only piece of hardware one needs. It sounds too good to be true if that is the case.
I have a S9 and watch 4. For some reason, I cannot get the watch face to show up on my wearable app. It was successfully paired on g watch and wearable widget, but its not syncing to the galaxy wearable app for some reason. Any suggestions?
There can be many different settings and software version factors. Have you tried the Blose app. It’s very easy to set up and works with most watches on Android.
Getting error code 2049 samsung accessory can not be initialed. My watch is getting data sent to it. Any ideas on why this could be? I have both apps installed. Can't make any adjustments to the watch face due to this error
Thx, nice watchface. Very large figures. 1 problem I have, I don't see te whole widget. The bottem is cut off, I don't see the whole figure. I followed your steps and did exactly the same. In the menu "sizing type" I selected "fit widget inside screen".
FYI: If your smartphone's font size is larger than usual, the data from DexcomG6 watchface will not completely appear on the watchface. The lower part of the glucose data is not completely on it. This can be solved by resetting the font on the smartphone to normal.
Hello! I am not great with tech but REALLY want this to work. My app store wont let me download the widget app because its made for an older version ... what do i do????
Hi I have a new and much simpler method for you to view your CGM numbers on your smartwatch. It has also proven to be very reliable. Just try this method out. ua-cam.com/video/tJQJmGYLOVQ/v-deo.html
I did get this to work but it seems to limit me to using my watch ONLY FOR GLUCOSE. I really need a tile that I can flip to when I want to see glucose or small complication that I can see on other watch faces.
So the watch has to be close to the phone? I need a watch that I can use by itself and leave my phone elsewhere. Tho i still may try this anyhow. I just need a watch that can read my sugars while at work where im not aloud to have my personal phone.
Hi Boyd. The first CGM with the capability to do this is the G7. As soon as they "flip the switch" it will work with Apple watches to deliver CGM readings independent from phones. I hope they approve it soon. Fingers crossed.
Hi! I was super late to this but I saw your reply to my comment on your other video and you never fail to amaze me! Again, thank you sososo much very helpful! :)

Interesting,, thank you so much for sharing. I had another viewer that had the same issue but couldnt get past this point. I'll be sure to relay your method.
@@typ3me Sadly it seems this app is no longer updated and is no longer valid with the newest versions of android.
Hi Ben, here from The Netherlands : it works. My wife is super happy with it. Truly thankfull!!
You're very welcome Karelmom.
I was so excited to find this video but unfortunately wearable widgets is not compatible with s22 and above which is the phone that came out today the watch 5 did. Do you know of any alternative widget wearable apps?
Hi Windy, Follow this method, it's much easier and works for most of my viewers.

Thank you So much. Following my Dexcom on my watch is part of the reason I bought my watch. I couldn't get your last hack to work on my watch but this on work so well just wish I could keep my holiday face on an scroll to the Dexcom when I want to look at my sugars. Is there a way to do that?
Hi Jennifer, You're very welcome. There is no way to do holiday cgm faces yet, but when I find one, I'll definitely let you know.
Thanks so much for the easy to follow instructions. However it does not seem to work on my Galaxy #6 watch. Do you have any suggestions for that version or is it not available. Thanks
Yes, I have a solution for you. Here is a simpler method I found that is very reliable.

I had already switched to g-watch but it's so hard to read on the normal faces. Thanks for making this video I didn't know about wearable widgets! It's so much easier to see
Your very welcome!
Followed the steps for dexcom g6 and a samsung gear 5. Working great! Many thanks for the step by step video.
You're welcome James, enjoy buddy.
Hi Opp, I also have the omni5. Samsung has never had a g6 galaxy watch app. So yes this should work for you. Good luck 👍
Thankyou so much! I can now follow my 4 year olds glucose levels on my watch 5! Such an easy to follow explanation.
Your very welcome 🙏 🤗 ☺️
I got it working. Yay! I am trying to reduce the font size on the smartwatch. How do I do that?
Hi Washadog, Try going to the Wearable Widget app. Go to settings and select round screen sizing or crop widget
Thank you for this! We've been having a lot of issues to get Dexcom readings on my son's Galaxy Watch 4 - these steps helped us get it working again!
That's is FANTASTIC! I'm so glad that the video was beneficial to you and your son. Peace of mind is a powerful thing.
I just did this and it worked! YAY! Is there a way I can have my normal "watch face" back and just have the dexcom # as a 2nd "widget"?? Thanks so much!
Yes, set the CGM as a tile, and then you can scroll from watch face to cgm readings.
@typ3me awesome just did this your awesome thank you
Thank you! Your step by step directions made set up a breeze! So thankful I'm now able to follow my son.
You're so very welcome!
I installed it on 2 watches I'm so grateful! Thank you for replying so fast to my other question you are amazing. Thank you!!!
Woo-hoo!
Thank you!!! I finally can see my Dexcom! I appreciate you.
You're welcome, Pastor Janet.
Do you still need to carry your phone so it's within 20 feet or can you leave it at home?
Yes unfortunately the app works via Bluetooth and requires you to have a nearby.

Wow great info Marcos. Thank you and enjoy!
Thank you Sir, watched the hack video yesterday and failed miserably. Just found this updated version, working well except the bottom 20% of text is cut off. Can anyone help with my boomer moment? Thanks!
Hi Craig. Yes, go to the Gwatch widget app on your phone, then settings, then crop widget, or round screen sizing. Hopefully this helps.
You're welcome, Craig. Good luck, buddy
Thanks great video. Just got my watch and all seems to be well with this face bu t is it possible to have an image as the widget background instead of a solid colour?
Thanks, Scott. You can change the background color in the settings, but image backgrounds on this app are not yet an option. Happy Holidays.
@@typ3me Thanks, have a good Christmas 👍
Hope everyone stays safe!!!
do you have a video for Dexcom G7 for Samsung Galaxy watch6?
Does the Galaxy Watch work alone, without your phone nearby or any android watch?
I always begin with a hard restart of both phone and watch.
Hi, does it still work even if my phone isn't on wifi/internet ? Will it still show the values up on the watch ?
The phone can still send the numbers to your watch via bluetooth as long as it was been previously synced and as long as your phone has an internet connection.
The hack version was always hit or miss, and I couldn't get it to work after a previous watch update. Great instructions and I'm now getting full utility out of my watch - I bought it for this!

Hi Kandice. To answer your question, not that I know of. I now prefer the Blose face. That one is beautiful.
Hi, re Blose app, does the Dexcom share option meant you're phoned needs to be connected to the cloud/internet. Can't the Blose app just get the information from the phone directly without having to access the cloud?
No, unfortunately the Blose app reads the info from Dexcom share via your phone. This is then transferred to the watch face via Bluetooth.

I don’t have the Dexcom app box checked. I didn’t know what “requires patched version with data broadcasts” meant. My set up still works.
@typ3me atleast it's not me going mad! I'll play around and see if I can figure it out

My Galaxy 23 Plus is too new to use the Galaxy widgets. I have the Samsung 5 pro. Where do I go to now.
No worries. Download the Blose app it works great on the s23.
Does anyone know if this works for the Dexcom g7 as well?
I do not get the screen to create the widget when I go through Wearable Widgets. Do you now have to purchase them?
I cannot get Wearable Widgets to download into my Galaxy Wearable? Any help?
OK.. I did get it download finally but when I did the OS thing nothing else came up other than time at the top
Hi Mary I'm sorry you are having so many issues with this method. I have a new method that is much easier to use. Try this.

Hello is a Dextron device required to measure blood sugar or is a Galaxy smart watch 4 or 5 the only piece of hardware one needs. It sounds too good to be true if that is the case.
Hello, as explained in the video, you will need the Dexcom g6 with the follow app to see your glucose numbers on your smart watch.
@@typ3me even if dont use dexom?? I only have libre 3 senzor
Have you tried a hard restart on both gadgets
My husband has a Galaxy 6 Classic watch. Wearable widget is not available for this watch. Can you help with another option? Thank you
Yes the Blose app is a great option
What if blose isn't available on my device either.
@mattjefferson9111 Dobyou have the g6 or g7
Thx, nice watchface. Very large figures.
1 problem I have, I don't see te whole widget. The bottem is cut off, I don't see the whole figure. I followed your steps and did exactly the same.
In the menu "sizing type" I selected "fit widget inside screen".
Hi Luc, sorry the problem is that not all watches fit the face exactly. I have a 44mm and it barely fits
@@typ3me Thx for answering
FYI: If your smartphone's font size is larger than usual, the data from DexcomG6 watchface will not completely appear on the watchface. The lower part of the glucose data is not completely on it. This can be solved by resetting the font on the smartphone to normal.
Great advice Luc! Thank you.
Need an update: The Wearable Widget is made for an older phone. I have S23+. Which app would I need to download.
I would just use the Blose app. It’s much easier to load and very reliable.
Does the Galaxy watch work without having my phone around?
No the technology will work with the G7 and iwatch, but it's not available yet.
I wasn't able to install the Wearable Widget app on my Galaxy Watch 4. The Play store said I don't have a compatible device. I'm sad now. Any ideas?
Yes try the Blouse app
I'm just started using dexcom today and I can't figure out how to set this up on my galaxy watch 3 ? I have s23ultra
Hi Jr R. Following this method, it's much easier and works for most of my viewers.

Does this work on Samsung Watch 5?
Yes, the Blose does
Hello! I am not great with tech but REALLY want this to work. My app store wont let me download the widget app because its made for an older version ... what do i do????
Hi I have a new and much simpler method for you to view your CGM numbers on your smartwatch. It has also proven to be very reliable. Just try this method out.

Thankyou!!!!!!!!! ❤
Can I connect the medronic's app mini med mobile with my galaxy watch 4?
No unfortunately this is not currently an option.
I have an S23 Ulra and a watch 4. This worked for me! Thank you!!
Great phone! 👍
@typ3me With your help! Really, you should be a teacher. Your videos are calming and informative kind of like Bob Ross
😆
I did get this to work but it seems to limit me to using my watch ONLY FOR GLUCOSE. I really need a tile that I can flip to when I want to see glucose or small complication that I can see on other watch faces.
Yes, tiles are a great solution. Or you can just use the Blose app instead.
You're very welcome!
You're the best. Cant thank you enough
Thanks, Darwinian!
How do I get the trending graph to show up in the middle across the watch like you have it in the video? My trending graph shows up very small only on the right side.
Make sure to follow my configuration steps towards the end of the video
@@typ3me Reinstalled my widget with a new phone and now the glucose number reading is cut off on the bottom? How do I fix that?
Hi Andrew. Following this method, it's much easier and works for most of my viewers.
